Nice ride, I may be heading the same way with my wife. Don`t think I'll be buying a car seeing as I drive brand new Benz all the time.

The Camaro is a 98.
I used to to the Import thing, but not any more. I still like em', just love GM for some reason.
If I can afford just about anything though, AMG is where it's at.

Hey guy, enjoy your vette! But just remember in the back of your mind you will always wonder if the chick/guy you are with is with you for you or the car. Of course if you don't care and are on a puss hound mission then all is well. Party on..lol

Nice and 40 is not mid life anymore, 50 is.
Good age to get divorced, you can still pull the young chicks easily. Dont forget to update your facebook page with pictures of you and young hot chicks and make sure the ex still has access, that will piss her off more than anything except as said, making bank $$$. Just keep letting her see how happy and successful you are becoming now that she is gone and not holding you back.
Nothing wrong with having some fun but focus on being true to yourself and fixing yourself. Nothing wrong with being a little boastful and in your face once in a while though. lol

LOL, wife got a Mercury Mariner with all the bells and whistles but later saw a convertible BMW and said she wants one of those. I said sure after you get a good job, finish paying off the Mariner you can get what you want. In the mean time the next toy/car is mine; although I already have 3, Toyota Colrola 2008 comutter car, Dodge Dakota extra cab 4x4 PU and my 91 3000GT VR4 (Dodge version) twin turbo. I need a bigger driveway.

Shouldnt that be at least part of the ex wife's concern also? Why is it always up to the male to make sure the kids have food, clothes, school etc? She made the choice to leave and take the kids shouldn't she be responsible for the bills? No I dont know 100% of the circumstances but I think these things should be taken into consideration before someone packs up and moves out instead of assuming the ex husband must pay for it all.
I guarantee you divorce rate would drop but 50% or more if the rules where changed to there is NO such thing as spousal support or child support and whoever gets the kids has to pay for everything in regards to them. If the custody/visitation is 50/50 then you both pay 50/50. Divorce is almost always financially beneficial for the woman one way or another especially compared to what she had when she came into a marriage. I did say ALMOST. There are always exceptions to the rule.

Didnt Bigdogg already state that he can afford the vette AND pay for kids, mortgage, etc.......

I can probably afford a vette and one for you also. Does that make me obligated to buy one for you? I think his wife wants to leave everything, take the kids and move away then she needs to pay the bills.
Like I said if this stuff was taken into consideration a LOT less women would be bailing but maybe a lot more men would? There are a lot of men who would not mind paying if they really got to be more part of the kids life or at least paying a fare share..
Ive been divorced and I got my kid and paid 100% of the bills.
I think it's BS when a baseball/basketball or someone rich has to pay $100,000 a month or something crazy like that also. If he got the kid would she have to pay him $100,000?

Well......considering what good buddies we are and all, I mean, you know, maybe obligated isn't the word you're looking for.......more like maybe you feel the urge to do something really nice for a pal......I'm just sayin....if it were red it would match my old jeep, you know how important it is to have your vehicles match, right......buddy.

well you don't buy a vette for the interior. The motor and looks is what counts. You buy a cadillac or lexus you want a nice smooth ride and being all comfortable.

the reason people buy nice car's when there older is they can afford it. I'm sure if you could afford a vette at 20 every 20 yo would have one. That is why most guy's who have vette's are older. It's just how it goes. Having a vette at 40 is good. I don't consider 40 old at all.

a vette looks 100x better than a wrx. Driving a wagon is just not cool. Plus if you lined them up at 60 the vette would put train lengths on the old sooby.

Hilarious you think your wrx could beat a vet. Yours may hang with one till about 50. And think that some young guys forget is a muscle car or big motor one, gets faster past 100 mph not slower. I do like the wrx they are fun to drive and handle well.

And couldn't agree more about why doesn't a woman have to pay for something she is causing. Its ridiculous and very sad for the children. I am 29 and can't imagine having to visit my son or daughter. But I do have a vet lol

STi's in some cases aren't a joke or some other cars.
I love GM muscle but there are rice rockets that give me a good run.
The only and only time I took my car to the strip I barely pulled on a STi Wagon. But there were others that were way quicker, I just got lucky.
Running against a DSM is a gamble, if built right they haul serious ass.
