  1. Day 18 - Thinking about bulk diet and those pesky calorie recommendations

by , 08-08-2013 at 05:17 AM (An honest journey)
    Dear reader,

As I am closing in on my bulk cycle (about 45 days away) I have been investigating the claim that 500 calories above TDEE is what one should eat. Except for being the accepted rule on these forums I can not find any science that is backing this up. I realize this is just a recommendation and one size do not fit all but I still decided to look into this a bit closer. Many people report gaining quite a bit of fat while adding the 500 calories above TDEE, why is that? Bottom ...
  2. Day 17 - Food cooking day

by , 08-07-2013 at 11:32 AM (An honest journey)
    Greetings,

My rotating diet is rotated every five days which makes it so I can cook for five days at a time. Very convenient and keeps the food fresh for the duration in the fridge. This time I am eating eggs, chicken, veggies, peanuts, peanut butter and a protein shake. Today was a Triceps and Biceps day but simply did not have time for any Cardio today. Just not enough time in the day. Must admit I feel a bit demotivated today. Just a lot of big decisions coming up in the next month ...

  3. Day 16 - no sleep

    Dear reader,

Last night I had a backlash from not taking the Ketotifen and did not fall asleep until well after 1am. Of course my leg workout today also suffered and it was a pain to just get through it but my will to succeed won and I finished it. Tomorrow I will stay home early morning and cook for another 5 days. Doing it in 5 day cycles seems to work real well and the food seems to still taste well within that time period.

One of the threads going in the Nutrition ...

  4. Day 15 - A successful weekend

by , 08-05-2013 at 11:17 AM (An honest journey)
    Dear reader,

This past weekend was truly successful. Kept to my diet and got my workouts done and at the same time got quality time spent with my family. This is in my mind a huge success. Abs yesterday went truly great and each week I am increasing the amount of reps I can do in each exercise. Abs part of the workout seems completely unaffected by the low calorie intake I have, not quite sure why, but interesting. Also had about 20 minutes of HIIT training yesterday keeping heart ...

  5. Day 13/14 - Weigh-in day number 2 is here

by , 08-04-2013 at 02:09 AM (An honest journey)
    Hello,

Normally I use Sundays as my resting day but this week I changed it up and moved it to Saturday which means that Today was my Abs day and Carb-up day. The Carb-up seems to be very needed for me as I see a real slowdown in the diet unless I incorporate this. The Carb-up is basically a low fat high carb day but still on the same caloric level as my other days.

This weeks values looks like this (Next week I will add a picture for reference):
