im a bit curious about this one myself? i dont know the details of the comp nor do i know if the numbers are correct but if there were supposed to be 5 judges how did it drop to 3? also assuming there were 5 judges and assuming seoinage was supposed to get 5points per judge for his 41lb weight gain bonus, how did he end up with 24.5 total points???

Maybe they only counted 5 once which is understandable but wasn't clarified. Even then that puts my score at 19.5, which is hardly even congruent with my results. It's undeniable I put on serious muscle mass, I wanted to take full advantage of my first cycle.

Apparently the comp was mislabeled, conditioning classic might have been more appropriate. I know cape said no fat asses are going to win this. But just look at my start to finish and the changes in fat and muscle.

I have nothing against the other competitors nor the work and effort they put in. But something is seriously wrong with the judging if I can put on 25 lbs more than the average, and reduce my love handles and come in last. I have a sort of breakdown from one judge, and appears other judges weren't counted.

Members feel free to tell me if I made no progress and m delusional. I'll even post better pics of the before of me flexing in the same poses. I know my lighting was awful all coming from the front and the oil reflection killed definition but even with that its obvious what I accomplished. Not saying I should be first but all things considered I considered and do consider myself closer to the other end of this thing. Please competitors don't take this as an I'm better than you post. I don't want to take away from your accomplishments.

Dont know about TR yet but it sounds like Vette was unknowingly. Maybe someone will chime in and clear this up.

Guys, last I knew I was in. Somewhere along the lines 'someone' made a decision and decided to change the rules, without the consideration of explaining it to me, and as far as I know openly to the contestants and open board. From what I read above, TR was not a judge either. Cape, you just noted who the 3 three contestants were. Surely you asked the question about what happened to the other judges? As a contestant, I know I would have. I wouldn't want my fate just lying in the hands of a panel of 3, and other contestants know you and Misery are tight, surely they would have wanted more judges in the mix, and possibly a few from the staff, like TR and me, who are 45+.

Somebody please explain why this happened! Also, lots of members (including myself) were generous enough to donate to help boost morale for this contest. I don't mind doing things like that for a good or fun cause, as I have the means, and I want this place to be a success! I think it's only fair that all proceeds put forth to this contest are transparent, and a breakdown of the prize money to each contestant be posted. If you watched the golf tournament, or any other contest this past weekend, you know exactly what 1st place really meant to the winner, 2nd, 3rd, ... etc.

I fully expected details about the contest winnings would have been revealed from the start. What better way to motivate people than to clearly see what they have a chance at winning.

We put 20 dollars in as a contestant that was said to go for shirts. That plan changed at some point, not a huge deal but for things to be organized properly that kind of thing should be the same and not deviate unless its before the money is collected. As well as with donations it's almost like a third party like admin should be the one to submit all monies and donations to. And even then you still need impartial judging.

I know one of the judges didn't put cape in the top three. Which means something is fishy to put him that much higher than someone like big furry.
Hate to be the disgruntled contestant to bring this to light, but obvious is obvious.

There will not be another contest. At least none that I will be involved in or in charge of. I tried my best to be fair to all and make everyone happy. I was not able to do so. I got nothing but complaints. If I changed something to make others happy, than someone else would get pissed and blast me. All I was trying to do was help people achieve their goals of self improvement with a friendly comp. But as soon as I posted the results every thing went to shit.

Vettester and TR I'm truly sorry for my lack of communication. I hadn't heard from either of you on the contest thread so I figured you guys were busy with other things. I take full responsibility for that.

Bonus points... I said **** it. Everyone did such an amazing job and worked so hard that I told the other judges just to score them straight on the 3 areas. I didn't properly announce it because everyone was basting me for the scores and placings. If I weren't in such a rush to get those to you I personally would still be looking at the pictures and scoring. I like to take my time and do it right.

I hope that clears things up. However it probably won't do anything but cause more problems and bring me more complaints. No worries I have rhino skin.

For the record I like the competitions, they could turn into something big, lets learn from our mistakes, correct issues and grow as a community.

A couple of major flaws

1: no clear vision or mission statement on what the judges would be looking for in final judging. Some of us ( me included) were led to believe it was a bulking competition , so we put weight on and left conditioning thinking we would win by putting on weight and size.

2: not enough starting pictures for comparison, lets get a standard 8 picture posing routine so proper comparisons can be made.

Were persons privy to results prior to a final announcement? From your comment that is how it sounds. And finally you are getting extremely defensive for someone that didn't do anything wrong, and are quick to back out of this. Ever watched the show mystery diners?

I think the comp is a great idea and the motivation from me was beyond brutal. But you need to have things laid out in a strict fashion and not budge in order to make people happy.

And shovelhead, I think the judges should post up each of their individual scores for each competitor so we can see what transpired.

You want answered talk to the judges. I did what everyone else did. The best I could. Don't put me into some sort of conspiracy. I put the 15 lb minimum on and kept lower body fat with definition. Exactly what was discussed. Add weight keeping bf low and look good. I think I met each of those requirements. Don't come at me for pushing myself over the 15 weeks of this competition.

It's hard to blame him for bringing up this 'fishy bullshit'. If you look at it objectively, i'm sure you'll be able to see what he sees - and it does look fishy. I'm not saying it is, i'm simply pointing out what it looks like - to a complete outsider like me, who had absolutely nothing to do with this and didn't follow it at all. Relax... I don't think you need to get so defensive.

The missing piece right now is TR. Looking forward to his perspective on all of this.

The problem is that when things like this go on and the board is used as the 'vehicle', we all appear responsible, especially to uninformed members just browsing through.
