Well I just finished my 10 week cycle and I didn't drink once so it probably was before then or just before I forget. I drank I think after my prohormone cycle during PCT maybe sometime I forget when though

    yeah that sounds right.

hey, if i want to increase my reps of wide-grip pullups, should i do them every day or just on back day when i usually do them?

    just on back day

you can either up the amount of reps/sets or lower the rest period in between your sets

    depends what your aiming for?

Yeah just back day. If you wanna and got your diet on point try working out everything twice a week. Some will respond real well to twice a week training. I did even 100% natural.

that thread here on pullups got me frustrated because i cant do very many wide grip in a row at all. maybe five. that's embarassing.

i was thinking of starting narrow and gradually widening, or you guys think that's stupid and i should just go wide from the beginning?

Thats how I get my friends I help train to do it and it works. How I did it after I dislocated my shoulder to work back to it

And BTW don't get frustrated I'm willing to bet half of them are full of shit. seriously. I've seen guys talk about what they can do and if it seems to good to be true it usually is. Except in my case and Ronnies

I'm a disagree and say everyday, or at least not just on back day.

I did some marine pull up workout while back, can't find it though. I think it was at least 5 days a week.
Can't remember too much of it, but I went from 15 pull ups to 28. Not wide grip, but I would assume the same principle would apply.

the guys that talk shit about how many they can do...most likely arent doin them 100 % correct

if you get 5 done... while extending/stretching the whole way down. then coming up nice and controlled while squeezing up top.

then thats better then doin 15 half assed ones where your not goin the whole way down, going fast and jerky and just gettin up and falling back down without controlling it

    ditto.

Pull Ups are hard, plain and simple. And thats why most people don't do them. And when they do, they do them wrong just to get more reps as to prove they can do a lot. lol I use to be one of them

Depends on his training style. Bodybuilding style this would not benefit IMHO as he SHOULD be doing more lats during is back workout. BB rows, db rows, etc and doing pull ups everyday may discourage adequate recovery time. Though I trained like this during rock climbing and did pullups and pushups ed. I got to 60 pullups with a medium regular grip. But who knows for sure as some athletic sports train a particular part ed and there at the top..... I trained like this
    Day 1: Chest/Back
    Day 2: Legs
    Day 3: Shoulders/arms
    Day 4 off

Its Arnold's old routine and now a lot of Vets etc say its overtraining. I disagree as I have had better/quicker results this way. Just gotta make sure everything is as perfect as I can make it especially diet. And I have also seen research studies that PROVE twice a week training causes more growth than once a week. Significantly too.

i do a couple sets resting two minutes between then get frustrated and move to (sub-body weight) lat pull downs; or alternatively i use the widegrippullup machine with the assist and do sub-body weight pull ups x 10 x 5 sets

Yep I get more benefit from hanging and letting them stretch then aiming for a certain number.... its why I only do 12-15 instead of busting out some stupid number. Difference b/w proper training and ego training.

Yeah now that I think back to my 60 pullups I got 3 quarters of the way down but definitely more than half way but not full extension. Pretty much went far enough where no one would argue that I just busted out that many in front of their face. SHould have seen my mom freak out when I busted out 6 one finger pullups at 14. She was concerned I would have problems or break a finger. Never happened

Some people cannot do pull-ups you might be a dip kinda guy like me, I busted out 25 with good for no swinging coming down almost to locked out elbows at the bottom then pulling up to about nose level then slowly back down, but i have worked at this for along time originally i couldnt do 5 pull-ups just work at it you'll get better.

You seem like me with your stature and all so I'm going to give you some help with the calves. GO HEAVY trust me. Get on the smith machine and do standing calve raises if you gym doesn't have heavy enough calf raise machine (mine doesn't). Always get on the leg press machine and seated calf raise and go heavy. You train every other part as such that you want to get bigger. Back, legs, chest, why would your calves be any different?? Heavy weight builds bigger muscle going high 20+ is doing cardio

My gym blows. Their holiday hours are worse than a bank. What am I even paying these bastards for? I work out at home mostly anyway.
