that i don't agree with, i mean i agree that it will kick your metabolism up, but there are better ways to do it, all a cheat meal does is keep your body from entering startvation state by rejecting it's notion that it is in a famine from the calorie deficit you've been giving it, but there are other ways of doing that, but if cheat meals work for you then go for it, to each his own

cheat meals also serve an innumerable psychological benefit.....and i'll give you a cookie if you have any evidence that they harm the dieting process in any statistically significant way

he's just talking about carb refeeds i assume......which is just cheat meals that don't taste as good and don't provide the psychological benefit

i'm cutting, and don't need cheat meals so you can have the cookie, define significant, if you go to IHOP and eat 20 pancakes and syrup then of course that is going to harm your diet

i agree with you that any meal does that, carb cycling, HIIT cardio, eating a big meal of clean food, changing up amount of meals, all these things will trick your body by keeping it from establishing a "routine", keeping it "guessing" if you will

hell yeah bro, cancelling classes as we speak, just write it out with daily caloric expenditure and we'll get crackin'

well as stated earlier to each his own, i don't feel that a cheat meal is a negative in the least. And of course i'm not talking about gorging, but for that day you want a calorie appreciation instead of deficit so it should be sufficient enough to accomplish that added to your other clean meals throughout the day. Often my cheat meals are just whole wheat spaghetti and some whole wheat french bread so i don't know what you would consider that but i call it a cheat meal.....same as going to IHOP.....i'm sure the constant flux in cheat meal composition also helps week to week to confuse the body
