Nice man.
My strength is crappy right now. I carbed up last Saturday, which really helped me in the gym Mon and Tues, but I'm flat as hell again. Weighed 209lbs today. I was 233lbs Sunday morning after the carb up.
I'm just maintaining right now. Trying to decide how to approach this next comp in November. I'm in the high 7%bf right now, so I'm a little early. Working with my trainer/coach right now to figure out the best way to approach the next 3 months. Also working with a couple competitors/friends on the board to figure out what I'm going to do. Trying to decide with A) Doing a heavy dosed 4 week bulk cycle, then cut for comp.... or B) Eat a little above maintainence with continued cardio on a very heavy cycle for the next 12 weeks.
All my gear is "in the wind" as it were, so not much I can do till it comes in anyway besides maintain.

When you carb up, how many carbs and cals do you have for that day? I am around 400 over cutting cals(2,995) and about 480g carbs, 210g protein and 51g fat. Does that sound alright for a carb up day?
I am taking in 215g e/d, that's why I was debating having one or not...and plus my strength is really good!

If you're feeling full, and not losing any strength, you really don't "need" to carb up. If you do it just for a change of pace, it'll help as long as you don't go nuts. haha. Try to keep your kcals right around maintainence when you do, and limit as much fat as you possibly can. Protein is something I wouldn't be too concerned about. 150-200g would be fine. Hell, you could even go a little lower. Just be sure to drink plenty of water and avoid fat at all costs. The cleanest way to do it is with a yams. I probably had 700g on Saturday. It was great. Oats, yams, hashbrowns, protein pancakes, and my personal favorite, fat free granola bars. mmmmm.
