To pool our money together for unforeseen happenings sounds good in theory but in practice, once you do that, the costs multiply. Look up how much it costs per year for full health insurance from a private company. I would rather have it that those who are unable to work get this for free, while everyone else gets to make as much money as they want and choose to which degree they wish to be insured. Look how heated the debates become every time we try to talk politics. Because we are all extremely unique due to both genetic and environment we will never like the same things. We have representative democracies so we should agree on one person who is ideal for our political values. This is like saying we will all agree on which time we will wake up next sunday, what we will eat, which time we will crap (and how much paper we will use to wipe ourselves), how we will position ourselves on our chairs to feel comfortable et.c. Then every time we feel someone voted wrong on one of these things and we suffer for it, we will eventually lash out. I don't even see the meaning of debates when it gets like this. It's not that if we minimize government, we wont be able to do things we do now. For example those who wish to help refugees of war, may freely open the doors of their homes and help them, instead of pooling the whole nations resources to do it in a very ineffective manner (I don't even want to remember what the cost per refugee is). Some things are unavoidable so there is meaning behind having a fiat currency and taxation. Some regulation is needed. Funding for research. Emergency services. And even then there will be disagreements. People just need to get a good grip on the notion of property ownership and that it is wrong to decide how to use other peoples property or how they should live their lives. I am just hoping anti aging research succeeds so I can watch the evolution go on for a couple hundred years. If dramatic things happen soon then the evolution will speed up. Maybe we will communicate and remember more due to the internet. Hopefully for each stage of evolution the world will learn and set up new rigid systems to not allow the same thing to happen. This sets the stage for fighting corruption, providing real education, sound economic policies which focus on real growth measured in how to enrich our lives, not how to raise the prices of stocks only to have them crash and create debt bubbles, and so on...
Great point on the refugee crisis. People who want them should put up the money and keep them in their homes. I have no problem with that, however, it could be seen as a type of 'slavery'. I paid for you to be here, gave you a job and a home, now you work for me. Not sure if would work like that, but I could see it going something like that.

Forced multiculturalism does not work. The rich and the politicians are out of touch. They do not have to mingle with the scumbag immigrants. Have you noticed when immigrants came from europe back in the day there was some tension on the new arrivals but people assimilated because judeo Christian values from europe are compatible and people will get along and find common ground. But the new class of immigrant the non european is a different sort. They are much lazier and much less compatible with our way of life.

Asians are a odd exception if a asian could break the laws of physics and work 30 hours in a day they would do it. Asians are honourary europeans.

I agree to some extent, especially with the laziness. They are still living in the Stone Age in the Middle East.

No, I never said they should enter a contract where they accept help and then work for them. I said if they want to help them, they can help them by financing the help themselves - housing, food, and assist them in looking for a job and/or getting an education, then they are free to do whatever they want, be it become a normal citizen or live off of the one who helped them forever. Because the way it is happening now, is very few people want to help them, but everyone is taxed for it. And not there either is there any kind of contract where they get help and then pay back the government. The economy will supposedly improve since they will work and produce and pay taxes during their lives. But this is a lie that was disproven over two decades ago by economists and statisticians, even government workers; immigrants from particular countries never made it in the job market and most live on the dole. You do the math and see where this will take us in the next decades.
