One guy this morning brought in his friends to train with him. Dude was decent enough size, but his buddies didn't know what the fack they were doing, and the bigger guy just laughed while they proceeded to screw around on the bench and cables. I asked to work in, made the two friends look stupid, and the big guy and I stayed and actually got a workout in. I love not having to say anything, and know they got my point.

When trainers think just because they have a client, they get priority over the bench/rack and tell you to fvck off

If a machine is open I take it, I will let them work in, but they usually go away cause they can't keep up. I go early in the morning so there isn't too many people in there, the ones that are either know to stay the fuk out of my way, or have enough gym edicate to not tie up the equipment. We have a decent crew of early birds, but every so often a stray comes in and needs to be set straight.

Newbies, newbies, newbies...
We all started once, but some of us had the decency of hiring a personal trainer to teach us the way or at least have the advice of some senior bodybuilder. The kiddos, the office rats and the "New Years' Resolutioners" annoy me great time, also the Look-what- the-bad-use-of steroids -can-cause-dudes.

Personal Trainers, who give truly bad advice.
Personal trainers who teach their poor trainees to lift VERY light weights, take about 30 secs per rep and 3 or 4 minute breaks between sets, whilst they brag to their clients.
People who put a 10 kg plate on each side of the leg press machine and then do 4 sets of 10 at the same weight.
Skeletal women who come in, spend 20 minutes doing CARDIO and then go home.
People who hog the cable machine doing 12 sets of crossovers, teeth gritted with determination, staring at themselves in the mirror WITH ONLY 5kg PLATES.
We have one guy who has been coming for TWO years, he does the same exercises at the same weight 3 times weekly. He never increases the weight and he does each rep very slowly. When I asked him why he doesn't increase the weight, he says "I wouldn't like someone to see me fail". He looks exactly the same now as he did 2 years ago!

also guys that are naturally skinny with a little bit of muscle thinking they are a bad ass walking around in little shirts with their chest pumped and a mean look on their face just because you can see every little bit of muscle they have when in reality they have the smallest mass in the gym

I have a specific item. Today.
Beotches with the 30 and 40 lb v bar but untouched for over 20 min. Because the
- earring hoops large enough for a small bird perch had to be removed and then put back after chest press
- the waist minimizer had to be readjusted after a set
- then the t shirt with sparkly j a m a c I a on front across her chest and the cutouts all across the back needed repositioning.
- there was frequent texting in between the wardrobe malfunctions
- and phone calls
- and music selections.
No F lifting with the 30 or 40 # v bar. Of course the 20 too light and 50 to heavy and the 40 # straight bar too long.
Ok. I had a crappy day. This chic finally got up an after all ^^^^ crap only to reveal a big o booty. Sheesh. Lift ain't fair LoL

The latest is the guy who drives up in his fancy car. Parks in the disabled parking spot. Soon after another guy drives in. The two come into the gym. The guy in the disabled bay, struts in like he is Gods answer to the world. He is the other guys personal trainer!
He spends most of his time explaining to his trainee how to do the exercises and watching himself in the mirror. He uses his phone to time 5 minutes between sets. He does squats, bench the lot, but he is still busy with his third exercise when we have finished and ready to go home.
Someone complained about him parking in the disabled zone, but he alleges that he has a bad knee (so bad he can do squats!).
People like this who are obviously scamming the country on disability should be locked up and the key thrown away.

1. People who complain that I am making too much noise in commercial gyms when I am deadlifting or racking on bench/deadlift. You cannot lightly put down heavy weight and if you want quiet go to a library.
2. People who give "form advice" when they don't know what they are talking about. Happened to me on exercises like pin presses where I was told to use a full range of motion. The point of the exercise is to not use a full range.
3. The classic person who starts unracking weight when someone is clearly working out there. Maybe the person went to the bathroom or water fountain and is coming back, wait a while.

I completely agree. The gym gets crowded and if you want something and no one is there- better jump on it or someone else will. I usually scope out the next station/bench that I want to use so I can migrate over when it's clear or I'll just ask the people nearby if it's open.
