Morning guys!!! Today is officially day 6 with no gym. I am seeing my main dr today, cause I am just not getting better fully, Stinks. I am planning on taking tomorrow too to be be sure I am fully better than I will come back to lift.

I am ending my Var. I don't want to waste it. I am only 4 days early. I will take off 2 months and come back and train hit the whole time and eat enough (that's the one thing I was lacking).....I am still going to tear it up In the gym. In my world there is no other way to be. May just be a little less weight

I will train hit with pull backs!

Sorry guys, really wanted to finish strong, but my body had other plans.

You made incredible gains. And you learned a new training method that works for you. I'd say that's a win win. You had a great run. Be proud of what you accomplished.

X2 on what Cape said. Also, you adapted to HIT remarkably fast. You'll find that you'll get even deeper into your lifts next go around.

Said it appears some of the damage is probably old.

I pressed him about recovery and if surgery was a better option in my case. He advised not really as there can be issues with surgery as well, such as a shorter, tighter bicep, etc. So, I start therapy for it on Tuesday, 2-3 times per week at a local PT Facility. He said they need to get the inflammation out and then strengthen it and so on. If for some reason PT doesn't go well or I'm not satisfied at that time then surgery could still be performed. A total tear would require instant surgery, this does not.

So, it seems like it's a coin toss and they feel this is the best option in my case. We'll see. In the meantime I'm jumping back on GH and will request a script for Var from my doc to help with collagen synthesis. Whatever I can do to speed this shit up.

What kind of dosage are you planning on the var, Kel?

Requested the script for 20 mgs which keeps it in reality for him to issue. I have my own sitting around but may as well use insurance instead for this since it's a legitimate reason. I may use only that amount although studies show higher. I'd rather keep it lower, run it for 8 weeks or so, check BW which should be zero issues and repeat.

Considering upping my test and deca as well as that was my original plan after BW and Stress Echo came back great. Then shit hit the fan. I'm leaning toward elevating things considering I can still train all but bi's. Thoughts?

Absolutely up your reps. Nothing wrong with doing something different for a while for renewed growth and motivation. Reps are one thing but also consider the pace of your sets and the pace of the reps you perform. Slow some down, speed some up. Heavy compounds you'd err more on the side of slowing reps speed down. Lighter movements such as flyes you can speed up the rep pace. It all changes the intensity of the exercise and will give a different feel and hopefully renewed growth.

Also change the exercise rotation frequently. Don't do the same sequence all the time. Do it in reverse, whatever. Just throw wrenches at your routine so you're body doesn't adapt to it and it's forced to grow.

Perfect exactly what I was asking!! I did smith incline press and though I'm going heavy I've been doing really slow negatives on each rep(so the tempo I get for sure) then went on to flys into presses and upped the rep range a bit going to 15ish w/drops more on flys actually and a faster tempo... bis I upped my heavy oly bar curls with very slow reps up o 8-10 then dropped had a great pump... I get more painfully DOMS that last longer so I love that

Awesome I didn't know if that was adequate enough... but I've definitely been doing that!!

    Thanks as always Kel!

Yes, I can work everything else normally with the exception of back. Have to be careful what exercises I do there and can't use a supinated grip as that's when the bicep comes into play.

All that said, I saw my Chiro (I have way to many doctor friends) yesterday and he agreed with me that I should get a second opinion for peace of mind. He recommended a particular guy who's resume is impeccable, in my area as well. He's developed many procedures used today in orthopaedic surgery and has an impeccable resume, particularly dealing with athletes. I called and was able to get in this Tuesday due to a cancellation. So, we'll see what he has to say as well. I also start PT later the same day. I'll be holding off on ramping up any AAS until this next appt.

Chiro also offered to Kinesio Tape me if I needed/wanted it as he's certified in it. It's the tape method you see used on athletes. It was prominent in the summer olympics. Particularly female beach volley ball, cause who doesn't watch that.......

ps: Doc already called in Var script. Love him.

KT tape is good stuff, also see if anyone can do some cupping over the muscle belly. That has helped with my calf strains after my knee surgery and with my knee problems.

Kel, Have you considered distance running to give yourself a break and your bicep tendon a chance to heal? There's a nice marathon out this way a bit later we could get you targeted for...

Actually, you just described what I was planning on doing after my Dr. appointment next week, provided she leaves me alone for a bit. Had been kind of piecing the plan together after you looked at my recent labs and we had discussed them and Deca dosage.
Trying to get this dang shoulder back up to snuff. It does fine at times and then suddenly it gives me grief. If this run and the PT exercises that I'm currently doing doesn't help, then I will bite the bullet and get my Dr. to send me for imaging. However, I really think this is something that will resolve itself with the right actions on my part?

I think it's a legit plan and will be perfect with concurrent PT going on. You are able to do some rowing movements and pulldowns for back w/o major discomfort, correct?

Edit: I just saw your later post that you can do some back work, depending on grip orientation. I still think your plan is solid and plan to do something very similar myself.

Not overly thrilled with what I got done tonight but still think I am doing the right thing. Since I can't move much weight right now, it as good a time as any to do what I can, work on bench press form, and aim for as much chest stimulation as I can get.
Still miss my dumbbell work, but it's my own fault for hammering up the heavier bells instead of assisting with my legs. I'll be back to them later on. My gut is telling me to keep flat bench, but stay light and preserve that range of motion during the movement.

RC exercises with my light band, broomstick stretches, and delt/pec stretches off of the uprights of my Smythe machine.

Flat b'bell press- 3 w/u and I realized I didn't need to go any heavier.
    Incline b'bell press- 2 w/u, Work1- 7, rest pause, 4. Drop a little weight. Work2- 5, rest pause, 4, rest pause, 3.
    Incline d'bell flyes into presses- 1 w/u, Work1- 10 flyes, 6 presses. Rested for a minute. Work2- 10 flyes, 5 presses.

Working weights are ridiculously light right now, but my shoulder currently feels decent and I have that nice dull ache in my chest, so I can live with that.

    40 minutes for everything.

Legs are next in the rotation, so I can hammer the sh!t out of them. I'm almost free of pain from squats the other day.

I questioned him and he said the tear is somewhere between 25 and 50% as there's no way to be precise. It is at the distal end (elbow) as well as up a wee bit more.

Fucking hell big guy, sorry to hear to this

Good morning all and happy Friday all.

I think I am heading to gym for a light day this morning, this whole next week will be a pullback week.

Went to my normal dr and she got me set up on a right treatment plan.

I promise I won't go crazy at the gym.
