Well it changes all the time, one side of me thinks how on earth can there be and then the other side thinks what if!!!

I'd say I am more spirituality but as you can see i'm curious and like to ask questions

what are your thoughts Pann?

I like that people find solace in a higher being as it comforts them and I thin that's what matters.

When I was an apprentice I worked with and old boy in his late 50's.
Smoked like a chimney, drank like a fish, ate very little and you could tell he was ill.
Well as years went on he got worse and worse and the doctor eventually told him he only had matter of months left (body was full of cancer)
He was the furthest thing from a religious man. He was a man of fact. If there was something he wanted to know he wouldn't just accept one answer from a book he would read several and form a logical opinion from this.
He was the man who shall we say moulded my mind to the inquisitive lump of grey matter it is today.
Anyway I digress
Once Derek was told his time was to end he changed
He kept sneaking off with the newspaper.
I found him around the back of the building once reading the bible as if he had to hide this from me.
We had a sit down and he told me he was scared.
This upset me as this man who had taught me everything he knew was now doubting everything he believed in.
He told me he was to make peace with god and went to church most days for the last few months of his life.
Towards the end I could see he was happy and if finding his god had done this to a dying man and he lived his last few weeks happy then I say good for him.
If he met his god or not nobody will ever be able to answer.
But if this higher being put a dying man at ease in his last few weeks on earth then I can't knock somebody's beliefs.

Me personally I believe in the universe and everything around me and struggle to believe there is a single creator.
The universe is a vast endless place and can't believe its only inhabited by us on earth its just not possible

That I think is why matters the most if you can leave the world at peace with oneself then surely nothing else matters.
Me personally I would like to die for something rather than because of something.

My oldest friend once said his last words were to be " hold my drink and watch this"

All you need is enough to keep a roof over your head, food in your belly and to keep doing the things you like doing. When it comes down to it, most people don't need all that much money. They think they do, because they've gone ahead and made things more complicated for themselves buying junk they don't need.

I really don't even "get" the people who need to buy nice clothes all the time. I can't stand clothes shopping.

We are so important. WE are so much better than animals. Life has such a profound meaning because we must be so much higher than animals. What makes us different than animals is that we have a soul. We think. Fvcking BS.
Eat shit fvck sleep. What if that's it. Everyone thinks they are so fvcking intelligent and above animals. What if there is no meaning. What if we made up god because we felt the need to be superior to the animals. What if we are not. We may be top of the food chain but that's it. We live we bleed we die. Don't cry. Don't feel inferior. Keep the delusions of grandeur. Keep the farce going that we are chosen.

Just because we have the power of invention, it is arrogant to assume we hold some sort of greater importance over any and all other life on this planet.

What if Artificial Intelligence becomes a reality? And computers can do anything and everything a human can do on a far superior scale? You would automatically submit to that would you?

Humans are clever animals. No more, no less. We should be custodians of this planet, not destroying it.

EDIT: Sorry man, i've re-read your post in full and I agree with it completely. Humanity has the potential of doing so much good for this planet but we're just raping it for selfish reasons. A lot of people are ultimately selfish at the end of the day.

I think 9/10 people who have not believed in god in their life would most certainly want to get straight with him before they die. I am sure when you are dyying that "what if" is all thats on your mind

I do struggle with this superior being called god who controls and created life here on our planet when other things point in different directions but I do like listening to things like this because I am open minded to both sides of the coin.

Good question. It doesn't say in Genesis that God created heaven, earth and hell.

Hell came after the fall. The Fall was the result of the War in Heaven and God cast those that had gone against him down, down which would eventually become Hell.

The War in Heaven happened long before mankind supposedly came around.

genesis 1:1 says God created the heavens and the earth. u have to go back to the original text which is hebrew to truly study scripture. heavens (if im not mistaken) is a description of what we would interpret as the universe: aka, space.. etc..

there is no mention of "Heaven" being created in the Bible as i can recall. my impression of this is heaven always was as this is where God dwells and God is eternal and infinite. he had no beginning..

He is all of those and reigns here on earth. All our sins, our misdoing give him power and strength. He was right there in the garden of Eden, he tempted Eve to eat the apple. Adam then followed and that born us to sin. You ever notice that babies already know how to be bad? They werent taught, they dont listen do as they please and if they dont get what they want they blow a fit. Its in us since birth. This is why when you regain your belief, start living a spiritual life you are born again. Satan will come to Earth again, gain power through the anti-Christ and false profit. This is when our Messiah, Yahshua (Jesus) will once again come to earth, defeat Satan with the words of his father (Yahweh "god") and cast him away for 1000 years.

I walked with the devil for most of my life and when it came time for us to part he attacked me like you wouldnt believe. He trys to keep you knocked down, angry, tries to break the covenant of marriage which our lord holds so dear. Like 405 said, he is angry with God and will do anything to keep us from loving him and our Savior. Thats why life on Earth has turned so grim, through our sins we empower Satan and soon God will bring his reign here on Earth to an end.

You are dead in flesh but not in spirit. This is why religion is so important while your here on earth. You want to become spiritually strong and faithful will be resurrected so after death you will live in perfectness for 1000 years.
