You are correct however, vascularity, and muscle definition play a role in improved. This usually occurs through lowering body fat. Bulking is very difficult to judge IMO. I can blow myself up just through retaining water.
I actually started on a recomp where I did not lose weight, but lost body fat. This is tricky to have your diet and AAS dialed in. I am now cutting for competition.

She's helped my bench alot.
PS, 270 on bench means your other lifts are frigging insane, good work gallow.

Cut is over, full body session in. Now I have to spend the rest of the day trying not to puke up the 800g of carbohydrate that I have to get down. Just all of the white rice. Probably about the easiest thing to push through for me.

It’s more the fact that de novo lipogenesis isn’t really a thing that happens when you’re in a chronically underfed state, especially after ten days of literally zero carbohydrate and only trace fats.
I’ve done nearly identical cut/refeeds multiple times and had nothing but good results. All of the “carbs make you fat” shit requires chronic overfeeding, and always has. Triglyceride conversion and storage order is fat>>>>>>>carbohydrate>>>>protein (alcohol has no conversion nor storage mechanism).
So essentially it’s 800g of carbohydrate today (400 tomorrow), my usual protein intake, and almost no fat whatsoever for another 48 hours.
