South Bend is a nice quaint middle-sized town that has all what a person needs. Has its problems, like the economy is sucking what little life is left out of it. Crime is increasing, cops getting shot. Overall though a really nice place to live if you find work.

the museums in chicago are GREAT. Many of them are fairly close to one another too. I hear the prices to get into them have sky rocketed unfortunately.

interestingly, i've come to know a couple of ND philosphy professors, being as they Jews in my community.
