hell is all thru the bible and so is eternal damnation. instead of listening to what has "been said" why not actually get one and open it!? hey theres a thought!

The lost will be judged then and thrown into the lake of fire( this is hell ) they each will be punished to the extent of their sins. The devil will be the last one to die. And NO you will not burn forever and ever like alot teachings teach. God is a loving god and wants each of us to be with him and he would not burn up let's say a 15 year old who died from a car accident cause he was drunk forever and ever. The bible says the wages of sin is death, not burning forever and ever. And being that the lake of fire is here, if it was burning forever than that means sin still exsists in the fire. There will be no pain, sickness, sadness ect... The teaching of burning in hell forever also came out of the Middle Ages. I pointed this out to a baptist preacher and he said if he didn't teach that no one would come to church. If you go to church just to be saved from hell, you going for the wrong reasons.

let me ask you this: assuming u are correct and if i dont "get saved" i will go to hell for a finite amount of time and then be called into heaven because God is a loving God then explain to me why Christ came down from heaven to lead a sinless life and die on the cross? what purpose did this serve??

A lot is lost over the years that the King James was translated, not many realize this. I use a study bible to first understand, then I read "The Word Of Yahweh" to see how it was originally written.

Unquenchable fire is fire that cannot be put out, but which goes out when it has turned everything to ashes. Jeremiah 17:27 says Jerusalem was to be destroyed with unquenchable fire, and in 2 Chronicles 36:19-21 the Bible says this fire burned the city "to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah" and left it desolate. Yet we know this fire went out, because Jerusalem is not burning today.

To quench means to extinguish or put out. No one will be able to put out the fire of hell. That is the strange fire of God. No one will be able to escape from it by extinguishing it. Isaiah says of that fire, "Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before it" (Isaiah 47:14). After it has accomplished its work of destruction, that fire will go out. No one can deliver themselves from its flame by putting it out, but finally not a coal will be left. Matthew 25:41 speaks of "everlasting fire" for the wicked. Does it go out?


Yes, according to the Bible, it does. We must let the Bible explain itself. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed with everlasting, or eternal, fire (Jude 7), and that fire turned them "into ashes" as a warning to "those that after should live ungodly," 2 Peter 2:6. These cities are not burning today. The fire went out after everything was burned out. Likewise, everlasting fire will go out after it has turned the wicked to ashes (Malachi 4:3). The effects of the fire are everlasting, but not the burning itself.
Matthew 25:46 say the wicked will receive "everlasting punishment"?
Notice the word is punishment, not punishing. Punishing would be continuous, while punishment is one act. The punishment of the wicked is death, and this death is everlasting.
The Bible tells us that "the wages of sin is" not eternal life in hellfire, but "death" (Romans 6:23), the same penalty God assured Adam and Eve would be theirs if they ate the forbidden fruit.

Ezekiel states clearly that "the soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezekiel 18:4), and a plethora of other Bible verses and passages endorse this position. The prophet Malachi wrote that sinners would burn up as "stubble" and would become "ashes under the soles" of the feet of the redeemed (Malachi 4:1, 3). Even the final fate of Satan is explicitly pronounced in Ezekiel 28:18, where the Bible says that the enemy of souls will be reduced to ashes upon the "earth."

Compare that with Psalm 37:10 ("For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be"), Psalm 68:2 ("as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God"), and other similar verses. Soon you get a clear picture that the purpose of the fires of hell is to eradicate sin and to expunge the universe of its awful presence.

Interestingly, it was the devil who was first to suggest that sinners would not die (Genesis 3: 4). A hell where sinners never perish would prove the devil right and would make God, who told Eve she would "surely die" as a result of transgression (Genesis 2:17), a liar. you have to study the bible not just read it. Fact is everything in the bible, the bible itself will answer in another part of the bible.

Im only reborn 1 year as of Easter. Its been a long road, devil hit me hard. The day I brought my first bible home, not 2 hours later I was shocked by lightning and because it locked me up when I got hit I stuck a steak knife right in my arm. The next week my cat was attacked and mauled, nearly died and cost my thousands. Finally the next week, on my birthday, I got into a fight with my wife, went to church alone, came home and she was gone.

Yes sir, it's always good to have fellowship and if we disagree on something then lets just agree to disagree and leave it at that. I know I would be dead right now if he had not saved me. After military I just went down hill from there, hurt alot ppl. Destroyed some lives and just kept getting worse. When I was save from being shot at 3 times I knew I was getting to old to be doing what I was doing. I lost everything, walked away and never looked back but it took along time to forgive myself even though he took me right back. I still struggle with things I done, but I'm still growing in him.

I meet this people all the time. All they need to do is find their faith. Yahweh will take your anger/hurt/anything away that is keeping you living a life of the flesh and guide you to a spiritual life. Once you start living in spirit, things will be clear to you, strength will be given to you. That the devil controls us through our weaknesses, exploits them to keep us from being one with our Savior. Money, power, lust are some of the things the devil uses to keep us in his clutches. Once we learn to be content, that we are not entitled, we start to lead the life that was intended for us before we were already born. Man, his laws and his desire for power is pushing the human race away from religion. This allows the devil here on Earth to strive.

Ever watch the UFC? Jones, Henderson, the great Champions are all powered by God ! Philippians 4:13 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength". Paul spells this out to us in the Bible time and time again. Notice many athletes, power lifters, fighters and others have that tattooed on them or is posted somewhere they train.

Another question what comes to mind is we live in a diverse world with many religions, faiths and each have there own god and all have this special book of choice what they relate to and live their life's around, if there is a god just this ONE creator why is there so many different religions and why don't we all pray to one, the ultimate one?

No offence because I am not trying to give any but all these bible quotes make me go the other way, this is were I struggle with things. They sound so bizarre and like some kind of brain washing technique which all religious books do. Like ive mentioned I am on the fence with all this and all these quotes sound so off the wall to me. How did you get in this state of mind with god? what did you do to find it? Normally nothing would go right for me, nothing. I didnt want to get to deep into but I will since you asked. I prayed a lot. After I hurt my arm I realized I messed up, went back off course, I gave the devil control again, re-opened the door for him to come back in. When he gets a hold of me he makes life bad, this way I go back to my mean, nasty self. Its right there, everyday I battle to keep it surpressed, but by praying, reading my bible and keeping the lords message fresh in my mind....he gives me strength. I can fight it. I dont want to be the old me, but its there waiting. I feel good now, got rid of most of my demons and I want it to stay that way. Life is SO much better this way.

Its hard to understand if you havent read the bible. Its a great story, its an incredible guide on how to live life to its fullest while helping others....making a difference in peoples lives that need help. Im not a reader by any means, but I love reading my bible, its uplifting, inspiring and a road map on how to live a good life. Thats what he intended us to do. Could you imagine if everyone or even almost everyone lived this way? With hope and purpose. If you want to see what life is really like...................just watch the news. We are destroying the planet and our selves
