Waiting for gym to reopen tomorrow. Didn't realize how much I need it until I was forced some days off... just too much stuff it's best to release on the weights.

Took yesterday off from gym, first day off since comp started. Did a little extra diet cheating yesterday too, but not too bad. Feel good and rested, finally stopped coughing up crap, should be a good week for muscle building and fat burning! Bout to hit back, bi's and cardio

Good morning all!
Just got back from a week of work travel. Highlights are this:
- The people were fine, but I generally just don't like Los Angeles... and especially LAX. How do you guys live with that traffic? Went to Venice Beach, everyone should see it once, its an interesting people-watching experience. Muscle beach was cool to see in that "gotta see it" sorta way. Walked from there up to Santa Monica Pier, It was a hefty walk up and back, but a nice way to spend the day. Work stuff was unexpectedly good.
- I managed to get in all my workouts, two at the hotel with limited equipment, and once at a planet fitness (which was insanely crowded).... GPS said it was 10 miles away, 40 minutes later I was there, WTF?
- I ate well (relative to my normal eating when I travel). I did indulge, but stayed away from the desserts.
Progress update:
- I'm down about 9 pounds, its always a big drop in the beginning, I'll average about 2 pounds a week when this is over. That wont get me overly thin, and I could still stand to lose plenty more, but I'm thoughtful about this being a temporary endeavor. I don't want to just burn up (what little) muscle I have in an all out effort to lose weight... after all, I've seen you guys, I know where I stand and my changes relative to that. I'd like to be thoughtful of getting down in weight, and staying there for a bit. (re-reading that, sounds like an excuse,lol)
- I'm back to my normal chicken/eggs/beef diet, and in for leg day tonight.

Back to school. Will be having to adjust training in order to get back to the house to get youngest on the bus. May have enough time to go back for cardio before work. Tomorrow will be the first test.
