    Good morning everyone!!

Had a really good day yesterday. Pushed too much probably.

Started day out walking down the block. Fresh air and out of the house. Got about a block. (Day before I got maybe 20 yards not even) so was feeling good and happy.

Haven't sat straight up since surgery, family member brought me some lunch, decided to try, and got to sit at table for or lunch. Very very happy about that.

Decided was feeing so good, ( have follow up appointment Thursday) so I wanted to see if I could drive myself. Drove a few mins, was not comfortable and ended up in some pain.

The rest of the night was pretty rough, but getting there. Feel very couped up. Like I'm in jail. Dying lol.

So I stopped trt few weeks before surgery. Wondering if I should wait to start up again, or can I start up. No cycle (not stupid) but just trt dosing. Thoughts?

People may slam me for this, but if you're sure your T is subnormal, I would get it into normal range. To me, if your body chemistry isn't within normal parameters, you really have a rough time with recovery, let alone feeling normal.

Most definitely re-start TRT. Healthy and optimized T levels will do nothing but help with your recovery.

This is good to hear man... I think if you push yourself hard you'll be fine in the long run - about your other leg... the samething happened to my father after they went in to work on his sciatic nerve then it switched legs... unfortunately! It could be compensation from using it more atm - hang in there I asked him about this in the am and wanted to tell you asap! Stay strong and push yourself and as Kel said having optimal T levels will also help in recovery! Why did you stop it, Sfla?

Stay posting it'll help your mindset too!

    Nach

Definitely. My T was in the toilet after the last bout of heart problems years back and I was absolutely miserable. I mean not just down, but actually depressed, which isn't my normal personality at all. I spoke with the cardiologist I was seeing then and he was totally anti-T and suggested I see my PCP about antidepressants. I said Fvck that, fired him, and got really lucky with my next cardiologist. Not only was she a cutie, she had strong ties to MUSC and was able to get me in with their top heart failure Dr. He flew up to a clinic at the secondary USC campus in Spartanburg weekly, and got me on some very new meds in conjunction with the biventricular pacemaker I had for a while, which actually partially remodeled my heart. I spoke with the new cardiologist about my T situation and she was totally up to date, even though I have the clotting disorder. She was a big believer in healthy hormone levels and the benefits they provide. Really miss that lady. She had some issues and is no longer with us, but man she was sharp....and pretty as a picture.
When I lost her, I had one hell of a time finding a T friendly Dr. Some were willing to address it until they saw/felt the big hole where the pacemaker was and then T was out of the question.
Finally got in with the PCP I see now, and although she was a little slow to embrace a more modern protocol, she did listen and work with me, which was literally a life changer for me.

Damn, AG... I had no idea the condition of your heart. Sorry yet congrats on being able to find a physician wiling to work with you!!! I knew it was bad but to have your blood values where they are is a testament to your willpower and mindset!

It's amazing what our bodies/& minds can do with the injuries we sustain. AG, I wish you all the best moving forward and a clean slate of health(seems you have already got that part under control! Man, I always like hearing these types of stories buddy! Much respect as always!

Thanks for sharing, as well... really helps keeps things in perspective for us all. Glad your with us on the journeys we're all on together in here.

Can't multi reply on phone, well at least I don't know how lol.

Ag, kel, and Nach thanks for the feedback.

I stopped because I knew I was having blood test for pre op. And didn't want anything messing it up. Probably was worthless anyways cause everything moved pretty fast towards the end.

Nach when your dad had this, did it go away at all? Haven't really been compensating since been bed ridden lol. But maybe before hand I can see that. Thanks for asking you me dad for me. How is he anyway? Haven't heard much?

Chest and tri's (with a little bi's) yesterday:

Inclines. 2 sets, heavier than normal. Felt strong.
Dumbell inclines: 2 sets, slow and controlled
Flyes: 2 sets 12-15 ish reps

Ridiculously light dumbell curls. 3 x 15 ish maxed out around 30 lbs. Still feels great to do them.
Then 2-3 heavier sets for my left arm (over bench incline curls)

Pushdowns: 2 sets, heavy 10-12 reps
Cable skull crushers: 2 sets slow and controlled 8-10 reps
Cable dips: 2 sets max weight

Good day. Making progress. Well, at least not shrinking....

Well, I used one of those IR lamps on my posterior delt this morning and now my anterior is back to giving me grief right there at the upper portion of the bicep. Don't know if the light scared the pain to the front of my shoulder. Will try a couple of 20 minutes sessions on both sides tomorrow. The heat seems to penetrate deeper than a heating pad, but it's too early to tell if it is actually more effective.
Left arm is definitely weaker than the right arm right now, both in weight and reps. I had planned a different lift than what I'll post, but when my l. arm crapped out right at the beginning, I tried to roll with it and make do.
Got to get my lifting in more frequently. Feel fat and extra blobular today, but squats are coming up soon. Shoulders are next so we'll see how things go.

    RC exercises w/ bands

    Preacher curls- 2 w/u, Work1 - (L. arm)- 4 reps. (R. arm)-9 reps. Drop some weight. Work2- (L.arm)-7+ reps w/ 5 forced reps and slow 5 count neg. (R.arm)- 9 reps + 4 forced reps w/ slow 5 count neg.
    Seated CC- Work1- (L. arm)- 4 reps. (R.arm)-8 reps. Dropped to lighter bells. Work2- (L)- 9 reps. (R)- 9 reps.
CG cable curls- 7 slow steady reps.
Triceps pressdown w/ short straight handle- 2 w/u, Work1- 8 reps. Drop a little weight. Work2-9 reps. Drop a bit more weight. Work3- 6+ reps w/ a 10 count hold on partial rep.
    Close grip Smythe press- 3 w/u, Work1- 9 reps. Drop weight. Work2- 7 reps.

The preacher curls hurt a good bit for the left arm. Concentration curls and cable curls weren't too bad. Triceps pressdown went ok, but the close grip presses were really painful and light.

    49 minutes total.

Unfortunately, he had to get another surgery for the other leg... but sometimes it works out and he said he had to get the other even tho the prognosis was 80/20 good!
Hopefully yours will clear up he was forced back to work way to early which caused many more problems!

    What's up everyone!

Did too much again yesterday and was bed ridden from about 7pm on.

Kept it easy today. Laid out by the pool just to get out of the house.

Doc apt tomorrow. Interested on his thoughts

    Keep kicking ass here

At least you can work on your tan.

Remember you're young you're strong. This too shall pass. Slight detour. You'll be back on track soon. You got this.

Wife is out of town. Son is down for the night. Flipping between John Wick and the last Rambo. Life is good. Making me want to pull the the trigger on yet another tactical class. I dislike Keanu but the actual shooting practice he puts in make him bearable. He trains with live rounds.

Btw logging in every fucking time I go to a new page is pissing me off.

It does that sporadically for me as well, Cape. Mozilla is slightly better than Chrome for me, but I only am using the beta version of Mozilla for Android.

Well, despite what I feel was a half @ssed arm session last night, my arms are pretty sore tonight. Working on this shoulder some and think I will see how it goes tomorrow.
    Massage coming up Friday.

Thinking about hitting squats next instead of shoulders. That way the massage lady could give my back a good working over Friday and my shoulder might be a bit easier for her to work on.
Lunchtime for me right now: Steamed chicken, steamed leeks, and some sweet potato.
