**Marcus's HIT Dungeon**
Question: haven't lifted since last Thursday, Friday was a rest and then sick Saturday till current.
Still sick, stuffy nose.....trying to shake it. Feel better at points.....the stuffed up head is the worse.
Should I really truly wait to go to gym till 100%?
I am dying (I know dramatic).....the gym is my release and I am getting anxious in my head.
I know I need to heal....just missing my routine. I need routine, it's how I function.
Sorry for the rant

If not fully healed I would keep it to higher rep compound movements or maybe c*rdio and don't go in with the "kill it" mindset. Just maybe get a good sweat going. If they have a steam room, have a seat in there for a bit.
Edit: I have to censor the "c" word or Kel will punch me in the face.Last edited by almostgone; 05-24-2017 at 12:41 AM.

Morning peeps. Got a question on soreness. Got any advice on how to reduce muscle soreness in the days following a workout. To be honest I don't mind 2-3 days of soreness. But when I train legs like a did last Thursday, they feel like they have been beaten with stick for a long time. Today is Wednesday and I'm still very sore. Wondering if you guys have any tips to speed this process along a bit.

Just finished a couple of stuffed Poblanos peppers. Going to eat a half of a grapefruit and crash here in a bit.
If we don't get blown away by the storms, I plan to ease down to the shop and get in some chest work tonight. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Bicep update:
Orthopaedic Doc called me tonight after he conferred with the surgeon. Surgery is not recommended. I questioned him and he said the tear is somewhere between 25 and 50% as there's no way to be precise. It is at the distal end (elbow) as well as up a wee bit more. Said it appears some of the damage is probably old.
I pressed him about recovery and if surgery was a better option in my case. He advised not really as there can be issues with surgery as well, such as a shorter, tighter bicep, etc. So, I start therapy for it on Tuesday, 2-3 times per week at a local PT Facility. He said they need to get the inflammation out and then strengthen it and so on. If for some reason PT doesn't go well or I'm not satisfied at that time then surgery could still be performed. A total tear would require instant surgery, this does not.
So, it seems like it's a coin toss and they feel this is the best option in my case. We'll see. In the meantime I'm jumping back on GH and will request a script for Var from my doc to help with collagen synthesis. Whatever I can do to speed this shit up.

It sounds promising, Kel. LOL, I bet you are going to blow people's mind at the PT facility. When I went for my shoulder years ago I was the youngest patient there.
There will probably be a ruckus among the female therapists; have a feeling they will all want to work on you.
Keep us updated as the therapy progresses. At first, I didn't have much confidence that the therapy was helping, but at about week 3, things really started improving. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Morning, everyone. The weather was kind of rough here and Mrs. AG said I looked run down, so I didn't get to lift. She admitted that she put something extra in with my maintenance meds so that explains my current groggy feeling.
Will defo be in the shop tomorrow evening. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
