I'm here in Kabul.... north side I believe, opposite side of the traffic circle from Eggers... we live in a heavily fortified residential complex with gate guards and such.... can you see that mountain with the wall on it probably built something like 600 years ago? that's the side of town i'm on....

I'm fairly out of shape... injured in June.... slowly trying to get back into it.... right now just puchups in the morning.... too many carbs in my diet, so not too clean....

know any good local pharms?

the kabul health club is having a social mixer tonight complete with bar..... this is the gym i've been wanting to check out... expats only... no locals.... but it's $90 a month....
then something interesting came up.... on tuesday, i'm taking this little postal clerk class so i can go pick up the mail over at eggers.... that also has a full gym......

went to the place mentioned above last night... more of a club with a small gym onthe second floor... hang out for a few hours.... leave.... right after we leave, the cops raid the place (alchohol is illegal), and all hell breaks loose....

Totally appreciate the offer machine. but i;ve lost some credibility by the mail lady (actually a tech sgt) since they discovered I sent booze to myself. I now have to be squeaky clean if i don't want to lose priviledges.... looking to get some var, but my website said was down until feb 5th.... tooo bad. the var was good, powder, and cheap. and my woman wants to send me stuff too (non aar related) and it would be nice to get some goodies from her.

they say we can get vodka since close to russia and it's stolies.... not a fan of vodka, but I can force myself to drink it. But I guess vodka is better than a kick in the stones

so we were going to the bazaar today, cept one of my co workers wakes up in gthe middle of the night pissing blood.... big commotion, and off to a hospital he goes for tests.... snowing outside.... and no one seems to be anywhere....?

well, looks like we will have to send him to Dubai now for further tests.... he's doing OK and not too much discomfort... but then again he's 72, so no telling what we will find out.
