Bullying in the Name of Social Justice: A Sign of the Times

    COMMENTARY

    By J. Peder Zane

Cyberbullying is always wrong – unless it serves the cause of social justice. Then the victims are simply collateral damage in the long march toward a progressive utopia.

That message, delivered daily by Twitter mobs and public shaming campaigns, was endorsed by the New York Times on Dec. 26 in a long article headlined “A Racial Slur, a Viral Video, and a Reckoning.” The piece demands scrutiny because it reveals how the news organization that corrupted our nation’s history to claim America is irredeemably racist in its “1619 Project” continues to normalize false assumptions and frameworks to advance leftist ideology.

First, the background. The Times article focuses on two high school seniors – Mimi Groves, who is white, and Jimmy Galligan, who has a white father and African American mother – who grew up in the well-to-do Northern Virginia town of Leesburg. Groves thought her years of hard work had paid off last May when she earned a spot on the University of Tennessee’s national champion cheerleading squad.

Her world crumbled a few weeks later when, ironically, she joined the social justice caravan by urging her Instagram followers to “protest, donate, sign a petition, rally, do something” in support of Black Lives Matter following George Floyd’s death.

Groves’ Instagram post infuriated Galligan, who commented: “You have the audacity to post this, after saying the N-word.”

Later that afternoon, the Times reports, “Mr. Galligan, who had waited until Ms. Groves had chosen a college,” posted a three-second video Groves made in 2016, as a 15-year old, upon receiving her learner’s permit. “I can drive, niggah,” she said joyfully into the camera, echoing the idiom of hip-hop culture so familiar to her generation.

A national controversy ensued. The Tennessee cheer squad booted Groves, who subsequently withdrew from the university under mounting pressure. She is now taking remote classes at a community college.

The Times does not tell its readers that this is a textbook case of cyberbullying, which the U.S. government defines as “sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else … causing embarrassment or humiliation.”

While noting in a single sentence that the incident reflects broader efforts of “public shaming” and “cancellation” that can include “harassment,” the paper of record devotes thousands of words to providing misleading context that works to justify the punishment of Groves’ alleged crime. “The story behind the backlash,” reporter Dan Levin writes, “also reveals a more complex portrait of behavior that for generations had gone unchecked in schools in one of the nation’s wealthiest counties, where Black students said they had long been subjected to ridicule.”

The Times’ presents a cherry-picked version of history to depict Leesburg and surrounding Loudoun County – where Democrat Joe Biden won 61% of the vote – as a hotbed of racism, embodied and embraced by the then-15-year-old Groves in her three-second video.

The dishonesty begins with the paper’s headline, which states that Groves used a racial slur. She did not. Merriam-Webster defines a slur as “an insulting or disparaging remark or innuendo.” Groves had no such intent. This is obvious as her video was made in a youthful moment of celebration – “I can drive!” – not racial hatred.

The Times also muddied the waters by refusing to print the offending word, only alluding to her damning language as a “racial slur” and the “N-word.” Nuance matters, so it is essential to note that Groves did not use N-word per se but a softer variant. The African American linguist John McWhorter describes this crucial difference in his 2017 book “Talking Back, Talking Black”: “Nigger is a slur associated with disrespect from whites but nigg-ah [the term Groves used] … is different. Nigga is friendly.”

Both words are ubiquitous in rap music; her use of the benign term reflected the broad reach of this genre. Groves herself told the Times the word was in “all the songs we listened to,” while adding, “I’m not using that as an excuse.”

Granted, this may still offend some people. But it seems cruel and vindictive to attack what was, at worst, an honest mistake by a naïve 15-year-old. Frankly, the larger issue is the bizarre circumstance in which white children are inundated with words they must never repeat but which their African Americans cohorts are allowed to use with impunity. This double-standard may make sense on one level, but it is also Kafkaesque.

Ignoring Groves’ innocent use of the N-word allows the Times to engage in another left-wing trope – the misuse of history – to provide false context aimed at justifying Galligan’s actions and Groves’ fate. The third paragraph of the article is an exercise in tendentious innuendo. It informs readers that Leesburg was “named for an ancestor of the Confederate general Robert E. Lee” without noting that Col. Thomas Lee died in 1750, decades before the Revolutionary War and more than a century before the Civil War. It also states that Loudoun County’s “school system had fought an order to desegregate for more than a decade after the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling.” It does not tell readers that ruling occurred in 1954. Later Levin finds it relevant to report that "slave auctions were once held on the courthouse grounds."

As it did in the “1619 Project,” the Times cynically invokes unmoored pieces of history to paint a false picture of the present. It commits memory malpractice by failing to show that these historical facts influenced Groves’ behavior. For the left, the recitation of past sins is the only evidence required for contemporary indictments.

The Times does report that Loudoun County schools, like those in almost every other system in the nation, are still grappling with racial disparities. However, it ignores African American achievement – 97% of black students in the county graduate from high school, 57% of whom earn “advanced diplomas.”

The Times also fails to mention that just 8% of the district’s students are black, a statistic that is hard to interpret on its own but suggests one reason why some African Americans, according to a 2019 district report, “feel marginalized within the school division and do not feel that they are supported in developing a sense of cultural or academic identity.”

Instead, the paper focuses on its interviews with “current and former students of color [who] described an environment rife with racial insensitivity, including casual uses of slurs.”

A long article detailing how and when such slurs are used in Loudoun County schools would have been illuminating. Ironically, by focusing on Groves’ situation, the Times gives license to those who want to downplay racial issues by relying on an example that can be dismissed as harmless.

In creating the impression that Groves got what was coming to her, the Times reflects two other poisonous aspects of left-wing ideology – the ideas of racial collective guilt and the disposability of individuals in the cause for justice.

For the Times, Groves, like all whites, is inescapably responsible for past, present – and future – racial injustices in Leesburg. The complicating particulars of her case are irrelevant because it can be used to shine a light on larger issues. And even if she is paying an unfair price, well, you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.

This callousness was articulated by one of the 20 comments – out of 1,622 – Times editors chose to highlight in response to the article: “Ms. Groves and her family keep claiming that her life is ruined, but it's not. She's white and her family is well off. She will be fine. She'll go to *gasp" [sic] community college for a year, and then she'll matriculate at some nice school. Hopefully, she learned a little about racism and how harmful racist language can be.”

The tragedy of Mimi Groves is alarming because it reflects the dangerous mindset the radical left that is ascendant in America. The punishment meted out to her by the University of Tennessee and others demonstrates the triumph of ideology over reason and compassion. The efforts by the Times to legitimize these actions provide further proof of how many of our nation’s most influential institutions have embraced bullying as a form of justice.

Fear is the socialist, communist, collectivist left's greatest weapon

By Cheryl K. Chumley - The Washington Times - Thursday, December 31, 2020

    ANALYSIS/OPINION:

    Leftists love fear.

In a choice between persuading by logic and pressuring by fear, leftists will go for fear every time. Why? It’s the go-to motivator for the nonthinking crowd.

It’s the means of moving mountains without having to do all that hard thinking stuff. Or more to point, it’s the means of moving mountains without giving opportunity for the masses to do all that hard thinking stuff. Quick, do as you’re told — no time to think!

So it goes with the coronavirus, and how the Democrats in positions of power across the United States have managed to keep free citizens in shutdown mode — by catering to the nonthinking squawkers who are blown this way and that, all by fear.

So it goes with social media, and how the petulant progressives and whiny snowflakes and secular socialists and all those of that lower-to-zero thinking class ilk have managed to censor conservative speech — by demanding the removal of all countering opinions that might put a dent in their delicate delusions and force a reevaluation that circles back to, once again, that hard thinking stuff.

    It’s all about the fear.

Generate enough fear and there’s no end to what might be accomplished. Changed. Reformed.

    Destroyed.

Leftists use fear to accomplish their political and cultural goals because they themselves are driven to act by fear. They know firsthand the power of fear. They fear countering viewpoints — so they move to shut down countering viewpoints. Want a face to go with that? An image to drive home the point? Jack Dorsey on Twitter suffices. Jack Dorsey on Twitter, and all those suffering tweeting trolls who spend far too much time looking for the next post to hate. To fear. To cry for censor.

Fear makes them run, so they assume fear will make others similarly run.

The whole coronavirus sage, as it continues to unfold, has been fueled by one fearful prediction after another — predictions which have then been cherry-picked by leftist politicians as the means of justifying selective shutdowns, selective closures, selective enforcement of unconstitutional executive orders.

If Americans didn’t fear, there would be no business closures, no school closures, no stay at home orders, right now, circa December 2020. The numbers don’t justify the shutdowns; the science doesn’t show the need for such responses. Those who say they do are being driven by fear, deceived by fear.

It’s fear and fear alone that’s keeping Americans in bondage.

And we have an example of where it all leads: Just as conservatives are increasingly booted from Twitter, from Facebook, from YouTube, from social media, based on the angry fears of an ignorant left that can’t tolerate dissenting opinion — so will go the state of America’s economy, America’s education system, America’s free market and free society and freedoms for individuals in general.

Take a page from rapidly rotting anti-free speech social media and see: leftists don’t voluntarily let go of power. They only dig in deeper. They only grow bolder with each success. Even when outed as lunatic leftists on crazy censorship crusades, they don’t repent. They don’t cede control.

Leftists in political leadership, both now and coming this January, aren’t going to voluntarily let go of power, either. Not with a coronavirus still in town. Nope. They’ll only dig in deeper. They’ll only grow bolder.

They’ll only continue to use fear to curtail individual freedom — specifically, conservative and free market principles — even more. Their end game, of course, is control. Total, top-down, totalitarian control. The worse slap in the face is they’ll demand appreciation for taking away the burden of having to do all that hard thinking stuff to boot.

That’s how socialism, communism, collectivism comes: a cringe of fear at a time.

More than 400 Ex-intelligence Officers to Investigate Election Irregularities

Over 400 people from the Intelligence Community (IC), military, law enforcement, and the judiciary have formed a loose network to investigate irregularities in the 2020 election.

Robert Caron, one of the organizers of this network, began his intelligence career with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He later worked for the Special Situation Group, a task force established by President George H.W. Bush that includes strategic planning, technologies, and foreign and domestic investigations.

He told The Epoch Times that he was recruited to the network in 2014, during which time many in the intelligence community (IC) were seeing an increase in improper operations. Many IC officers were withholding information from their leaders, and their leaders were withholding information from the public. Caron mentioned that in 2014, Lt. General Michael Flynn called out then-President Barack Obama for “not acting properly on intelligence.”

In the same year, Obama fired Flynn over management issues. On Aug. 7, 2014, Flynn left his post as the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and ended his 33 years of an army career. After President Donald Trump pardoned Flynn last month, Flynn said in an interview with The New York Post that he was framed via the Russia-collusion investigation partly because Obama was afraid of Flynn’s ability to expose his corruption.

“President Obama was not acting properly on intelligence that he received concerning Benghazi,” Caron said, referring to an attack of U.S. government facilities in Benghazi, Libya, that resulted in the deaths of several U.S. officials. He said he believes it was then that a lot of people from the intelligence community got together and started recruiting people to join the network.

After numerous reports of irregularities in the 2020 election, the investigation network expanded. Many have focused on investigating the election, according to Caron, who said most are volunteering, while some are getting paid for the inquiry. He said that as far as he knows, the size of the network is “way over 400” and that each member of the network sees obvious election fraud based on their own observations.

Caron said that the network includes former intelligence officers, analysts, operatives, military, law enforcement, and judiciary from the FBI, CIA, Military Intelligence, DIA, and National Security Agency (NSA), among others, as well as many former intelligence officers in other countries.

“The fraud was so massive and so blatant, despite what the mainstream media said, that we need to get this information out to the public,” said Caron. “That’s why more and more people from the intelligence community and law enforcement are coming out, which is unheard of.” (emphasis added)

Caron shared an example of information control by the mainstream media that he witnessed in McAllen, Texas, when Trump visited the border wall there in January 2019.

He said he saw two groups on both sides of the street. A group of about 100 was on one side, and a much larger group was on the other side. “A lot of people, because of what was told in the mainstream media, thought that all the people in the big crowd were the ones against the president. But no, they were the ones that were for the president.”

He said he asked them what they thought and learned that the border wall made their families feel safer, and was told that without the wall, various Mexican criminal organizations would cross the border and force their children to sell drugs.

One of the IC network’s current investigations focuses on foreign interference during the Nov. 3 election, with the Chinese Communist Party being a significant player.

What a Stalin Quote About Rigging Elections Reveals About the 2020 Election

    Daniel Greenfield | January 03, 2021

As Republicans began pushing back against the rigged election, a quote about voting from Joseph Stalin began circulating on social media. "The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything," is how variations of it went.

As soon as the quote went viral, the media’s fact checkers tried to suppress it.

USA Today's fact checker rated it as false, claiming that Stalin had never said it based on speaking with two history professors at Vanderbilt University who vowed that they never heard of it. One of the professors, who serves as the Director of Undergraduate Russian and East European Studies, ranted that it was, "an example of American right-wing paranoia, active manipulation of public opinion, or outright and fascism".

Truly a quote worthy of Stalin.

But had the ‘fact checker’ and the professors just checked Oxford's Essential Quotations, they would have found it. You don’t need a PhD or a fact checker title: just a modicum of integrity.

Politifact was more ambitious about humiliating itself by contacting the Stalin Digital Archive with the Russian State Archive of Social and Political History. The quote wouldn't be there because it comes from Stalin's former secretary, Boris Bazhanov, who fled the USSR and wrote a memoir exposing the crimes and corruption of the Soviet regime. Asking the Russian State Archive for that quote is like asking the cosa nostra to fact check a mafia informant’s recollections.

The men who were party to that conversation were the ‘Troika’ of Central Committee leaders, Kamenev, Zinoviev, and Stalin, who temporarily governed the USSR after Lenin. Since Stalin had Kamenev and Zinoviev killed, his secretary was one of the few to hear him say it.

There is of course a very good reason for suppressing the Stalin quote because it does apply all too well to the election. And there’s a profound sense of history repeating itself in the media trying to suppress a Stalin quote about using the media to suppress an election.

Because that is exactly what Stalin did.

Boris Bazhanov had worked as Stalin's private secretary and, unlike most of the murderous Communist dictator's associates, survived by escaping before he could be killed. Still a young man in his twenties, Bazhanov had seen too much and enough to know what was coming. On New Year’s Day, he fled across the border from Turkmenistan to Persia, then through India, surviving several assassination attempts along the way, before finding refuge in France.

Bazhanov's memoir about his time with Stalin had several titles, it's named Bazhanov and the Damnation of Stalin in English, but all of the versions lay out the damning story of how Stalin took over the Soviet Union by manipulating the system and ruthlessly purging his rivals.

What’s more remarkable than the quote related in Bazhanov’s memoir is its context.

The Soviet Union had arrived at a crucial moment. Communist economics had managed to fail in a matter of years. The Troika were overseeing a collapsing economy that had married socialism to the Czarist bureaucracy and its police state with terrible results leading to a surge of discontent from local labor and political organizations against Moscow’s centralized control.

If the Troika didn’t get the peasants and workers under control, the regime of the peasants and workers would be in trouble. The three members of the Troika met to discuss the crisis and the possibility that they could be ousted by their own membership if the uprising gained momentum.

"And you, Comrade Stalin, what do you think of this question?" Kamenev asked Stalin.

"What," Stalin replied, "of what question?"

"Of the question of capturing the majority of the Party," Kamanev said.

"Do you know what I think about this?" Stalin replied, "I believe that who and how people in the Party vote, is unimportant. What is extremely important is who counts the votes, and how they are recorded."

The quote, despite the attempts to suppress it with Stalinists fact checking Stalinism, is indeed real. But what’s more important is what Bazhanov relates happened after this conversation.

Before this, Bazhanov recalled that, “in most of the Party organizations the majority was not for the Central Committee. I know that in the huge cell of the Central Committee itself, the majority voted against the Central Committee… the Central Committee had lost the majority in the Party organization of the capital city, the most important in the country. The provincial organizations were falling into line with the Moscow one."

Stalin's response was to take control of Pravda and fake the results of the votes.

"If a certain cell had 300 votes for the Central Committee and 600 against," then Pravda flipped the voting totals so that they read, "For the Central Committee 600, against 300."

I’ll let Bazhanov tell the rest of the story without any more interruptions.

“Naturally, a cell whose election results were erroneously reported protested, phoning Pravda and asking for the section ‘Party Life.’ Nazaretian would politely respond and promise to verify immediately. The verification would show that ‘you are perfectly right, there was a regrettable error, the printers made the mistake. They're overworked, you know. The Pravda editors apologize. We will print a retraction.’ Each cell thought that its error was unique, for that cell alone, and was unaware that it had happened to most of them. Meanwhile, little by little the impression went around that the Central Committee was winning all along the line. The provinces became more prudent and began to follow Moscow, i.e., the Central Committee.”

Much like all the clerical errors and bad polls that began piling up during the 2020 election.

What Stalin meant was that the actual vote didn’t matter, when controlling the news also gave him control of how the election was reported. The actual votes could be tallied somewhere out there, but Pravda would report that there was a consensus in favor of the Central Committee.

Pravda would even pretend to be transparent by printing occasional corrections to create the impression that it was trustworthy, while the big lie of the election rolled on. That’s where the Soviet Pravda was ahead of the American Pravda which rarely even bothers with corrections.

When Stalin said, “who and how people in the Party vote, is unimportant,” but “what is extremely important is who counts the votes, and how they are recorded”, he was referring to the media.

Some might call it a historical irony or tragedy for a leftist media to try and suppress a quote whose import was that a leftist media can manufacture an election consensus by printing lies.

    But it’s just destiny.

Stalin understood that elections without safeguards were merely procedural. The results of the election didn’t matter. All that mattered was what people believed because they had read it.

The New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, CNN, and the rest of the tottering infrastructure of the media exist to manufacture partisan narratives to secure political power. Like their Stalinist counterparts, they invert the meaning of terms so that ‘fact checking’ becomes suppressing facts, and the more they lie, the more they claim to stand for the truth.

    But, Pravda was there first.

The 2020 election was rigged in multiple ways, but the most obvious one was messaging.

Big Tech monopolies and the media collaborated to spread Democrat narratives and suppress Republican ones. In the crucial pre-election period, the media’s lies, smears, and hit pieces against President Trump and Republicans became the only thing most people saw anymore. Scandals involving Hunter Biden were suppressed, ironically, as Russian disinformation, while the media shamelessly propagandized for Biden the way that Pravda had for Stalin.

The media was instrumental in claiming victory for Biden and in helping Democrat governors and secretaries of state orchestrate the illegal election rigging that changed election rules.

The trouble with the Pravda approach is that it only works for a limited amount of time. Stalin only needed it to work for a brief period until he had consolidated his power over the system. Pravda’s credibility only needed to last long enough for Stalin to be able to freely kill his rivals.

America’s Pravda has shot its credibility. Every time public trust in the media hits a new low, the media doubles down on the propaganda, the smears and the lies. In under a generation, the media has destroyed its business model and the credibility that it took centuries to build.

Now it whines about “right-wing echo chambers” and demands harsher social media censorship when it’s nothing more than a left-wing echo chamber trying to wipe out the opposition.

If the media knew anything about history, it would not only have been able to verify the Stalin quote, but it would also know that what it’s doing is a bad idea that can only end badly. .

Nazaretian, who had been assigned the task of doing Stalin's dirty work, rigging the election at Pravda, was killed along with the two members of the Troika, and much of the old Bolshevik establishment in The Great Purge, for being a propagandist who knew too much.

The media might want to learn a lesson from Nazaretian’s example as they lie for their radicals.

Another one from Daniel Greenfield, also known by his blogger's Nom de Guerre, Sultan Knish:

Frontpage Person of the Year: The Disenfranchised American Voter

The elites can steal an election. But they can’t steal a movement.

Tue Dec 29, 2020 Daniel Greenfield

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

When the Constitution formed this nation, we were a country of around 4 million. But in 2020 at least 74 million Americans have had their votes tossed in the trash along with the Constitution.

More Americans had their votes discarded, stolen, nullified, corrupted, and obstructed in this election than existed in the entire United States when it fought for its independence from monarchy and tyranny, when it brought into being a “more perfect union”, when it expanded westward, and when brother against brother fought in a civil war to preserve that union.

There were more Americans who voted for President Trump than were living in the United States in 1890. The entire nation, as it was in 1890, had its vote usurped by a corrupt oligarchy.

While the battles go on across cable news and social media, these are the forgotten men.

They were the forgotten men and women who rallied to Reagan and to Trump, falling behind in a nation whose elites can’t wait to leave 1787 and 1890, along with old mill towns, steel plants that made a nation’s skyscrapers, rusting factories that once supplied her people, port cities on whose ships cargoes once flowed to the world that are now filled with Made in China junk ships.

They are the coal miners who were told to learn to code, managers dragged into unconscious bias training before being fired anyway, carpenters sidelined by illegal aliens, police officers beaten by grad students chanting Black Lives Matter, IT men whose jobs were offshored, women who were called ‘Karens’ for calling 911 after being attacked in a mall parking lot.

2020 was not just another election. 2016 was an uprising by the nation’s forgotten men and women. In 2020, the empire struck back, outspending the forgotten men, rigging races with ballot harvesting, bypassing legislatures, stealing votes, and then laughing in their faces.

    That was a mistake.

It’s the same mistake that was made in Iran, in Venezuela, in Russia, in China, and in countless totalitarian nations that built mass movements out of stolen elections and brutal crackdowns.

Elections can be stolen, but when an election is also an uprising, then the movement grows.

The real question on the ballot in 2016 and in 2020 was who was running the country. The two wealthiest counties in the country, Loudoun County and Falls Church City, are D.C. bedroom communities. Nine of the twenty wealthiest counties in America are D.C. suburbs.

We are indeed a nation of ‘Two Americas’ as Senator John Edwards declared at the Democratic National Convention, and there’s no better proof than Edwards who escaped 30 years in prison after being tried for misusing $725,000 in campaign contributions from a Gillette heiress to hide his affair while his wife was dying of cancer, and relaunched his career as an ambulance chaser, suing the Raleigh police because an officer shot a crazy Iranian man brandishing a knife.

One America voted in 2020. The other ‘America’, call it Un-America, stole the election.

One America raises up statues to the Founding Fathers, while the other America tears them down. One America prays, the other mocks. One America fights, the other betrays. One America works for a living, the other takes its earnings. One America votes, the other steals.

The forgotten America of that seventy million plus does not appear in polls. Products are not pitched to it. Movies and TV shows are not made for its tastes. Its men and women won’t be hired by the oligarchic companies consolidating control over the economy and the country.

The cultural products of the oligarchy tell them that they’re the past and headed for the landfills alongside the statues of Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln. Along with the Constitution.

But what every tyranny forgets is that the past is also the future.

“Suppose the Colonies do abound in men,” the head of the British Navy had boasted during the American Revolution, “what does that signify? They are raw, undisciplined, cowardly men. I wish instead of forty or fifty thousand of these brave fellows they would produce in the field at least two hundred thousand; the more the better, the easier would be the conquest; if they did not run away, they would starve themselves into compliance with our measures."

That earl had made a very bad mistake and, as Patrick Henry once declared, his successors in Loudoun County and the government counties of Washington D.C. may profit by his example.

2016 was an uprising and so was 2020. Not every battle was won in the Revolutionary War, but every battle forged the spirit and steel of those forgotten men whose voices did not count three thousand miles away in London, and now those forgotten men in the rural and working class counties whose voices do not count thousand of miles away in Washington D.C.

Whatever comes of the election, whether right or might win this time, they are a movement.

And that movement has only begun to fight.

The disenfranchised American voter is not going away. He will not be silenced. No amount of media pressure is going to convince him to accept the unacceptable or disbelieve the evidence of his own senses. He knows that this is more than a theft of one election, but the ongoing denial of his right to have a future in a nation whose leaders insist that his kind should not exist.

The forgotten men and women do not forget. They did not come into being in 2016 and they will not vanish in 2020. All that the theft of 2020 did was add momentum to their grievance.

The disenfranchised American voter is the faceless face of a growing movement.

It is the movement whose battles against the leftist oligarchy, the political leviathan of the Left, David Horowitz and the David Horowitz Freedom Center have been fighting since the beginning. But never before has that movement been so vast, encompassing over seventy million Americans who are determined not to let the Left forget them and drive past them to power.

The Left built a messaging machine meant to make these men and women feel small, irrelevant, ashamed, and weak. Instead their numbers have grown more than ever before.

The silent majority is no longer silent. It is stepping out of the shadows and making its stand.

Its members will not accept this theft or take their places at the back of the bus. They will not turn over the country to those who have nothing but contempt for it and for them, or be shamed for refusing to let thieves scold them about election integrity. They have learned to laugh at the hectoring lectures about decency and the references to the Constitution from the radicals toppling the statues of the men who labored over the Constitution and fought to defend it.

Power does not, as Mao once said, come from the barrel of a gun. Nor does it come from documents, agencies, and elections. These are only the means by which power is channeled.

The only true form of power comes from consent. Men may give up their consent to tyrants, but America is a nation of free men and women who do not give consent, but take it through elections. When that consent appears to be taken from them by force, they will still not give it.

And it is that consent, the acceptance of the situation, which though intangible is the force that moves nations, forms societies, and serves as the true basis for all power. The voters who went to the polls, even though the media told them it was hopeless, held on to that power. And they held on to it when they ignored the media’s propaganda after the election. They still hold it.

In a free nation, casting votes determines elections and the leadership of the country. But in every nation, the conviction of the people, their willingness to resist the propaganda, is their power. Over 70 million Americans, the forgotten men and women of the nation, wielded their power and they refuse to give it up no matter how often they are told that they are wrong.

That is why the disenfranchised American voter is the Freedom Center’s person of the year.

In a disgraceful year, the disenfranchised voter took a stand and held it in the face of the elites who believe that by stealing his vote, they can also take his power. Every day, every week, and every month that goes by, the disenfranchised voter reminds them that they are wrong.

The elites can steal an election. But they can’t steal a movement.

Murder Surged in Democrat-Controlled Cities During 2020

Murder surged in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, New Orleans, and numerous other Democrat-controlled cities during 2020.

The murder surge was great enough that columnist Byron York observed 2020 was possibly “the worst one year increase in murder ever recorded.”

For example, as of December 20, 2020, the Atlanta Police Department indicated there had been 154 murders in Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ (D) Atlanta, up from 95 in 2019.

And there were 768 killed in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago January 1, 2020, through December 27, 2020, according to the Chicago Tribune. For comparison, the Chicago Police Department noted 491 homicides in the city during 2019.

The Dallas Police Department noted as of December 29, 2020, there had been 262 murders in Mayor Eric Johnson’s (D) Dallas. There were 211 murders in the city during all of 2019.

As of December 31, 2020, the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department listed 174 murders in Mayor Quinton Lucas’ (D) Kansas City for 2020, which is up from 151 in 2019.

The New Orleans city government indicates there were 185 homicides in Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s (D) New Orleans January 1, 2020, through December 30, 2020, an increase of 61 of over the 124 witnessed in 2019.

And Washington, DC’s Metropolitan Police Department shows 198 homicides in Mayor Muriel Bowser’s (D) D.C. for 2020, up from 166 in 2019.

On December 29, 2020, Crimealytics’ Jeff Asher reported similar surges in murder in Democrat-controlled cities such as Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Oakland, St. Louis, and Philadelphia, among others:

On June 29, 2020, Breitbart News reported that the Washington Post tried to undermine President Trump’s claim that the “20 most violent cities are Democrat-run.” Through tireless research the Post was able to show only 17 of the top 20 most violent cities in the U.S. had Democrat mayors.

How's that demoncrat-ruled Utopia working out for you?

The murder rate in Mayor Lyda Krewson’s (D) St. Louis soared to its highest level in 50 years during 2020.

On September 21, 2020, Breitbart News noted that murder was surging to record levels in St. Louis. At that time the St. Louis Post-Dispatch quoted Lt. Scott Aubuchon, head of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police’s homicide unit, saying, “Since June 1, our numbers began to rise at the alarming rate. We’ve never seen anything like the last three months. These are indescribable times.”

The Associated Press that [sic] the rate reached 87 persons per 100,000 in 2020, the highest rate since 1970.

At least 27 people were shot, four fatally, over a violent New Year’s weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

Breitbart News noted that over 4,100 people were shot in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago in 2020, and that figure included fatal and non-fatal victims combined.

demoncrats Prefer Intimidation, Rather Than Validation of the Election Results

ANTIFA thugs showed up at the house of Sen. Josh Hawley last night, terrorizing his wife and newborn.

By Al Perrotta Published on January 5, 2021

Last Wednesday, inventor Jovan Hunter Pulitzer proved during a hearing in Georgia how easy it was to hack into Dominion’s voting machines. He was also given permission by the Georgia Senate Judiciary Committee to run a test in Fulton County that he says will easily separate legitimate ballots from fraudulent ballots.

Within days, somebody shot up the home of one of his team members.

Surely, it is mere coincidence. Just like it is mere coincidence that Biden saw a ridiculous voter spike in Georgia after GOP and media were told to go home. Coincidence that the same Fulton County officials who sent them home lied about a water main break.

Coincidence that the Washington Post and CNN redacted the names of two Fulton County officials most tied to irregularities from their hit piece on Trump’s weekend phone call with Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. Coincidence that Fulton County officials, including Ralph Jones, kept changing how many absentee ballots were outstanding.

    Not a Coincidence
No, it is not a coincidence one of Pulitzer’s team was the victim of a drive-by shooting. Intimidation has been part of the Democrat’s election strategy from the beginning. That’s why Biden-Harris were bailing out rioters, refusing to condemn ANTIFA and BLM, Inc. violence, and saying the “chaos” would end if you just voted Democrat. That is why Democratic cities boarded up before the election. Their message: “Elect Trump and your cities will burn.”

That’s why someone opened fire on Trump supporters in South Carolina, including children. And another drove through a Republican voter registration tent. It’s why black Trump supporter Bernell Trammell was assassinated on the streets of Milwaukee.

Those was real attacks on democracy. And not a peep from those who claim challenging the election results using all the tools of the law and Constitution is an “attack on democracy.”

    Intimidation is Their Tradecraft
Intimidation is the key to their tradecraft. Take just a smattering of examples since the election.

Intimidation: Just last night, ANTIFA thugs terrorized the wife and newborn of Sen. Josh Hawley, the first Senator who pledged to object to certifying Electoral College results Wednesday.

Intimidation: Two Fulton County whistleblowers fired as election workers after coming forward and detailing the election irregularities they had seen.

Intimidation: Michigan Democratic lawmaker calling for “her soldiers” to go after whistleblowers and “make them pay.”
Please Support The Stream: Equipping Christians to Think Clearly About the Political, Economic and Moral Issues of Our Day.

Intimidation: Michigan’s Attorney General threatening to criminally prosecute those who file lawsuits challenging the election. (Oh, she’s hiding behind the term “false claim,” but as we all know “false claim” — like “misinformation” — is defined as “anything we say it is.”)

Intimidation: Dominion threatening to sue Sidney Powell and news outlets questioning the role their machines may have had in fixing the vote. (But not suing the federal judge in Georgia who warned how susceptible those machines were to manipulation. Or suing Democratic Senators like Amy Kobuchar and Elizabeth Warren who had all sorts of issues with Dominion in 2019.)

And They’re Really Good at Intimidation
Intimidation: Florida Democrat filed a petition to disbar Trump advocate Rep. Matt Gaetz.

Intimidation: Richard Hopkins being harassed, threatened and suspended after testifying he’d been asked to backdate ballots. After threats from federal investigators, Hopkins reportedly recanted. But he quickly insisted his original account was true. (His statement is also consistent with witness Ethan Pease’s testimony about orders to backdate ballots in Wisconsin. And the testimony of Jessy Jacob in Michigan. She says she was threatened after refusing to backdate ballots.)

Intimidation: Melissa Carone being mocked and humiliated on Saturday Night Live. Oh, for the good old days when comedians mocked the powerful rather than do their bidding.

Intimidation: Big Tech banning, blocking, suspending the accounts and posts of those who do not submit. “Wanna keep seeing pictures of your nephews and nieces on Facebook? Then keep your mouth shut about election fraud.”

Come forward, doing your duty as a citizen, and say you saw election misdeeds and you will face public ridicule, lose your job, lose your money, perhaps lose your life. But trust us, the election was clean. The Mafia never had it so good.

    To What End?
To what end? Why intimidation instead of verification? There’s only one reason for such wall-to-wall efforts at intimidation. Only one reason to put bullets through a daughter’s window.

To stop the truth from being discovered. To gain power.

To gain power by any means necessary.

So, for no other reason but to spit in the face of such despicable intimidation tactics, the fight for election integrity must not — cannot — stop.

If only because of the shattered windows, shattered laws and shattered lives we must march on.

If only for freedom’s sake. We must choose truth over intimidation.

7 Things demoncrats Want to Take Away from You – And 1 Thing ‘They Don’t Want You to Say’

    By Craig Bannister | January 5, 2021 | 11:23am EST

On Monday, Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan warned Americans of the things Democrats seek to take from them, plus one speech restriction that they want to impose.

Rep. Jordan tweeted a list of seven things Democrats want to take away from citizens:

    Guns
    Police
    Private health insurance
    Hard earned money
    Plastic straws
    Thanksgiving
    Christmas

While Democrats’ agenda items have included such measures as increased gun control, defunding the police, single-payer health care, higher taxes and environmental restrictions on products, there’s a new item, Jordan says – the elimination of gender-specific pronouns:

“And now? They don’t want you to say or use the words ‘mother,’ ‘father,’ ‘son,’ or daughter.’”

On Monday, the Democrat-controlled House approved new rules, which "Changes pronouns and familial relationships in the House rules to be gender neutral or removes references to gender.” The office of the Omsbudsman, for example, will be changed to the gender-neutral office of "Ombuds."

Campaign staffers say Raphael Warnock wants to defund the police in Project Veritas sting

No election would be complete without a Project Veritas undercover expose of campaign staffers saying things in private that they would never say in public, and that includes the Georgia Senate runoff.

Project Veritas released Monday undercover recordings showing two people identified as campaign finance aides for Democrat Raphael Warnock offering assurances that the candidate is more leftist than he lets on when it comes to defunding the police.

“So, he avoids using ‘defunding the police’ because he knows that the Republicans are going to try to grab onto it and attack, right?” says a man identified as a Warnock finance assistant. “But in reality, his whole platform with police reform is along the lines of the same people who are saying ‘defund the police.’”

Mr. Warnock, who’s challenging Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler in the Jan. 5 runoff, has repeatedly said that he opposes defunding the police but does want to hold law enforcement accountable.

A woman identified as the Warnock campaign’s director of small business engagement said on a phone call with a Project Veritas investigator that Mr. Warnock was “very progressive” and “pro-police reform, absolutely, 100% without a doubt.”

Asked if he was “on our side when it comes to defunding these suckers in blue, these police,” the woman replied, “Absolutely! Absolutely!”

    Project Veritas video here.

Project Veritas, which said it spent months inside the Warnock campaign, identified the staffers by name. The Washington Times has not independently confirmed their identities, and has reached out to the Warnock campaign for comment.

The female staffer, who is Black, also offered insights into what goes behind the scenes with get-out-the-vote efforts, saying that Black voters must be contacted at least nine times to get them to cast ballots.

“We have to touch Black voters a minimum of nine times to remind them to go vote. A minimum,” she said. “So that’s why everybody’s inundated with text messages and phone calls.”

She discussed how Democrats advocating for police reform have been “looking at creative ways to police the community so that implicit bias is not used,” but also spoke frankly about Black-on-Black crime, a topic that Democrats are typically careful to avoid in public.

“There is a lot of crime going on in the city of Atlanta by Black people against Black people. There are Black people killing each other inside the city of Atlanta,” she said.

She said that “Black people want something done about crime in Atlanta.”

“Right now we’ve got people shooting children that are sitting in cars at Lenox mall. Black people did that, it wasn’t white people,” she said.

She referred to the Dec. 21 death of seven-year-old Kennedy Maxie, who was hit by a stray bullet while Christmas shopping with her family at the upscale Phipps Plaza mall in Atlanta.

Police issued arrest warrants Dec. 29 for 24-year-old Daquan Reed, saying he fired three shots out his car window after getting into an argument in the mall parking lot outside Saks Fifth Avenue, according to 11Alive in Atlanta.

“That had nothing to do with racism. There was no white person involved,” said the woman identified as the Warnock staffer on the Project Veritas video.

At the same time, she was clearly leery of law enforcement. “We know police officers are not all good, you know what I’m saying? Most of them are bad. We know that.”

The video was released the day before the double Georgia Senate runoff, which also pits Republican Sen. David Perdue against Democrat Jon Ossoff, an election that will determine control of the Senate.

So he openly says he doesn't want to defund the police but...
Right wing propaganda says he's lying...

Guess I know what you believe.

Is there anything he could say or do to make you believe him?
Perhaps he could say he is for defunding the police??
Would you then think he is for more funding for the police?

    Is that how it works??

    No ain't that some shit.

Delta Force Raids Biden Compound in Ukraine

The 1878 Posse Comitatus act forbids the use of the US military in a law enforcement role, which means this raid must have been provoked by (at the very least) national security concerns and possibly actions against foreign powers interfering in US elections.

Trump then ordered Rosen to draft a formal accusation charging Raffensperger with several high crimes and misdemeanors, including seditious behavior, treason, fraud, and malingering in times of national peril. Trump said he was reluctant to indict fellow Republicans, but he had no choice because subversive Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) had infiltrated the party’s core. Trump sees himself as the savior of the Republican party, our source said.

Cuz, I was just adding to the list Beetle posted. I don’t take any of his posts seriously or to heart because he is simply making an observation on how the media affects America.

Of course gas is a good thing, as is coal, that is until you can come up with something better. If so, why not change imo. And regarding cleaner, why is that necessarily a bad thing?

Regarding Easter, I was referring to family or social gatherings that at least in our town, are currently crushing our healthcare system because of the numbers.

And regarding healthcare for all, it sounds like a noble thing, heck a Christian thing (yes, I’m Christian). Of course it’s not practical economically & until it is, I too am totally against it.

Peace. And the way today is going, that is going to be particularly critical.

    Cuz...

    In all seriousness...

If BLM stormed the capitol building the police wouldn't have been so damn friendly...

    If you can remember...
Trump gassed protestors simply so he could pose with a Bible.

So don't even attempt to play the victim...
These Trumpees have been treated ratherly kindly considering they've stormed a federal building where the VP and the entire congress were residing.
If it were BLM or Antifa there would've been a much more extreme response from the police.

Conservatives never do shit, you know why? Because most of us work everyday and have other shit to do than go protest and hold a sign lol
Again, I mean no disrespect i just want an answer
What change are the Trumpers asking for?
They are asking to overthrow Democracy simply because they lost an election.

They love America so much that they want to overthrow it and install a Dictator.
    Seriously.

The national guard is there because the mayor asked for it.
    Her choice.
I believe she is trying to protect the American democratic state.

    BLM wasn't threatening the democracy.

    Did rioters cause harm?
    Yes they did.
    Arrest them.
I in no way support rioting.
Just like these criminals in DC should be arrested.

But it seems like you are fine with these Trumpers storming the capitol.

    So I ask you...
Do you think BLM would've been handled so nicely by the Capitol Police?

The police more or less stood by and let blm destroy several cities. Night after night, place after place. So Don't act like they didn't get coddled, and funded by political parties, for political reasons. Because they did. Fuck, the vice presidential nominee advertised funding projects to protect them and bail them out. And they didn't fund them because they believed in whatever cause they presumed to be operating under. It was purely political. So get real.

The Trumper people believe the election was stolen.

As a neutral observer, I can say this much in honesty: I personally don't know of any specifics in their case for fraud. But I don't believe for one fucking millisecond that joe biden got over 80 million votes. Running for the third time, with absolutely no real on the ground support to speak of.

Refusing to admit that something seems fishy, and allowing inquiries is the real threat to democracy. Especially after spending four years investigating one dead end after another every time the guy farted or belched, or a new rumor started,, they crawled up his ass with a microscope.

But now, suddenly, there's no more need for inquiries into corruption of the biden family or the oddities of an election?

Give me a fucking break. The capitol police allowed them to paint black lives matter on the mfn concrete right outside the white house.

Really bro. Get real with the "threat to democracy stuff "

I’m sure you know better about election fraud than the republican officials who officiated said elections. Do you know how ridiculous you sound? No logic. Let people do their job. The courts decided there was no widespread fraud. Biden got the votes because Trump is a horrible president. There is no mystery. It’s very simple.

Please explain. It was purely political. So get real.

The Trumper people believe the election was stolen. Because of Trump's lies. Fuck, he claimed there was fraud months before the elections even happened.

As a neutral observer, I can say this much in honesty: I personally don't know of any specifics in their case for fraud. But I don't believe for one fucking millisecond that joe biden got over 80 million votes. Running for the third time, with absolutely no real on the ground support to speak of. Biden got about 40 million votes. The other 40 million were people voting against Trump. Just like Trump got people voting for him solely because they were voting against Hillary.

Refusing to admit that something seems fishy, and allowing inquiries is the real threat to democracy. The election has been investigated by the DHS, the CIA, the FBI, and the courts. AG Barr even said it was legit. There have been counts, recounts, and audits. Whatmore do you want? Especially after spending four years investigating one dead end after another every time the guy farted or belched, or a new rumor started,, they crawled up his ass with a microscope. Wait until he is no longer President.

But now, suddenly, there's no more need for inquiries into corruption of the biden family or the oddities of an election? Biden's son is currently under investigation!!!And AG Barr said there was no need for a special counsel. What more do you want? I addressed the "oddities" of the election previously.

    Give me a fucking break.

I ask you just like I asked before...

Do you seriously think if any other group stormed the Capitol building when the VP and all of Congress was there that they would've been treated so kindly?

    So give me a break...
Trump claimed months before the election that the only way he could lose was if there was fraud.
He had months to prepare every agency at his disposal to watch over the election.
Every single agency involved found no fraud.
    He lost 62 court cases.

And still his people storm the capitol building with the VP and the congress inside.

From what I have seen BLM might as well be wearing crowns bc they are treated like kings and queens. Ive seen police officers spit on , hit with bricks, molotav cocktails you name it. Im sure “some” arrests were made i mean im not gonna sit here and argue with you about i know, BLM deserves free money and donations...and continuous stimulus checks too

Is that what you call “democracy”

I would gladly live in a conservative/liberal divided America were there a civil war. Its not the first time the capitol was stormed and it wont be the last

You’d gladly live in a country where the leader tells you reality and votes don’t matter. There are already countries with that ideology, go there. And you call me the idiot, lmao.

Is that what you call “democracy” No I wouldn't. And I wouldn't vote for it. Just because Kamala is black doesn't mean BLM is taking over America.

    Cuz,

    With all due respect...

There isn't just two types of people...
    Republicans and BLM.

    BLM is very small.
Probably smaller than the white supremascist movement in America.

I realize that you think all Demoncrats (as you say) are BLM but you are wrong.

I realize that all Republicans aren't Qanons or Trumpers or alt-right.

Yeah sure. "Orange man bad" "nothing to see here"

"Justice system isn't for sale" (sarcasm) its all good.

I think if "white supremacist " stormed any federal building, they'd be shot down in the street like dogs and idiots would cheer.

Especially since they think, like the rest of you stupid leftists that the degradation of cities they don't live in, and the failing test scores in schools they don't attend, along with the poorly mismanaged states they don't run, are all because of "white supremacists" and the failures are not at all due to the actions of the people in charge.

And the white working class, whose wages have seen a stagnation for the past 30 years, and are the only ethnic group in America with a dwindling population and declining life expectancy are somehow possessing a privilege, thats a threat to everyone else.

I think you're smarter than that. I think you know that's ridiculous horseshit propagated by a corrupt establishment to hide the fact they've fucked over all of us. Easier to blame some bullshit racism than admit the fact they're incompetent and corrupt.

I respect you and appreciate all the gear advice you've given me. I'm grateful. I hope this exchange leaves no hard feelings. Sorry if I offended you.

I don't want to go any further here.

I'm out of this thread. I'll leave it there.

    Cuz...

I am not trying to get the last word.
Just trying to apologize if it is needed...

    I said...

    "BLM is very small.
Probably smaller than the white supremascist movement in America."

If you took that as me calling you a white supremacist than I am sorry.

What I was doing is making a point.
America is not being overrun by BLM.

There are far more whites in America than blacks.
If 5% of the whites are white supremascists and 10% of the blacks are BLM then there would be far more white supremascists than BLM.
(I am not saying those are the actual numbers. Just saying the BLM members aren't as large as the media may make it seem.)

I purposely said "I realize that all Republicans aren't Qanons or Trumpers or alt-right."

white supremascists are a subset of alt-right

Now you do call Democrats "demonrats".
Using that term will make people think you you are a Qtip believer. (since Qtip says Democrats are Satanic baby fucking AND eating world rulers.)

I am not calling you a Qanon believer.
Just letting you know that you speak like one.

    from post #1232 above...

I realize that all Republicans aren't Qanons or Trumpers or alt-right.

You seem overly fixated on the white supremascist thing...

    I'm white.
    I don't hate white people.

I hate any group that claims superiority to other people.

    I disagree with...
any Muslim who thinks all Jews should die...
any Christian who thinks all Muslims should die...
any Black who thinks Texas should be gifted to them...
any White who thinks my Jewish kids should die...

    All men are created equal.

    I believe rascism exists.
I've seen it with my own eyes.

    I believe religionism exists.
I've seen it with my own eyes.

I believe sexism (is that even a word?) exists.
I've seen it with my own eyes.

I think many people claim superiority simply out of fear or insecurity.

I am not the smartest, or strongest, or best looking, or have the biggest cock.
If I was... I wouldn't need to hlod it above others and flaunt it.

    As Jesus said...
    Don't unto others...
