woah i had to measure cause i swear my shoulders were only 51" last time i measured, 56" now. and 51" around chest. almost have 18" arms. attach a pic in a sec.

Ok so i have a problem coming in to this powerlifting meet in march. I have less than 5 weeks, of which the last 1 week is a deload maybe even 2 weeks. I went to squat last night in knee wraps and belt, and for one the belt is getting small, two i couldn't even do close to the weight and reps that I can normally do without any gear assistance.
So it leaves me with two options that I see at this point. Change up my routine and start squating and deadlifting in the belt every training session, start out light and with more reps, keep form perfect like I'm doing a single, and then work my way up each session until the deload, plan it out so I'm doing triples or singles right before within 90% of supposed max. As well as doing the same for pause bench, since I don't know how to pause bench.
Second option is train like I am doing, and compete without a belt or wraps, I should be able to pull off close to a 500 lb squat and deadlift. Considering I've been deadlifting mid 400s and have squatted 445x5 several times with ease.
I just don't know if it's too late to get used to using a belt, my training program that I designed and followed just didn't start using equipment soon enough, or I tried to use it and struggled and stopped doing as much as I should have with it. I could think with proper training eventually I could pull off 550 squat easily, maybe even 600. but not likely without a belt and wraps. I just don't know what to do, I felt like trash last night. Didn't do any accesory work after last night, and it ended up being more of a try this on type session and didn't get much out of it, I wanted to do triples and work up to 500 lbs, but I was having a hard time with sub 400 lbs. I don't know if the size of my belt could be an issue as well, but to get a replacement in a bigger size can sometimes take a month from these small companies, not to mention I am going to be cutting for most of the rest of the year and it would be a waste of 80-90 bucks.

Yeah but if I put it in the powerlifting section no one will read it, just have to go to a board that has some professional lifters, should get a few responses on what to do.
