Legs this morning
Pre exhaust HIT
Leg extensions
3 warm up sets
1 working set with double drop set
Very painful and felt more tightness and pump than usually, on my last drop went right down to halfs and quarters
Hack squats
2 feels sets
1 working with double drop set
This had me gasping for air, really felt it hard on my lunges and my legs were on fire. My lower back issues held up fine and didn't feel anything. Had leg shake when I finished
Squats - my back felt fine so I thought I would add in some squats
3 straight sets - pyramid the weight up and did them slow and controlled. On my last set felt my lower back so just stayed with straight sets for squats.
Lunges
constant tension ones
2 working sets
lying leg curls
2 feel sets
1 working set with double drop
Legs have had it now,not walking so good but had to do calves.
Seated calves raises
2 feel sets
1 working set with double drop set
standing calves raises
2 feels sets
1 working set with double drop and into no weight until couldn't move
Good session and pleased my back held up good, been working hard on my back muscles and more so the thickness to help take the strain off my spine and disc's.

Update
I am still running deca along side my TRT which is helping with the joint and injuries I have, its part of the game when you have trained HIT for so long. Not the best approach of training styles for injuries that's for sure.
Still eating a hell of a lot of food I am having around 7-8 meals per day and eating all the required amounts of pro etc. but everything else aswell lol. No cardio but will be starting this up again in the new year. My body adapts easy to cardio and starts running efficiently very quickly that's why I drop it and start it back up again to kickstart fact loss off again. Only problem at the moment is it does effect my workouts especially legs. I am around 250-252 lbs but was around 240-243lbs when I was priming for my cycle but had to interrupt this planned cycle due to the health issues I had with my prostate.
Shoulder injury is the most serious at this stage, still bothers me on chest days and its effect the size of my chest and shoulder now, I know I should rest it but cant do that so just only training these body part around once per 8-9 days to help see if I can recover form it better. I usually heal well but this is troubling me again so see how things go in the new year.
My workouts are more or less all based off pre exhaust HIT so I don't use as much weight to see if this helps with my shoulder injury. I am still training to failure and going beyond failure in most cases. Very short intense sessions lasting around 45 mins and I am training one body part per session per week. I am alittle but frustrated while training because the power is there but have to watch I don't blow my delt again so everything is done slowly on the positive and negative and I am using a lot of DB so I can move them around to help take the pressure off the delt, with bells your not locked into a groove and they do seem to help me get around things. I am still shifting huge amounts of weight which is tasking but under control and I would ever go off form just in case I inflict more harm on my delt.
Looking big and strong and no one can tell I have a painful shoulder, still not sure where I am going to go either with things but I wont be using any of my heavy cycles again, so I doubt I will be making any huge improvements in size but will be see what happens and how I feel over the next few weeks. At the moment my TRT and deca is holding me proud.

Looking at various interviews with older (old) ex body builders who competed on a professional level when asked what they would do differently all have brought up a common theme between them.
" i wouldn't have lifted so heavy for so long "
whats your take on this marcus

12-24-2013, 06:01 AM #9373
If I wouldn't of lifted that heavy and intense I wouldn't be the size I have been and I am now. Injury is part of the game no mater how you train but HIT does cause a lot of stress on the body. For me I cant lift light and grow I am not a genetic freak so lifting heavy and intense is the way I grow.

Through the years of training and cycles you have done. What weight did you start out at?

I'm shocked. Holy hell Marcus that is truly amazing. I may have some pics somewhere of me 10 years ago that I should find and post. Everyone should to see progress over a decade.
I know you've been at it for over a decade though.. More like 2 decades

Today was a man on a mission day in the gym wsn't in the mood to be fcking around. Did chest today and a quick bitta arms as the gym is closed till the 28th.
Started with 3 warm ups as it was quite cold so took longer to get the blood flowing.
Then into incline pressing with heaviest weight with rest pause was in a mentally angry state due to the fck up yesterday with the gym times, so battered into the first set was really strong and felt great rest then into the second this was a bit harder but kicked mind over matter in an pushed harder into the set then literally failed on myself raised the weight up and I was gone then dropped weight got 3 struggling reps on the dropped weight then forced and negs felt like I was on fire really getting into the weight more and more.
Then onto flat it was the same as above but really controlled my weak mind to force my body to push through it's screaming at me to stop man those sets were crazy really really felt the rush of adrenaline surge around my body.
Then decline, the last couple of weeks I was struggling on this final exercise, so I visualised the weight lifting for the amount of reps i wanted it to do, then it happend was crazy rush batterd into the drop set hard and failed quick but did negs and forced reps was really feeling my chest explode from the filling the muscle.
Then Yates incline flies my fave now.
Arms were nothing special just did em for a bitta blood flow is all.
All in all it was a great workout

Thanks. Dammit, guess I might have to ask the wife for some help. She's strong as an ox
marcus, that picture of you when you first began is amazing. I had the same body at 49!.
..lol
This bs I'm always reading about ectos/hardgainers not being able to put on muscle is proven wrong by what you've accomplished. I really would have thought that you started with a thick frame, not a skinny little guy. Simply amazing.

Just been thinking back to when I first started training have pics somewere. Completely diff body type to you marcus, prefer to have been skinny tho, as you see results an awful lot faster than when you were a fat fck like me

Yep, so was mine. But back than there was nothing other than word of mouth information, and we all know how that is. There was no internet or massive resources for information like is available today. It was pure guess work.
Funny you posted that old pic. I saw one of mine from about 19 yrs old not long ago in my basement. I'll track it down and post it up when i can.

So really all that muscle in youre first 5 or 6 years was hard work and food, zero anabolics. It kills me when these teen-aged kids want to use steroids , there is no need at that age

I wouldn't say there was a lot of muscle there, I wasn't thick at all if I turned sideways I would disappear so it was all about building thickness and more and more muscle. The first 2-3 years was more or less power lifting and them I went further into bodybuilding because my body was getting very muscular so that's the avenue I went down. I trained so hard in the first few years I would regular throw up at every training session and then go and sleep in my car to recover

Damn big guy, hard to believe that was you. How long ago was that?
For Christmas we need a recent pic!
To stick with the current discussion, my first cycle was injectable winny taken orally for maybe 6 weeks. That was back about 12-13 yrs ago. I didn't know sh*t about AAS and my buddy at the time was a monster. He recommended it and got it for me. After that I didnt touch AAS for a good10-11 years. It was all word of mouth back then, atleast as far as I knew and he seemed to know his stuff. Knowing what I know now, that was quite possibly the stupidest cycle possible. Lol
