Back, good session but knee is jacked. Contacting Mayo Clinic to see if they take my insurance.
Switched up back routine and I am toast. I must be getting old. After back I just wanted to come home and lay around, haha.

Lat pulldowns, cable, multi exercise bar
    1 w/u x 12
    1 feeler x 12
    1 w set w/ r/p to hit 13

Hammer strength reverse grip plate pull down
    1 w/u x 12
    1 feeler x 12
    1 w set w/ r/p x 3 to hit 14

Seated cable row, multi exercise bar
    1 feeler set x 12
    1 w set w/ r/p x 2 to hit 12

    Straight arm pull downs
    1 feeler x 12
    1 w set w/ r/p x 2 to hit 11, drop x 1 x 1 rep only to complete failure

Halfs and quarter reps all sets.

Tried low back extensions but knee would not tolerate strain of back extension machine. Just pulling on the hammy a little caused too much pain. Was going to do floor extensions or supermans when I got home but I am toast, haha. Will do them next time and gym.

Did them all the time pre-contest back in the day. Didn't have the apparatus though. Just had to lean back, hold a plate to your chest with one hand and a post with the other (for balance) and go to work. Form was different though. We pushed the hips and knees forward, if you can picture that...

Yeah I saw some examples looking up what this exercise was called. It really got me today I supersetted them with single leg curls. My quads are screaming

I like it a lot. I also tried the multi exercise bar turned upside down (handles facing down, gives different angle into chest) for full ROM lat pull down while keeping the elbows tight, trying to put hands into armpits kind of movement, and it hit my lats better than anything I've done yet. Saw a vid on it being great for widening the lats and really like it. Not much beats the hammer strength, though. Maybe someday when I get some lats I will do it justice...was thinking about implants...

It wasn't an immediate thing for me either. Just noticed a reduction in pain over the ROM. Massaging a torn muscle sucks, but it did help my mobility. Just didn't let her get too aggressive with it.

Yes it does. She was digging her thumbs in and holding it there. It hurt, but then again I think I'd let her hurt me all whe wants. It was sore for a while yesterday after treatment but it's definitely getting better. PT again today at noon, not laser though.

So first time not doing a PCT, instead just straight to 100mg/week test E... What a difference. Fuck PCT meds. I feel 500x better and it's been a few weeks. Yea natural is better of course, but whatever, life goes on. At least I don't feel like a complete pile of shit for a couple months.

So are you planning on cruising now? 100mgs still keeps you shut down.... imo if your going to do that run 125-150 and get bloods broken down into 2 shots wk so half of the total dose to keep your estrogen from spiking with one shot

What's your pre cycle TT & FT? Is it low already I know when I cycled once my pre cycle BW came back st 310ng/dl should've taken care of it b4 that cycle tbh

Nice! Feeling better is good sign, especially if it involves a female and the administration of pain. Hence my deep tissue massage appointment tomorrow .
I didn't get weekly laser treatments either. I think I got lasered 3 times maybe since all of this started. She only used it as a "kicker" after a few scraping session or if it was more inflamed and holding fluid.
The lasering didn't make a dramatic difference, but it did seem to accelerate the reduction in inflammation/swelling which freed things up a tad.
Anyway, good stuff, Kel. Hope the trend continues @ a rapid pace!

Morning everyone. Too many posts to address individually, but good to see everyone. Nach - you're a beast. Hope you have $$ for a taylor because you aren't wearing off the rack shirts my friend. Good to see Marcus here, glad the hurricane wasn't personally devastating Clarky. Hope property and job is all still in line.
Hope the leg heals up Kel. Not a fan of that digging into the muscle stuff. If I want to hurt injured I'll just go work out. Until then feed me grapes and fan me with a palm frond or leave me alone.
AG, Cape, good to see you guys, MS too. Following guys I don't know so well (DCI, Cuz, etc.) because everyone here seems pretty solid so far. I always question a gathering that allows me as a member but seems pretty okay so far.

Taking today off. Want to work shoulders but noticed running w/o consecutively into 4 and 5 days I was getting too run down. I don't lift at near the capacity you guys do but at 56 and built like sponge bob doesn't take a lot to sack me.

Just made an appt with Mayo Clinic for consultation for total knee. Spoke to Ortho friend who pleaded with me to stop lifting for size/maintenance, drop some bf and lean way out. He thinks that will go farther than anything and maybe avoid total knee for a few years. I have to admit I am really up in my head about it because ever since I was young I just wanted some definition and reasonable size. Nothing crazy, I will never be like Marcus, Kel, Nach and probably the rest of you guys but I did put on some decent shoulder width and chest thickness. So trying to decide if I can let that go and concentrate on maybe just leaning up like a maniac to try and preserve my knee. No guarantees - can do all that and still need a replacement and then lose everything size wise and have to start over. PT buddy of mine said if I got aggressive could easily drop 30lb with bf/mass. That's a lot of weight off the knees and honestly I could likely drop 40 if I leaned way out and looked like one of those tall UFC fighters that are skin and bones. Not sure what to do. Can't run anymore and lifting replaced that and keeps me stable mentally at the least, really enhances my life. You guys know what I mean about the attraction to iron, how it's just you and the weights, how therapeutic that is, how they are welcoming no matter what. Anyway, not sure what to do and wanted to voice it here hoping for blunt honesty on how you guys might feel if in a similar situation.
I need to be mobile because I have a 12 y/o son and 7 y/o daughter. I need to be able to go to the park and throw a frisbee without limping around and having to sit down, and need to be able to hike, and be active. But I like weights, love having some shoulders and love the personal challenge of body recomp. I started off as a thin, no definition distance runner with no muscle mass. I couldn't even throw up 45s for a bench when I started lifting. Anyway, kind of mind-f*cked right now over the deal and hoping to hear some things that may help crystallize a plan. Thanks guys.

Cheers and have a great day!

Thx TRAZ! I'm ok with my physique ATM but still tons of work ahead of me but I appreciate the kind words!

Idk how your built but why not just trying to lean out without losing muscle tissue or even adding some while dropping bf HIT is great for that it's all it ever does for myself and others - just an idea & I hope the knee heals up - ever do stem cell I know you mentioned it to myself which would be the route I'd go + GH

You can still stay lean 10-12% yr round and don't have to give up mobility just do what you can that doesn't bother the knee - easier said I know but you'll be gtg with your 12yr old believe me you'll do whatever it takes to do so believe me!

Best of luck and you know where to teach me if u need or want to talk!

The mobility comes in with the loss of 30-40 lbs. I don't have that in bf so would sacrifice some lean muscle, so debating doing that vs total knee, but no guarantee if I drop all the mass/weight knee gets drastically better. Right now I limp bad and any twist or jarring moving, misstep, etc., causes 9/10 pain, it's about 6-7/10 when walking.

Ugh my gf just may have torn her ACL/or MCL - not sure but one wrong twist and she goes down but she can do some legs so that's a good thing in itself

I get what you mean now just the weight will or can help with the knee itself heal up buddy we need your knowledge in here
