    Biceps, forearms and triceps

I don't drink coffee at all but I put in my pre workout shake 3 teaspoons of the best and all I can say is fuking hell I was flying, I felt rage, I felt high, I felt like a fuking king just off 3 lots of coffee. I do tend to respond very well to anything I take which is a bonus so I knew this session was going to be hard but enjoyable for my insane attitude.

    Biceps
I started with seated alternative db curls
3 warm up sets and the blood was pumping already, I felt really strong and the mind control and stamina I had was second to none
1 working set to failure plus 2 drop sets on the last drop set my biceps were that pumped I couldn't even contract the bi at the top so I went down to halves then quarters until I couldn't move the weight - it felt wonderful and I felt very powerful even more stringer than normal.

    db preacher curls
2 feels sets which I took to my limit again, don't know why but my mind was telling me to kill myself even on the feels sets
1 working set to failure plus 3 forced reps, I use some serious weight and it looked like I was going to brake my arm off but the pain direct in my lower and middle biceps felt sweet, I love that pain.

    db hammer curls
3 sets straight to failure right down to halves and quarters. burnt like fuk
db wrist curls until my hand cramped up and had to drop the weight

    triceps
    lying db skull crushers
    2 feels set
1 working set heavier than normal because it felt easy, strict form and I destroyed them, one drop set at the end to finished those fukers off and my long head of my tricep was so pumped.

    straight bar push downs
2 feels sets again didn't hold back on the feels ets just took myself to the limit, don't know why but felt so string
1 working to failure plus 3 drops until my arms couldn't move, halves and quarters killed them

cable single push downs - done by focusing on pushing the hand outwards so the full contraction going on the out head
3 sets to failure until my triceps felt like concrete setting

I still feel like I am on one, need something to bring me back down off the coffee, you may laugh but I haven't had coffee in over 15 yrs so I am flying at this stage.

Love arms, love the size of huge big arms hanging off huge shoulders, I will not stop until I achieve super freaky size in every bodypart. I have injuries but they are getting better and I am getting stronger than ever. I am 260lbs and the water from the creatine is leaving my body and leaving a fair few veins which is good at my size. My muscle bellies are starting to increase in size due to the HIT and how I attack each body part, so that's all good. I am clean on zero gear, zero creatine and just my trt.

Sounds like an legendary lift, Marcus!!! Coffee hits me pretty hard also. If I drink more than a cup, I get so shaky that I could thread a sewing machine while it was running.

Has literally no effect on me lol. I find taurine can affect me if I take too much of it. How strong are you having your coffee?

I dropped 3 lots into my shake, instantly got a headache but I tend to like pain so that was ok for me and I needed more so I went straight to the gym. I was sweating like a euro's whore mother after working the street for a buck or two....

Whoa! And I thought I was having too much.

There was a fella in another thread who said he averages about 3 POTS a day! With that much, I don't know when he has time for water.

Aaaahhhhhhhhh! I feel like a fvcking beast! Just finished chest and hit A new PR on 3 of 5 movements.

Incline DB bench: 3 warm ups, 1 feel, 1 working 1 drop new pr and now only 1 set of DB's stand between me and the triple digits

Incline DB fly: 1 feel, 1 working nice and slow 1 drop new pr here as well

Incline hammer strength press: 1 feel, 1 working w RP. More reps than usual before RP

Decline hammer strength press: 1 working 2 drops

Machine dips: 1 feel, 1 working 2 drops

Waited through the rp, put one more rep up and it turned into pain. I think I've isolated out to my elbow.
Tried lowering the weight but it was there from the moment I pulled the weight. Racked it back up and called it off. Don't want to get hurt
Still seems to be there, more of a discomfort now though. I've pinpointed it to about the area the bicep attaches to the elbow area.
Going to regretfully skip arm/shoulder day today. I'll pick back up tomorrow (back day)

Anyone have an opinion on the pain/discomfort?

Had something similar, but most discomfort came with any curling motion and tri extensions. It was frustrating, but I stopped working bis/tris for about a month. Pain left. But, a dr. visit is a good idea if it doesn't go away with adequate rest.

Wouldn't do back. Bicep is secondary muscle for a back work out.

    Rest

Kel, over the years, compared to when you were in your 30s, then 40s, what adjustments have you made to your training? specifically towards injury-prevention?

A slow progression to HIT style training as well as training much less. I remember going from a 6 day, high volume routine to 4 for a matter of years then down to 3 for the past decade or so. The rest days in between work great for me and allow much more "life" in between work outs as well as more motivation. For many I guess squeezing it into three days may be too much but for me it simply works. If I ever need/want to insert cardio (please no) it's a great routine to add it to.

When it comes to poundage, etc., I still train very heavy, particularly with legs and back. But never heavy singles or crap like that. You won't build muscle with light weight. I say that as often I'll list some high reps for certain work outs. But trust me, it's a weight that would be debilitating to many. For chest I've never needed to go super heavy to get growth. I'm not shoulder dominant as many are with pressing movements so I feel the work real quickly. I've also learned to listen to my body far better as I've gotten older. It talks to ya, just listen.

And I've tweaked my wrist! Looks like some rest and healing is in order, and maybe some wrist wraps before hitting it again.
