Thanks, it was great place. If my marriage ever did go bad I would have something to look forward to that's for sure haha but that place is off limits for me and even telling partial events brings back a ton of memories and desires that are from an old chapter. One not suitable for married life lol

Not sure i follow you LB.
Anyway i'll re post what i was asking earlier.
"Lbyts,
That house looks sweeeet! What a deal! I would probably just stay at one of the long stay motels for my first trip.
For the record, i have backpacked through Quintana Roo (Mex) with only a small backpack that fit into the over head luggage compartment. I did this having NEVER traveled before in my life - i was in my 30's at the time. I researched the heck out it first though, like you did. So i have no problem with a cheap, but clean, motel room and eating local food. And im not interested in touristy attractions like zip lining, animals, petting dolphins, para sailing..ect. When i travel to a foreign land my mind is instantly converted over to think like a local and blend in as much as i can. Unless its something that is a must see/do like a temple or a certain area that is must see.
2500$ for 14 days includes 900 airfare, at the time? And when you say "we" did you go with a buddy?
Thanks for the information. I love reading about your Thai adventures."

I first went to Thailand in November 1984 .... One week Bangkok two weeks Pattaya. Loved it. I will be going to Thailand next week for around 10 days. A few days in Bangkok at both ends of the holiday and a few days with a wifey in her village an hour or so from Bangkok. I have been there many times, sometimes on my own, sometimes with the family and sometimes with my daughter. All different types of holiday!!!
I probably have a few good stories that I could tell

anyone here done Thailand and the Phillipines? Have a preference? I haven't been to either. I might go to the PI to visit relatives, or visit a Thai ex-girlfriend who just moved back to Thailand. I don't have time for both.

I've done both about equal number of times and both of them are great for different reasons and also very similar reasons.
If you have not done either I would suggest visiting your relatives in Philippines.

I've done both but I have been to Thailand many more times. I went to Angeles in the Phillipines and would go there again just to see if it was as bad as the first time I went there. I went to Cebu and it was for a wedding so different circumstances.
There is more crime and guns in the Phillipines and the hotels in Angeles have iron gates and armed guards on the front door, even McD's has two guards with sawn off shotguns on the doors in daylight when te kids come out of school.
I didn't see anything like that in Thailand

Don't know where to start...
I went to thailand for a month after a bad broke up to clean up my mind...it's a really wonderful place to visit and spend time for whatever reason... let's say:
Bangkok it's good for...well you have to land somewhere...
Kho tao= super cool for skuba diving
Kho phagnag= Full moon party...it's a massive rave, you get your drink in a bucket (300ml of wisky, 2 redbull, cola, icequbes) (yes that's your drink!) for 300bath (6 pounds) or if you want to go for something more natural there are tons of mushroom shakes
I absolutely love chang mai, city up to north where I went to jungle, I love jungle, you can go rafting, elephant riding, sleeping in a tribe village etc...make sure you get stuff for mosquitos.
Pattaya= well, let's say for fun, tons of go go bar, make sure you have your condom with you, thai ones are small and brake easy. don't trust any storyes those lady tells you, and try not to fall in love. Eveyone in pattaya is a: "sexy man" "beautiful man" etc... I was super "superstar"...lol
Anyway, If you are not ugly as shit you probabily get laid without paying with go go, but what I learnt is just treat them well.
So regarding the places to go in pattaya I would suggest:
the main street is called walking street, where you can find:
Club insomnia and Ibar= this is a club no go go but it's filled with girls something like 70%girls 30% guys...plenty of choices
And for the go go club I enjoy the shasbury and alkatraz. but anyway it's full of clubs....
wanna ladyboys= soi6
Now talking about my story....don't know where to start... maybe the one where I went in a police station and the girls who was with me wated to blow me in the toilet should be a good start....
So: I was out for a beer in Khang mai,and I met this girl who was a mui thai fighter, we drank several shots together, she payed me some drinks which is unusual and she told me to go and see her fighting next day. It looked like she was fighting some famous farang girl and she was so sure to win that she choose to get drunk the night before...or maybe that was just her lifestyle.... anyway, one of her friends started arguing with another thai girl over a guy they both wanted, and they start a fight. At this point my girl came in...I saw kat fight before but never a professional muay thai kicking another girls head, well, that was hillarius.... I tryed to make a video for the youtubers sake but there was a reall mess over this 2 girls and I was holding her bag and high hills...so no video....
Anyway the police arrived and took only the first 2 girls who started to the police station. But my muay fighter date wanted to go as well so I drove her with my motorbike to the police station.
Well when I was there I needed to use the toilet...so I went and as soon as I open the door the muay fighter came in...I don't know how but probabily she was really quick and my dick disappear in her month in few seconds...I was drunk, I was excited but **** this is a thai police station, I could finish in a jail for a bullshit like that...so I got scared, and I went out the toilet.
After one hour and 500 bath bail the girl's friend was released so we went all home. I took this girl to my place but she didn't wanna ****...only blow jobs...who knows...maybe I hook up with a ladyboys muay fighter...I'll never know...

i suggest 2 books for the newbies travelling to thailand: the first one is private dancer, the second one is angels of pattaya...make sure you read them before falling in love with any thai hooker...not that any of the stuff in the book happened to me..isn'it?...lol...

Alright...it's time I made another contribution to this thread...likely one you guys will appreciate far more.
I'd just like to say that I edited all these pictures and from what I can see I am not breaking any forum rules by posting them....however if one of the admins disagrees with me I will take them down immediately. I don't want to cause any trouble.
First I will post pics of some of the working girls I took home.

These next couple are some random ones I took while there. The one of the ocean was my "backyard" at the Karma Samui resort I stayed at on Koh Samui...which I highly recommend. The only hang up is it's about $1,700 a night (I got an incredible deal cause I knew someone who owned the 5,000sqft villa...no way I could afford that haha). The second one is a picture I took in a taxi in Bangkok, and the last picture is of a little dog that I found sleeping peacefully in a family mart at around 2AM haha.

Anyone watch kick boxing out there?
Tried to watch some, and I did, but it was the 10 year olds division! And they were kicking the shit out of each other!

I actually did catch some thai boxing matches while in Chumpon (not sure of spelling). The tournament was in a crappy bar but the quality of the competition was really good. All the fighters took themselves very seriously. Even the young kids who fought in between the card fights.
The three main events were two matches between 20 year old guys and one match between mid 20's to 30 year old women. All phenomenal boughts, I would stop in at tournaments at this level anytime if I was in Thailand again.
