Yes it is OK to eat at 7:00am if you wake up, between fat/carb load meal and prejudging you can eat some chicken and potatoe and PB at 3:00pm...this way it won't be so dry...at this point you can not fak it up...good luck Bro!Originally Posted by drinu

i finished in 2nd in my show. but apparently i had too much dreamtan on which washed out my definition (yeah, imagine the irony of using dreamtan to enhance my definition cause i'm real fair and it ended up washing out my definition instead) which might have cost me my first place finish. nonetheless it was a good experience.
i have to say it's probably thanks to mike. one question though, i was still peeing around 14 hours after cutting water. did i go wrong somewhere or is this normal? it's not like a trickle of pee but quite a significant amount, i'd say.

i'm not too sure if i wanna cut another 2 hours because i was on the verge of fainting on stage. when my name was announced, i turned left instead of right. i swear it was embarassing. but i have to add i only had 3.5 hours of sleep as i was too afraid the night before to sleep so that might have added to the fainting spell.. would adequate sleep with additional cutting of water help?

i can say this diet worked pretty well but probably i needed to carb a little longer as i did not come out full as expected but thats what we learn from trail and error

MIke i normally do 1.5-2 days carb up before a show but always come in flat i want to give this approach a trail this coming weekend for my next show the week after (14th may) my question is that the weigh in is at 1pm but i won't be onstage until 5-6pm how long does it normally take to get the best results from this approach i understand that this is a loaded question somewhat....

i trialed this approach today with decent results i did find that i need to change the food types to less sweet as i felt sick and i have to agree eating crap without water is not much fun....a few alterations for next week should have me coming in nice and tight.

Mike, I used a similar diet myself this year, but carb depleted hard for 2 days, than loaded from Thursday on. Never ate like shit until a ccouple hours before show time or less. I never felt like I get get a good pump or really fill out. It sounds like your technique of loading earlier may work for me. I remember that I also could not keep the vascularity high.
Any suggestions on what to eat to get the veins out? I tried grease,fat,sugar etc weeks before show time but nothing seemed to really effect me.

Mike, I ***leted carbs Wednesday-Thursday. Drank normal high water intake, kept sodium in.
Friday-drank 1/2 gallon water before noon, then cut water out. No sodium all day. 10 grams carbs all day. Friday evening I ate hamburg and baked potato(can't stand sweet potatoes) to start load process. about 12 oz. water before bed. continued 2 meals and some rice cakes-plain through night.
Saturday- woke up and continued loading on hamburg and potato. I was hoping the fat in the hamburg would help fill me out and make me more vascular. no sodium still. weighed in, continued loading. About 1 hour before show my legs looked like sh*t. I scarfed down about 8 chicken wings coated in hot sauce. Sodium supercharge. This sucked my remaining water into the muscle. Felt much fuller than previous contest and had better hardness. I also ate a small amount of chocolate.
This said, I still wasn't as cut as when I completely water ***leted last year. But, I was fuller and got a better pump. I think there is a give and take here. If you have plenty of muscle, dry out completely and rip up. But if you want to hold a little more size and still look good, this works.

First of all bad ass post, been looking for some quality advice and i found all i needed here. Wanted to know timing of taraxatone and how much, serving size says three pills in the morning and three in the afternoon. your post said to start one hour pre cutting water and to check your self after midnight and determine if you need another dose? so how would i proceed for tomm, my pictures are at Monday afternoon at 6pm, i plan on cutting water tomm afternoon at 5? six pills at 4 pm and then check at after midnight or just three and check at midnight and take three more?
Hi and thanks for the info! Last show I didn't really feel like I came in as full as I could, so this time I was gonna try this, have some questions though.
1: You said you cut supplements (protein etc) 1 week out, so only protein from chicken and beef for the rest?
2: Running aldactone (diuretic) for just 1 day more or less? Most use it for a much longer time, would there be any harm using it for a couple more days?
3: Also, my show is on saturday (2 weeks from now), was still thinking of depleteing on cod (like i did for last show and it did help) 2,2lbs for 2 days, did use protein shakes then also but maybe I shouldn't? That means starting depletion on sunday + monday and then start loading as you say on tuesday.
4: Do you eat anything on tuesday before the 7pm meal post training?
5: Is it ok to continue cardio wednesday out (comp on saturday).
6: Is it ok to use baked potatoes instead of oatmeal for loading?
7: I do use some salt in my dinner now 2 weeks out, should I cut it the last week?
8: I eat this now: 150cals, 18g fat, 250g protein, 1800cals total I weigh about 217lbs now aiming for about 206-208 come comp day. Think im on time and all but dont really want to cut the cardio that soon.... what do you think?

this might be stupid question but you said on tuesday right after workout take in 100-120grams of simple sugars, and you eat rice cakes for that. So how many rice cakes you eat after workout then?

1. If i have been doing barly any carbs, then start carbing up it won't take my lines away from my abs or legs will it.
2. I have 4days left and my weight is 1lbs over and thats it. So will carb up help me keep my weight on or take it off?
3. The show is saturday-prejudging at 11-noon, so if i am not to depleded but getting smaller it seems can I still carb up on tuesday night/wed/thurs/fri

EDIT - found it. I'm going onstage at about 10:30 AM so I'll load at 6:30 or 7AM. Probably just wait to eat a Snickers at 9:45 or 10:00 before pump up.
