    It's really for your best health to get in the habit of washing your hands when you get there, either using their hand sanitizer (or bring your own) before and after changing equipment and learning to NOT touch your face. This will cut down on being sick a lot.

    I got to the gym the other night for a good leg session plus some strongman implement training yoke walks farmer carries tire flips etc etc. we have 2 squat racks in my gym I walk over to get one, one is taken by a couple young guys doing squats 4 of them working in together, but the second rack is taken up by captain amazing all 55 kg of him in his awesome white tank top doing wait for it doing bicep curls he had 5 kg plates on the bar doing a massive set of 6 and having a 5 min Facebook session between sets. Asked if he was going to be long to which he replied he still had 9 sets to go. Instead of punching him out an throwing him out of the gym which was the first thought I had my training partner turned up and said as clear as day so the idiot could hear " let's leave this idiot to the rack and go do some real training outside " we both had a laugh an went about our business. I didn't think these awesome people existed I had heard the rumors but I had never seen one until the other night

    9 sets? LOL what a moron. I HATE it when I see someone doing FB or texting at the gym especially sitting at a machine or bench. They should make the gym floor a NO cell phone area and if you want to txt, call or internet you have to walk off the workout floor to the lockers, water cooler, front desk area or whatever. New rule???

    Yes. I wish Golds would ban the use of phones. I don't need to hear the guy next to me converse via his Bluetooth earpiece. Especially annoying when I'm on the treadmill.

    I remember when I was new to lifting and I started training in a big powerlifting gym. Nearly all the guys tht trained there were competition lifters I learnt a lot off them. I had my phone on loud and it rang during training and got blasted by the coach and a few lifters. Never had my phone on in the gym ever since haha

    dont hear anything with my headphones on..as long as they dont sit on machines or get in way of equipment a phone conversation wouldnt bother me anyless than any other conversation..headphones fix a lot of gym and actually a lot of annoyances

    You should hang a sign on the squat cages that say something like "Attention idiots: The squat cages are for squatting"

    They should have a rule that if you curl in the squat rack then you are allowed to be slapped very forcefully

    Here is one that pissed me off a couple days ago. So this guy asks me how many sets I have left multiple times while I'm doing dumbell incline bench on this adjustable bench. So I'm irritated and I finish my set. This guy then takes the bench, wheels the bench over to the cable crossover machine, lowers the cable to the floor level and uses the bench to do preacher curls (well sort of) with it. And I'm like "this is what you had to fvcking bother me for?"

    I was rowing once, and was asked how many I had left, there were 2 other stations available! I looked over and said... what about those? He said... you know how it is.. I'm used to this one. Kind of a dick. I normally don't do this... but my response was.... I have 43 sets left. he grunted and walked away.

    I hate it when fvckers stand directly in front of the dumbbell rack and do their workout. Back the Fvck up! I'm trying to walk my 80's back to their resting place and your curling 20lb weights and in my way dooosh bag. Sounds like a beginner mistake, but I see plenty of guys that ought to know better doing this. Only time it's acceptable is when your in front of the heavy dumbbells doing shrugs. Even then if its busy I step back. Whew... I feel a little better now.

    What pisses me off at the Gym.

    1- Phones
    2- headphones so loud, I have to listen to their music
    3- groups in the free weight area talking (usually moms "working out") & no not MILFs
    4- that chick that lifts more than me (but we get along great )

    Seriously, most everythings been mentioned. I do wish when the sign says "please but weights back" people could read!

    I will text if it is important, but only during my one minute rest and never while sitting on a machine. If an important call comes in I answer it and head for the door since I will only talk on the phone outside or in the lobby.

    1) My gym is part of a college. My true HATE is guys that come to train as groups of 4-5. They have no idea what they're doing. They tend to spot bench press with 1 at either end, and 1 at the head. They tend to also struggle benching 90lbs and in 6 months time, they'll still be struggling with no progress.

    2) that guy that likes to utilise 2-3 machines/benches/squat rack at the same time as he is doing a circuit. That's fine normally, but do it in off peak times!

    3) a skinny guy at my gym trains for about 15 minutes, disappears to get his shaker, and then walks around the gym with this shaker that's mostly filled with powder. Like having 10 scoops of protein makes him awesome.

    4) guys that train and complain they eat all day, but aren't getting bigger. I want to smack them over the head with a diet program or a weight gainer!!

    These have probably been said before. But I'm venting my gym rage!

    1 - When people drop their weights on the ground for no reason
    2 - People who do biceps curls while on the sit-down stationary bike
    3 - People that wait 5 minutes between each sets
    4 - People that read a book between sets, this isn't a f*cking library
    5 - People that jack my machine or weights in between my sets while they made eye contact with me while I was doing a set.

    1 and 5 piss me off too. 1 If I'm with someone who does that I make it a point to embarrass them for it. 5 if someone does that ill tell them I'm not finished and then take my time to finish, maybe even throw in extra sets or workouts.

    So many things piss me off at my gym I can seriously go on forever.

    the fat guy in the gym, with a nasty huge beard, that has no muscle tone. sweats uncontrollably but wants to lift heavy wights (without the correct form and NEVER fully extends or drops)and wants to mad mug anyone around. i wanna beat his beard to the back of his head. i have no problem with someone overweight trying to get back at it, after all I was 100lbs heavier a year and a half ago. but to act like your freaking hulk and your more like the michilan man and have TERRIBLE form acting like your a beast makes u deserve a elbow to the forehead.
