220ish currently
15-16% BF ruff guess
Don't weigh in with the big boys but lots of people tell me I look 250. The shoulder/back thickness creates a hell of an illusion. I think the bigger I can get without weighing in too heavy will benefit me. Its already hard to scratch my neck I don't want functionality to go away alltogether

I was going to wait until this morning to start doing HIT, but I couldn't wait. Got up Sunday, had a good breakfast, reviewed the blood and guts video and hit the gym. 35 minutes later, my delts and tri's were trashed. Did legs this morning. Glad to report that I can hardly walk. I think it will only get better as I get more familiar with the exercises and what weight I need to hit true failure at 7-10 reps.

Give yourself time. It will take a while to learn to push to ultimate failure, as we describe here. It's really not something you can decide to do one day and "nail it." Just start upping your intensity, shortening your rest periods and reducing sets. Then keep striving to tap into your inner animal and go deeper than you ever have before.
I don't say anything here to dissuade you just to keep it in perspective. Even pro's like Yates have taken other pro's through his style of training and they've failed miserably. They were just not used to it and need time to adapt. In other words, simply pace yourself and accept the learning curve that goes with it.
You'll get there and make great progress as well if you stick with it.

Thanks, Kel. So far, calves have proved hardest. My gym has limited equipment, so I had to improvise and didn't feel like I hit true failure there. Considering I damn near passed out on the leg press and couldn't walk after extensions with a couple of negatives, I felt like I got closer on those.

Been on cycle a little over 3 weeks now and have gained a few lbs. Been weighing 255 in the morning and 260- 262 at night. Haven't added a lot more calories, trying to keep fat gain down this cycle. Im getting stronger and my joints seem to be holding up so far. XXl shirts are no longer fitting properly, to tight on the upper body and arms and a tent around the mid section and waist. It's a problem I never thought I would have but it's a good problem

I preach this here all the time. If calves (or anything) is a weak point then train it first in your workout. Calves won't tire you out for quads/hams, but hams/quads will tire you for calve work and then you're doing calves to just "get them over with." This equals failure, in my book.
Monday is not "Universal" chest day. Whatever your weak point is should be trained first in the week, imho, when you should have the most energy. Strongest points toward the end of the week. Many guys have ego issues cause that means they're doing chest, arms, etc on Friday or so. Don't be one of them. Think long term.
Overall balance is key here to a great physique.Last edited by kelkel; 02-10-2014 at 10:58 AM.

you'll be glad to know somebody actually listened and took your advice. Calves are my weakest, so I did them first. I have really long calves and forearms, so they constantly look "skinny".
I'm going to pretty much stick with the stuff on the video until I get used to it; but once I do, what do you find to be the best overall exercise(s) for glutes?

Hey Marcus. Basically now I just want to improve overal. I wanted to compete but now I'm not so sure. My calves are weak and my hams need a lot of work. I hate training them.my arms are so mich fckin bigger than my calves be hard to do a show right now onoy way to fix that is to train them harder I know and of course I love training the chest and arms. I think another year of bulk and work I could step on stage. I dont think I will make it this year tbh. Keep in mind I'm still a newb training hard everu week since october 2012. I'm just doing what works for me but I do have to be on cycle to make gains I know that much and this is my firat real cycle i guess you could say and I can def tell a difference both aspects. My shoulders have never capped off like that before until I have ran high test with the nandrolone . If I had more time to devote tondiet and training I'd be that much better butbi have to be a family man and so this as a hobby so all I can say is in the future I plan on still training and cycling until i feel I'm ready for the stage well see.

Chad you look great..... Just keep doing what your doing. Doing a show is a huge commitment..... Sometimes you need a little extra push to doit and sometimes you just aren't ready yet. Don't put it off too long if its something you really want to do..... Don't let your years pass you by!
