Seems like going to the gym every day had become like the long term relationship that lost its spark. I still went every day and thought I gave it my all but I did not spend the day thinking about it and go in with the passion that was once there. Now once again my workouts have become my mistress. I constantly think about what I'm going to do to those weights when I get there. When I finally get to the gym I am completely ready for battle. The plan I went over in my head during the day gets executed with passion and I am able to give it 110% and not leave until there is nothing left.
Thanks to all of you for this thread. Really got me going again.

Thanks for posting up your experience regarding the mental aspect, Marcus.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Its hard to continually have this dedication for the gym when we all have our own life's to run and families to take care of, many things get in the way and I'll be honest I've been very selfish in my younger days which cost me a lot of heartache and trauma due to my obsession for the gym but when I look back and think about things the gym was me, it was and still is a huge part of who I am. So its apart of me and that's the direction I wanted to go and its done me well and given me great things other than big muscles. Never lose sight of what's important in life but always be true to yourself and who you are! woow where the hell did all that come from lol anyway I am glad this thread has given you the extra push you need to develop further and when I read things like this it makes me feel good that I actually made an impact on someone's life. Great dedication Bikeral

Cardio and arms today. Did the cross trainer. 30 mins on empty stomach felt good after it then did arms.
Biceps to start:
Warmed up on the cable machine
Did straight bar curls on the cable for two heavy sets and one slow drop my biceps were pumping away looking great I have one vein delveloping on my left arm and it was popping was great.
Then hamer db curls did these medium weight but slow and concretreated feeling the neg part of the exercise by now my biceps werre screaming but I kept going was brilliant.
Then light ez bar curls standing isolating the biceps by this stage I was well into the pain barrier it was great you could see the peak of my biceps bursting through my t was epic
Triceps:
Rope push downs same as biceps were really great
Behind the head single arm db presses again really burning by now
To finish a quick blast of skull crushers.
By the time I left the gym I had slabs hanging off my arms and forearms were pumping too I shall be sore tomorrow

Great quote. Funny thing is I've never met anyone who has spent any serious time living this lifestyle, training hard, eating well, etc. who said 'That sucked. Not for me.' Didn't have the discipline to keep doing it? Yes. Lots. But saying they felt crappy and didn't see any reason to do it? No.[/QUOTE]
I LOVE this, Java. You are spot on in my experience.

Thank you, I plan on getting a full hormone panel done. Marcus Im 28, ill be 29 in 3 months. THe contest I had wanted to join was at the end July, somewhere around the 20th. If I wait until February, I will have 12 weeks to bulk and then 12-16 weeks to prepare. I hadn't set a date before going back on cycle yet. I just wanted enough time to prepare and I knew I would have it if I went back on in January without having to worry. I can always pick another show no big deal if I don't make that one, it was just close to home
I have thought about the trt. Im nearing 30 and I know eventually I should be on it because I cycled too young like many kids, I was 20 at my first cycle, and then I cycled again at 21 and didn't cycle anymore until I was 27. Now I jus came out of the 4th presently. After my 3rd, my test came back 416. Not really low but a little low. So your right totally and I really appreciate you seeking out to help me. Its your thread and I Just post here but you have helped me a lot with pm and posting training techniques here and don't think I don't appreciate it I do man.
this is something haven't done and I plan on doing this for the next 2 months at least to the best of my abilities. Thank you again

Its a pleasure my friend, its hard enough understanding how I train and implementing the protocol what are need to tap into those tough muscle fibers let alone gettying the mental state of mind but its a journey what needs to be taken if you want to reap the rewards of HIT. I know I have my own little edges to HIT but they work for me and I see you all benefiting from them. Just learn and try to open up that mind set pre working set and you will be amazed what you are capable of doing, even if you think about this thread and how I force this principles across it may just help you all.
Please anyone post their experience with this mental state of mind in the coming weeks I would be rally interested in seeing how far you guys have come, I can also plenty of guys there already which makes me smile because you guys know what I am talking about, you know the pain we have to over come, welcome to the pain zone

I love feed back, I thrive off it so let me know how everything isd going and if you have any problems and myself and Kel with try and direct you in the best way possible, even though we do have some differences the same principles apply.....
Lets get it on guys your learning so much now its time to put it in practise and I truly wish I could come and train each and every one of you and take you to the zone myself, I am 100% certain what I would whisper in your ears while your prepping you will be on fire to kill me and the weights

Chad, I'd be very interested in your BW when you get it back. I can help you to make sure you get the right panels pulled as well as analyze it for you. Like Marcus said, make sure it's at least 6 weeks maybe even closer to 8 weeks AFTER pct if you can. That way you'll get the most honest assessment of how you've recovered.

That would be a great experience if I survived lol
Thank Kel, should I go with a private lab or just go to my local doc like I normally do? I have bc/bs insurance and it takes care of most of the charges didn't know about a private lab though. I have heard setting up a bw appt. online and then going to the lab is that correct?

I'd sure like that, as I'm sure all of us would! If you were to train me in person I don't think I could pay attention to the weights - I'd have to stare at your biceps and shoulders hahaa.
So, what would you say to get someone fired up? Can you tell, in a general way?
-
11-30-2013, 10:21 AM #8097
Well, one is out of pocket and the other paid by insurance. You won't be "on cycle" so I'd go through your doc and have insurance pay for it. Just be sure you get all the panels you want. This way it's on file if a future medical need (think TRT) comes about. If he balks at some of the tests you can always then go to a private lab. Yes, you set it up on line if your state allows it. Some don't though. Then one of the mainstream labs (Lab Corp) will process it.

I'm to do anything your require to ignite the fire within you.
I would talk to you and motivate you like no one else could, you will be firing on all cylinders by the time ive finished with you and if that includes you feeling my bi's and delts then that's what it will have to take

Finally got a chance to try drop-sets in my usual shrug routine. Definitely happy I added it. Good shock to the muscle since I've never tried them with shrugs before.

I'm always very nervous doing shrugs. I've pulled my trap many times throughout the years doing them. Form is good too, sometimes it just happens. Mostly when shrugging with the BB over 225lbs.
