    Hey Mike,

if the weigh in is in the morning around 10am and show is in the evening around 6pm, what is the best time to Fat+Carb load? My LBM is about 130lbs so how much fat/carb should I aim for on the show day? also, Im planning to do a really high carb from tuesday night till wednesday night and moderate carbs on thursday, after two days of high carb I look little watery, so is it really necessary to eat some carbs on friday before the show or wait until saturday morning and do a high carb shitload?

So Mike I read through all six pages and I am still a little confused. I am 12 weeks outs and competed last year for the first time in 25 years. I will attempted to use this approach this year (last year I brought on water within the last 24 hours as you can see). So what I am reading is basically and option to fat/sh#t load either on Friday night and Saturday morning or just load on Saturday morning correct? Pre judging on Saturated morning approx 10am. Also you advise (at least works better for you) is to leave your carbs alone on the last week. Just fat/sh#t load as described?

I was thinking to have a moderate fat meal on Friday night at 5pm (take diuretic at 6pm) and a full blown fat meal at 5am on Saturday morning.....

Pre judging on Saturday morning approx 10am / cut water on Friday evening (approx 18 before show)
Did some research through different sights, would it be accurate to say that if you stay carb depleted throughout your prep week then you can full shit/fat load Friday morning and early Sat morning.
If you do the traditional deplete and carb up week then moderate shit/fat load on Saturday only.
If you do a moderate carb up during the week then full shit/fat load on Saturday morning only.
If you maintain you normal carb intake for the prep week, then moderate shit/fat load on Firday and full shit/fat load on Saturday.
Also understanding that you are in condition and lean enough.....
    Would this sum it up......?
Thanks for your time and knowledge!!

Great read; what's the idea behind the junkfood meals the morning before the show? Is it some sort of needed as a "fat-sugar load" to help you become full?

The concept is to achieve extraordinary results one must take extraordinary actions...its really fat and sodium load, if executed properly and timed well it results in additional muscle fullness and vascularity like no other method can deliver...its all about the timing you do not want to start a carbload any sooner then $ hours after cutting water as you will risk spilling over...

Sorry for such a dumb question but i have to make sure i dont fvck up.

1: Im going to start carbing up in Wednesday (4/8) i going to use old fashion oat meal to help carb up but in have heard that white potato is the best. Are French fries and bagels out of the list of carb up foods? (fyi I ate them on refeed days with no allergic reaction) also I should stay away from simple carbs during this carb up phase until Saturday morning (day of the show)?

2: I see u have 450 carbs for the first day that's 1800 calories in just carbs when I add in my protein it will go above my TDEE (2750). Is that OK our should I adjust my numbers to were I fit my maintain number. FYI I am just coming off Keto diet and I was eating only 1800 calories a day.

3:So when I shit load on Saturday no water or anything to drink. Coffee? No dairy? Does it matter how many donuts and muffins I eat. No Boston cream because of the dairy? Is there anything that is off limits beside dairy and water? Cheese?

    Thank you so much

    1) French fires yes but 4-5 hours after cutting water simple sugars or anything goes morning of the show
    2) Over 1800 is ok, you will be super-compensating and restoring nutrients you are deficient in, now need to worry you will not get fat... :-)
    3) For most part no, anything goes but icecream and water...eat till full and then stop to avoid distended gut...

I know what you mean, i have been returning to the stage for years...yet still to make it there...with wife, kids, work, business and few other things i like to do in my spare time its hard to focus 12 weeks of my life on a show...i love certain aspect of it and hate others...like my friend said, bodybuilding gets in a way of life or life gets in the way of bodybuilding...its a hard balance to strike...

Either way, great job and dedication to get it done...

It took me years to come to this conclusion

But, my wife sure don't seem to mind me this way either - but, not to the extremes. Like last year is when I dropped to my lowest Bf%. I was just horrid to be around, can't eat, live at the gym & snap at everything & everyone. - The close to one G a week of tren couldn't help either.

I am luck or unlucky, depends who you ask and when, that my wife competes as well...she is way more established then i am, 3 times Nationals, 1 time world championships etc...but when we diet together, its a nightmare...there is no blow jobs or eating out for what seems like months...LMAO!...we look like Greek gods and goddesses, but aint no body horney at all...bwhaha! its a misery at its best...and now with 3 kids, its even more annoying...selfish sport is right, i think all married people should move out for 2 month before the show...haha!

Damn, a lot of that hit home with me as well. I've been thinking about it for a long time and many friends constantly yell at me for not doing it. I've had my eye on Masters Nationals in Pittsburgh as I keep reviewing past winners in my age group and honestly think it's very weak. It would be neat to get a pro card just to say you did it! Then all the contest galleries results roll through on MD and I've yet to see one in my age group that I'd have difficulty with, in my seemingly non-humble opinion on this one. And conditioning comes easy for me, yet I don't know why I won't pull the trigger? Maybe I need fvckn counselling.

@ Tice. GREAT work. It's something you'll look back on proudly.

You got my full support man you should go for it you don't wanna look back when you're older and see that you could have had a pro card and didn't get one just because you didn't take the extra step! "The best way to get ahead is to get started!"

Plus would be extremely cool for not just me but many many people here seeing a log of your contest prep haha

LMAO - Wow, yeah. . . It's kinda why I'm happy with the way me & the wife are now. Pretty fitted up, but not extreme. I'm def a few levels up from my wife/She lifts at least 3-4 times a week. But, she's close to jumping on any time now. As soon as I am done with my BS job, most likely.
