Ok, had my ortho appt this morning. Walked in and the doc says "what did you do now." Prick.
Anyway, he pushed and prodded and resistance tested me for a good amount of time. Diagnosis is somewhere between a level 1 and 2 strain. Know that a strain is actually a minor tear.

So, I asked about dry needling and he's all for it. I'm set up for that appt tomorrow. He said I should be able to start eccentric bodyweight movements in about 4 days after getting swelling down. Further he feels I'll heal quick and be back in 2 weeks or so. Yeah me, for once.

Caveat is when at the desk making the PT appt the girl asked for my insurance and DL to make copies. Searched my wallet several times and could not find my DL. WTF. I realized what happened, my pharmacy always puts your DL back in the bag with the scripts. So, you pull out your script bottles and don't think about the DL as it's flat. Seems I threw it away. Searched all my trash by hand (disgusting) to no avail. Gave up and went to DMV and got a new license. Oh well. Least DMV is close and fast.

What sort of kcal are you putting in right now to merit the weight gain? Glad to hear its heading in the right direction

Sounds like it is a workable situation, Kel, which is great. Just out of curiosity, do you think it would have happened if you had greater flexibility in your hams? That is something I f-in struggle with.
The DMV nearest me is hit and miss. Some days it is swamped and nobody is doing much to get people through, on the other hand, when I renewed my DL last week they didn't even check my eyes, LOL,. Just took the pic, laminated and sent me on my way.
Like to hear more about the dry needling after you have time to evaluate the benefits, please.

Stopped by the Dr. office when I got off of work. She wanted to have a quick look at my ears and see how the eye was clearing up. She said it looked better and I should be ready to go back to work in a few days. I must need to work on my poker face, because she looked at me and scolded me for not taking a few days off.
Wasn't a bad visit though, she marked it up as a "no charge" and filled me up a decent sized bag of samples of one of my BP meds and some nasal spray/decongestant for Mrs. AG. Sure we can put it to use at some point.

OK, bedtime for this old fart. Catch up with y'all later on. Think I will be strong enough for legs tonight. Feeling better and I miss my lifting.

Its more related to my lack of appetite due to some recent issues and treatment I've had, appetite is creeping back up and I am feeling better. Got a lot of stuff on over the next 2 weeks so this will be a big move hopefully in the right direction, but honestly I wont be 270+lbs anymore that's toooooo heavy for me now. I'd like to be around 230-240lbs but I will start a come back log soon when I see light

Sounds great mate! I like the 230-240 range as you'll most likely look carved from stone lol keep at it and I'll be making a comeback for myself after I do what's needed for myself and the injuries! Very much looking forward to it though!

Sounds promising Kel! Please let me know how the dry needling goes as TRAZ has told me to ask my ortho about it as well so I am - after your appointment is live to hear about it! Thanks and good luvk with it - and at least you heal fast(couldn't be the GH huh) haha

I looked better and bigger at 245lbs then when i was 270lbs. But for me i need to train extremely intense and pure HIT to gain that kind of size but this will depend on many factors

My guess is it would not have happened. The girl at DMV laughed when I explained what happened and said she's done the same thing and hates that pharmacies put DL's in bags. Oh, and I've dug mine out of the script bag in the trash once before luckily...

Arms - had an extra day off - knee is jacked. Looks like back to the drawing board. Stem cell injection scheduled again in a week ffs.

    Seated DB curls
    1 w/u x 12
    1 feeler x 12
1 w set w/ r/p to hit 13, heavier weight this week, 40s, not been there before, felt good!

    Seated concentration curls
    1 w/u x 12
    1 w set w r/p to 13

    Standing hammer curls
    1 feeler set x 12
    1 w set w/ r/p to hit 11, drops x 2 to complete and utter failure

Halfs and quarters on all. Best pump yet.

    DB kickbacks
    1 w/u x 12
    1 feeler x 12
    1 w set w/ r/p to hit 13

Reverse dip on bench, feet elevated on other bench
    2 w set to 11, 10

    Seated two arm DB extensions
    1 w set w/ r/p to hit 14

Great set, pumped like mad. Not enough time to hit gym so had to make do in the weight room at apts.

Not too bad of a lift considering I'm still a tad out of whack from the inner ear infection. Got dizzy a few times, but I did NOT crap out and crack my skull like I did in May.

    1 set of crunches

Leg extensions- 2 w/u, Work- 34, rest pause, 6+, rest pause, 5+ w/ a 10 count hold on the partial.
    Hack squats- 2 w/u, Work- 12, rest pause, 4
Reverse hacks- Work- 10, rest pause, 3. Held the weight on the rest pause.
    Leg press- 1 w/u, Work1- ( feet wide)- 10, rest pause, 4. Dropped a plate per side. Work2- (feet narrow)- 10, rest pause, 4.
Standing calf raises w/ a double pump @ the top- Work- 12, rest pause, 5, rest pause, 3+.

50 minutes for everything. Would have done a little more, but about halfway in, I started getting a nasty spasm in my lower back on the right side. Took a Voltaren and a half of a Flexeril and will get Mrs. AG to work on it with a baseball and a golf ball in the morning.

Legs do feel as if they were nicely worked.

    What's up fellas/GGR!

Just so you all know I may not be in for a wk or so as I'm putting myself in a rehabilitation center for the DUI and continuous drinking and I go in today so if I'm not online that's the only reason! I'm not afraid to tell you all this as I'm the one doing it for me and since 6months ago I've not had a drink in over 10+yrs but the dui and other things that happened(mainly my anger) I know it's the best decision!
Talk to youse in a few days if not earlier, obviously... but wanted you all to know I'm heading in tonight... so I'll be lurking throughout the day as well

Do great things and I'll be back after my stay regardless of what I can do talk to y'all soon!

Much respect for doing what you need to do for you. Takes a lot of courage to take that first step so strong work. Good luck, man!

Looks like an intense workout! I read that and thought about the pittance I do on leg day and realized how much work I have yet to do. Will squeeze one more w/o in before stem cell in R knee next week because what the hell, right?
    Thanks for posting up!

Always enjoy posting up and conversing with everyone in here, Trail. Really glad you jumped in the thread and hope the stem cell procedure goes well.
I know it's a different procedure, but I've been considering asking my Dr. about platelet rich plasma injections for my shoulder and see if she has an ortho/sports Dr. she prefers. My old ortho was good, but moved to a larger city.

Edit: Your sessions are fine, Trail. It just takes time to build on what you can do, especially when you're dealing with injuries. When I started back, I think I was only doing leg presses, barely repping on hacks, maybe reverse hacks, and some calf work. Now I have a pretty good leg day and a dedicated squat day, which tickles the shit out of me.
Your find the niche that suits you before you know it.

Sunny beaches!!!! Wow! Mrs. AG just finished working on the knotted up muscle by rolling it with a baseball first and then a golf ball. Used a good bit of pressure, but it released. Think I may have too, I am spent.

Bedtime for me. Probably rest tonight and just do some Rumble Rolling on the lower back.
