Update: training is going well, more weight and more reps. Diet is to plan although I am losing some definition, body weight was 209.2 lb this am, so I'm averaging over a pound a day this first week. When I finished my last cycle my next target was to be 220 ripped, if I can do that I will be happy.

Quick update for me too: Ive been too busy to come on here much but I have spent the last 3 days being trained by Ben pakulski. I have learnt alot of new stuff and will be using his training method for the next few months. Trained legs on Monday and I STILL can't walk properly 4 days later! Weight is up 2kg it's probably mostly water since I've doubled my carb intake.

It's the weekend ! Weighed 213 this morning, so that's almost a 13 lb rise, I'm happy with this, im undecided on whether to train and eat carbs, train with no carbs, rest with carbs or rest with no carbs, opinions please.

Honestly I have been seriously debating my diet strategy. I start bulking in one week. But I just read Carb Backloading, and it was an awesome book. I could use their density bulk protocol to add muscle and likely reduce fat at the same time or just prevent any additional fat accumulation, it really is that awesome of a program. My only thing holding me back is it is quite detailed, and I don't want to hinder any of my muscle and strength gains by "skipping" breakfast, and limiting my carb intake mornings and non training days. Part of me thinks I could achieve the same muscle gains either way if I do my back loads right. but part of me doesn't want to risk it, and then part of me doesn't want to just get super fat as I still have a decent journey on the fat loss portion of things.

I can't really give you an opinion on what to do this weekend, simply because I don't have any scientific evidence to point you in one way or the other. This book actually has some good reasons why things are planned out the way they are, but you have to read the whole thing in order to fully understand it, I would have made lots of mistakes if I read half of it and thought I knew what I was doing, because things get more detailed and better explained as you go.
If I don't do the diet for bulking, I will use it for strength accumulation and losing body fat come after my lifting comp in march.
