This is what I was thinking a carb cycle would look like
136lb at 24%bf it says my tdee is 1867 - 2105 depending on my activity level
Mod days
151.5 p = 606 cal
45f = 405 cal
124 c = 496 cal
1507 calories in all 360c below tdee
Light days
Same as above but only leafy greens
About 1,011 which is about 856 cal below
High days
151.5 p = 606 cal
45f = 405 cal
300c = 1200 cal
2,211 cal in all which is 300 above tdee
Does this look right?

I didn't calculate it Bina but if your going off of 3 low 1 high at 40% lower on carb days then 15% higher on high days(% is below or above reg TDEE)...
Then it would follow suit... Also I was thinking how do you respond to Lower fats? I've always like my carbs and protein high but w/liw fats(even 30-40g) but for me to gain I usually up my carb intake b/c I respond well to higher carbs low fats high P of course

Thank you for those percentages. My numbers will be off a little because the info I read under the sticky thread didn't give the 40% under 15% above info..or I may have missed it. I will calculate it again based on that.
I prefer higher carbs than fat. I have not done a no starchy carb diet other than when I tried paleo but I was eating ALOT of all sorts of veggies and a little fruit. Are you saying I may want to lower my fat down a little more? I couldn't find a daily breakdown of percentage of p/f/c for this cycling either. So I guessed. I should have asked first. It seemed dependent on how much protein you had to eat. So I did that calculation and then split my remaining calories between carbs and fat but gave carbs extra
Sorry so wordy

You still had the right idea! Those can be tweaked as well to fit you... And those %ages are based on the only ones I know... That's what I would start w/and know once your body adapts to it(if it does) you can manipliuate your %ages even moreso to fit your bodies needs!
And yes once you figure out your P or any macro(but P seems to be the obvious as one wants to make sure they're getting enough or build their program around it)... I wouldn't say your taking in too much fats at all I just was adding that as I know many people who respond well to low fats and high C/P(40/40/20) has worked great(50/30/20) is another good one that I may try when bulking next time... Just throwing out ideas / you know your body and how it responds(or if your not to sure yet - diet is tricky - definitely give this a go and Up your cardio if need be(to meet desired goals)

Think the almonds just add fat ... Its only my opinion, but I think the hype about almonds being a superfood is "a bit" exagerated... Once or twice per week its all good imo, but twice a day is over the top... Like Nach I'm also a low fat guy
40-40-20 macro, on high carb day you can go to 50-30-20 or 50-35-15, although is hard to get below 20% fat. Also on high carb days you can up cals 200 or 300. You need to see what works better for you

I haven't time to read all recent posts. Carb cycling is the one thing I have never tried! Everyone who has tried it in the nutrition forum has had great results. They never stop carb cycling once they start or so it seems!

I have been extremely hungry today and yesterday. I have been eating about 80-90 carbs a day and I don't think it is sufficient right now. I still plan to carb cycle next week so I know I will have a couple days each week that I feel this way but hopefully I'll have positive results from it.
I broke out with 4 zits on my face. I know it doesn't sound like much but I NEVER get any zits so this is not okay! I have one on my chin, upper lip, nose and forehead. Almost like a straight line. They are red and ugly! My hair continues to be greasy. I used to go 5-6 days before washing it and I can go 3 max now.

I only had one pimple on cycle. But I did get oily hair. I can go a week but not on cycle. 3 max like you!
I was told that origins spot remover is the bomb! Little bottle for 16$ but works quickly and only requires a little dab. Apply as soon as feel the pimple coming on.

Phentermine sure didn't settle well with me. . . Appetite suppression was great and I felt way alert. But, after a few days I started getting completely mind numbing headaches and had to stop. And I was only taking 1/2 of a 37.5mg pill.
The ol' Ec is plenty IMO

I'm not a low fat person. Without counting calories, I still eat less calories on fat than I do on carbs, but that seems to be highly individual.
Still, I'm not a big fan of almonds either. I think a lot of people can't control their intake, because I think there is something satisfying about the crunch factor. Having said that, I think almonds are better than peanuts, and both are better than potato chips/crisps.
The almonds also add a fair amount of omega 6 fats to your diet, which makes the average person even more deficient in omega 3 (unless you are seriously feasting on oysters or something concomitantly).

Bina. How's it going???
-
05-16-2015, 11:48 PM #65
It has been going. This week has been overly busy!! I have been able to make it to the gym all 6 days and am sore but I don't feel like I've made extra progress this week. My strength is still increasing but I'm not pleased with my fat loss over all.
My goal going into next week is to step up my cardio. My one struggle is with cardio. I hate doing it so it seems to be what I cut when my time runs out. I'm going to add active rest between my sets. This way it won't be kept for last.

I plan to start the Jim stoppani shortcut to shred for my last 6 weeks of my cycle. He has built in active rest.

Lots of guys use hiit approach while lifting so cardio is built in and then do just 20 min on treadmill. It's a way.

Did my first hiit style workout in a while. Felt a little sick when I finished which is a good sign.
Flat bench
W/U 1 set bar x 12
1s 65 x 12
Working sets (did step ups between sets)
85 x 12
105 x 12
105 x 12
105 x 11
(Then the trainer came over and wasted 5 min talking to me :/)
Incline dumbbell press (did butt kicks between sets)
3 sets of 30 x 12
Incline dumbbell flies (did and between sets)
3 sets 15 x 12
Spent another 12 min doing body weight and
Had to leave to get home to get my kids off to school. My workout was short...45min was all I had.

I have a noticeable imbalance on my right side. It is way weaker than my left. This is what the trainer wanted to talk to me about. I already knew it though.
Does anyone have suggestions on ways to fix this. My bicep is smaller and everything is weaker from my shoulder to my calf.

I'm right handed but left is dominant... Always has, but since my right side is weaker(shoulder) I don't ever do more weight in one hand it'll build a muscular imbalance even worse, could cause injury etc, always use same weighted DBs or plates on each side... If the one fails b4 the other your losing yoyr form too! No good, now U could do a few more reps after a set or rest hit that side till it gets stronger... Or work on totally separate like after a session... Does this make sense...

The wife is doing well, muscles are definitely starting to look more defined and she says they are always hard. She is getting stronger too, the weight loss is slowing due to muscle mass increase.
As for the imbalance, I just try to work through it, one side will almost always be stronger. My right is stronger then my left on most things as I am right handed.
