LMAO, no sir, they were in there, but it is hard to pick out. I'm going to go back and clean up the post a tad and add a couple of values. My serum glucose generally runs high 70s to low 80s when fasting unless I've been active then it gets down into the 50s to 60s. I believe the GH is bumping it up a smidge. I've been monitoring it several times a week since starting GH and it has crept up a tad.
LOL, was shooting the breeze with Kel one morning and mentioned to him I had one small scare. I checked my glucose and it was like 380mg/dL or something crazy like that. About dumped my guts, but them I noticed the wife had stashed some strips back from over a decade ago. I rechecked with fresh strips and was 58-ish if I recall correctly, which was more like it because I had missed a meal.
I do plan to supplement after my Dr. appointment in a month. Just have to get my total and free T in range...really only my total T, that's all she will check. She knows my free T is banging past the upper end of the range but says as long as I am healthy, keep my Hct and Hgb @ reasonable levels, and feel well she is content to just check total T.Last edited by almostgone; 01-09-2018 at 01:17 AM.

It was fine before, I just had a blind spot from the stroke I guess. Yep, looks really good. I like that your doc will just test total, that’s all she needs to be within the standard of care.
Agree the GH is bumping up the glucose but I don’t think it will get much higher. I would supplement with some psyllium husk for sure.
Strong work!

It varies. About half of the week I eat 2-3 whole eggs, 4-5 egg whites, and either a big bowl of oats or grits ( think of it as redneck rice) for my morning meal. The other half I have a big @ss salad with 6-8 oz of chicken breast or flank steak, pumpkin seeds, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, Roma tomatoes, and a little watered down dressing.
...and some unsweetened iced tea. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Nothing worse. Makes me nauseated just thinking about it. I got the same last year from some fancy Italian meat on a pizza. Puking so hard I thought my eyes were going to pop right out of my head, and when done I would just lay on the bathroom floor in a puddle of sweat til I could crawl back to the bed. Brrrr!

Btw, morning all. Chest yesterday, like to give a day before back so about to hop on the spin bike. It’s my way of torturing myself/penance for past mistakes - I hate the spin bike. Unfortunately only cardio I can do with my knee right now. Want to give up cardio except for walking on trails but not conducive to burning fat, so...
Only thing I can think of worse than spinning is spinning while listening to ABBA.Last edited by TRA; 01-09-2018 at 11:43 AM.

Well fellas i had a visit to the ER last night -
1. my shoulder was shooting up my neck and down arms into fingers like never b4 it was excruciating pain - could lift anything up or couldnt let anything down(like a negative holding nothing) shot pains all throughout my R side of arm
2. my neck felt so bad - i have that c-6 vertebrae nerve coming off my spine which is pinched trapped and now herniated
3. ive taken 3-4 days off and it still continues doing absolutely nothing - just when i was gaining again
looks like 20/15/12/10 is my rep range now along with multiple sets - and im want some feedback regarding pressing as it hurts like a MFer along with delt work but the delt work is no pressing just giant sets
what can i do for chest without pressing - or shall i use vertical and hammer strength presses just waaayyyy lighter and lots and lots of cables?
Song i hope your feeling better buddy

Damn Nach, very sorry to hear this. To be blunt, just don't do any exercise that causes irritation to your delt. Do not push through the pain and make things worse. Listen to your body. Hard to do as we're all stubborn fvcks here but you have to do this.

Ugh, probably be a while before you eat more chicken. If it doesn't clear up or you have a lot of bloating, you might want to go see the Dr.?
Hydrate as much as is comfortable. Last time I had food poisoning, I had incredible bloating at my stomach despite the vomiting, etc. Cipro cleared out the nasty stuff. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

More stretching tonight. The 7 day working weeks and long days are rough on this old man. Hope to be posting up that I moved some weight Wednesday night.

I'd continue to take it easy like the others posted, Nach. Defo wouldn't try to mask the pain with NSAIDS, relaxers, or anything. When you do start back, I would go light....I mean light! Even if you have to start off doing pushups resting on your knees instead of your toes.

Really sorry to hear that. Agree with everyone else - stop lifting for the time being. Did they hook you up with some prednisone? Hopefully so and hope it knocks down the inflammation. Did you have an MRI of your neck? I don’t recall. Sounds like some disk space narrowing/disk bulge and a touchy nerve root. If you have a PT that will put some traction on your neck that might help also. Bummer but maybe your body is telling you something just for the time being.
Hope everything else is solid.

Morning all, hope it’s a good day for everyone. Rainy and dreary here, which is okay for a change.
Lots going on on the board this morning!
Marcus - thanks tons for the PM, working through it and digesting (diet stuff), really appreciate the other, mate, will reply later and yeah, you hit the nail on the head in every area.
Clarky - I totally get the fat as f*ck day. I have a couple of shirts I like (yeah, only a couple) and on a bad day it seems like one is tight on my belly and on a different good day I think I look like the Rock. wtf? I used to ask my gf if “this shirt makes me look fat?” Now I just ask her if my fat makes me look fat It will pass. Probably too much haggis, less salt next time.
Cape - glad you finally made it to the gym!
AG - glad you’re feeling good, man!
Kel - hope the leg continues to improve. And hey, while you’re up there, can I toss you my shovel to hold? I’mma take a break from digging down here...
Girly - hope today is a good day for you.
Couldn’t sleep worth a shite last night, has been progressive. Back and bis today so starting to psych myself up already to get an intense lift. Go in to get my suit tailored for the wedding in 4 wks.
Cheers
