Hello ladies and gentlemen. Question about pullback weeks... im a begginner doing my first round of hit. Is it worth me doing a pullback? The reason i ask is because i know im not pushing it to the level you guys are. Im coming to 6 weeks of this training style.

    Have a great day guys

I would. It takes time to fully learn to push your body to really lift beyond failure. Pullbacks are an important and very necessary part of HIT. You've been going at it 6 weeks, so it's time for a pullback.
If you're going to continue to lift HIT style, might as well get used to all aspects of it, right?
I noticed you say you know you aren't pushing your training as hard as others in this thread. Go ahead, hit your pullback, and then jump back into the beyond failure training. You'll find you have more energy and will be able to push yourself even further.
Remember, it takes time to learn how to push yourself.

No no Nach , I didn't have pneumonia recently, we are talking past year. This last week I got a sinus infection. But since Friday been better.

Guys I am not so lift crazy that I would risk my thyroid crashing again......it's the worst feeling in the world. Just because I say i miss the gym and am going crazy, doesn't mean I am running towards it and not hearing first.

Saturday was my first day back after 7 full days off, I was in there 20-25 min and did extremely light weights and didn't push at all. Yesterday I pushed a little, but that's very mild from my normal.

I am not stupid, I will take care of myself first every time. Doesn't mean I will like it or not scream and kick the whole time, but I will honor my body first always.

Morning Marcus, Cape, AG, Nach, Song and Clarky and the rest of you heavy hitters!

Day 3 today of official pullback. My legs actually are a little sore. Such a good feeling. I was able to push it, but doing less weight and then 12-15 rep range. I really listened to my body on this one. Tested out a feeler rep. My strength is down anyway.

I know it's a mix of coming off stone and sinus infection and also off var. that won't stop me next time.

How long should I do this pullback? I know at least a week, but do you all think 2?

So I happened to get a months supply of HGH last night from my brother, he gets really good pharmaceutical grade hgh, him and my sis in law do it for 3month long cycles then off and then back on. I will run it 3 moths they said.

I have no experience with it, anyone here for a female? Or in general? So he said to do .25 daily. Since I am not running it for actual 'growth' more repair or so.

    What are your thoughts?

I would go at least 2 weeks, possibly more depending on how you feel. Definitely give yourself at least a week past being on any antibiotics or anything. If you feel kind of run down, go for another week.
You want to be back to 100% w/o any doubts about it and then go back to the beyond failure stuff.

Meh, marginal lift this morning. Dang shoulder is really starting to irk me. I may drop any shoulder presses for a awhile and double down on medial and posterior delt work. We'll see how it goes.

RC exercises, broomstick stretches, and wall stretches off the upright of my Smythe machine.

Close grip Smythe presses- 4 w/u, Work- 4, drop, 4, drop, 3, rest pause, 3.
    Triceps pressdown w/ U shaped handle- 2 w/u, Work-6,drop,6. Rest for 1 minute. Work2- 5+ reps.
EZ curl skullcrushers @ a moderate weight- Work-8, rest pause, 4.
    Preacher curls- 2 w/u, Work- 8, drop, 3, and 5 forced reps w/a slow 5 count negative.
    Seated concentration curls- 1 w/u, Work-4, drop, 3, drop,3, superset with Incline d'bell curls- 4, rest pause, 2+.

    45 minutes total.

Not sure how much diluent comes with whichever brand you are using, but the first step would be to find out how many IU the .25 is. I think you'll get more feedback if you have that information.
For me, I always liked to go for ~ 6 months shooting 2-3 IU, 5 days on and 2 days off. However, don't base your dosage off of that, females may be able to run a lower dosage, which would give you a bit more time of running growth.

I agree AG low dose over the longest period of time(6months minimum imho) I'm trying myself to start at least a 6month - 1yr run at 2-4iu(5/2)

Not sure. Most people have no clue the intensity of effort that goes into advanced training because they've never done it. Or handle the type weight that we do.

Well school is officially out. That means summer camps. Which means my morning workouts will now become afternoon workouts due to having to get to the camp via me in the am. I am not an afternoon workout person. 8 weeks till school starts.

The coolest day. My city Rotary, which I'm a member has the biggest Memorial Day event in our state. We were so fortunate to have a 89 yr old POW from Korea speak today. He was amazing and inspirational.

I use a pesto! I love a good pesto sauce on steelhead or salmon.

I hate to skip a body part, but my left shoulder is shot. I was going to bypass shoulder presses and work the hell out of medial and posterior heads, but I think I better just let this damn thing rest, which sucks.
Will hit squats tomorrow night and keep ice on the shoulder tonight.
