Yes it was more painful than the pancreas. Feel like you're going to explode. I even spelled it wrong no water or food, nothing by mouth for almost a full month. I snuck ice chips in but I never knew how good water is until this happened. I would see people with bottles of water and literally want to attack them. Lmao. Was no fun.
Doing deads and overhead presses tonight. Get my base back up in strength for another week, then I'll start splitting it up again and get back to business.

Back feels very full from this mornings lift. Need to stretch some @ break time. The new weight on deads seems to have hit everything from glutes to hams, abs, spinal erectors, obliques, h*ll even my forearms are sore.

Legs are on fire! Hit a 10 minute warmup on the bike then I went to hell and back.
Leg extensions: 3 warmups, 1 feel, 1 working with forced and neg.
Leg press: started with 4 plates per side repping out to 12. Added 1 plate/side each set until I hit a personal best of 10 plates/side for 8
Reverse V squat: 2 feel, 1 working w RP.
Lying leg curl: 1 warmup, 1 feel, 1 working to positive failure, 1 working w double drop.
Had to stop there as everything was cramping too bad to continue. I must say that having guys in the gym I trust to spot me is helping me move forward in leaps and bounds.

I had set a goal of lifting every other day so I wouldn't let work throw me off of a regular routine, but if I feel decent later this evening, I may sneak in a chest session. Even though I feel like I've been beaten with a logging chain, I honestly feel a tad energetic.

AKOG, the samiches are a step in the right direction, now time to take the next step. This will take a bit of prep time for one day to set you up for a couple weeks. You need to drop the processed lunch meat, I know you are trying to sub in the meat over the shite, but hear me out. The lunch meat is still low grade meat with preservatives and sodium. Go buy 10 pounds or so of boneless skinless chicken breast, find it on sale, I got 37lbs @ $1.62/lb the other day at Sam's club. Fill two trays, casserole style with high sides, I get about 6lbs per tray. season with garlic salt, pepper, taco seasoning, whatever you like. Bake them slow and long at 225-250 for 3.5hrs, then turn off the oven and let them cool on their own and rest for a couple hours. I leave a couple in the fridge for the next day and individually freeze the rest. When baked this way, once thawed out the meat shreds very easy and you can make chicken salad samiches. Use mayo, avocado, any veggies you like, to add nutrients to your meal. The one day of prep is worth it for the higher quality of protein you will get, and it will be cheaper than the lunch meat in the long run. I applaud you for listen and making the change, now take it one step further and watch what happens to your physique. If you have any questions on my method for the chicken, hit me up anytime..

Just got back from chest and it kicked my arse. Did the fast paced workout again with 45-60 sec rest periods. It was much more difficult than back was yesterday.
Flat Dmbl: 2 warm, 4 working
Incl Press: 4 working
Incl Fly: 4 working
Hammer Decl: 4 working
I was spent after this, almost every set of presses was to failure where I couldn't complete another rep with strict form. Was done lifting in about 30 min, but did 5 min warm on treadmill and some light stretching, so 45min total. Rest day tomorrow, looking forward to it already, going to eat, eat, then eat some more.
I added in some winny orally at 50mg ed starting yesterday, and also adjusted my stane to 12.5mg every 8 hours. I know that is a lot of AI, but these lumps gotta go and can't risk them getting bigger. If that means tanking my e2 for a while, so be it. I will monitor how I feel and adjust if needed.Last edited by zempey; 01-27-2015 at 06:32 AM.

During my cut I would shred it into my salads, it shreds easy, just pulls apart with your hands. I have used it for samies too, but now I just take 10 oz with rice or sweet potato and veggies x 2, sometimes 3 depending how long my day is going to be at work.

I'm w/ Zempey. Cook meats ahead of time, freeze anything I won't eat in next 2 days, and pull from freezer every couple or days. The main 2 meats I use are flank steak ( bought by the case to save $$) and boneless/skinless chicken breast or chicken tenders.
Just woke up to eat and then crashing for another 5 hours or so.
Current meal: 8 oz grilled chicken, 1.5 cups of steamed yellow and zucchini squash, medium sweet potato.
Don't be afraid to buy frozen veggies. Although they aren't quite as good as fresh IMHO, they are much better than the canned veggies w/ all of the extra sodium, etc. Keep your eyes open and you may find some on sale.
The slow cooker idea DPyle uses is another great way to cook several meals at once.
Don't get me wrong, your meals are a greatly improved over your old diet. A good step in right direction.
Regarding salmonella, the only time I've gotten food poisoning was from stuff that wasn't prepared at home.Last edited by almostgone; 01-27-2015 at 11:57 AM.

I got that way w/ rice, and the wife started adding in a part of a can of the low sodium beef broth or chicken broth to the rice. Made enough difference that I didn't mind eating it. Right now, I'm on a red potato/ new potato kick. I love those f-in things with a steak.
I really want to incorporate more fresh fish in my diet.
Time for this old man to sleep some more. Will check in later. Believe I will get that chest session in this evening. Need to stretch out the back some also. Really feeling yesterday's back session. Still feeling extra good about the deads.

@aog cooking chicken is as simple as zempey posted. Unless you put the effort in eatting you'll always be what where you are. Packaged shit is just as bad if not worse than the bars you were eatting they fire loads of preservatives etc into them to give them a long shelf life.
@clarky yeh rice rice and some more rice with potatoes at the mo its funny but when yiu eat that plain always you can taste the starch off the potatoes lol and they taste nice sad times
