This is what I preach all the way through this thread, this is intensity, this is how you go beyond whats normal, this is what it takes to make yourself into a monster. Do you see guys training like this near you? ??????if no then let you be the first one. I own the gym, I destroy the gym and I seriously work my body to its limit, you know what it does in return............grows thicker, bigger and ripped.

120 lb Australian was found decapitated, with his limbs tore from his torso stacked neatly in the trunk of a Ford Falcon. He had also been defecated on. Witnesses say a hulk like creature was seen leaving the scene.

    Marcus,

Question. Do you pretty much stay the same all year round, year after year, or do you fluctuate with your weight and bf%?

I don't know what's going on with me lately. I've been going crazy in the garage. I just started dead lifting a few months ago, so my deads have been very weak.

I woke up this morning with the intention of pulling 300lbs (yes I know it's weak, but my working sets have been at 225 lately).
So I warmed up, and weighted up.
300 came up so easy, I couldn't believe it. So I pulled it 3 more times. Failed on the 5th rep.

I mentioned yesterday my squats felt incredibly strong (comparably speaking).

Just a hypothesis, I've had a lot of trouble with my lower back. Lately I've been in no pain at all. I don't know if the deads have improved core strength and helped with the back, or if the back is finally healed so I can pull heavy. . Chicken or the egg, I don't care. It's working

No I fluctuate, over the last couple of years ive grown bigger in size and weight but with the added bit of bf, but when I add bf my muscles still out they don't really go smooth I have big bellies and they look even bigger its just my gut what starts to protrude but I am more or less carb cycling all the time its something what I am use to and its a part of me now. There is one thing what really rips muscle off me and that's not training, if I don't train I lose it quick and I mean quick so that's why I train like I do. I truly believe no on can match me I really believe that in every way, I am so fuking strong with excellent form no one can match me especially the intensity part of training, I will not give up when my muscle are screaming to me to stop, that's my cue to go to hell

I really think the deads are what's helping. My back has been feeling great. I don't normally go very heavy, stick to about 225 and pull as many as I can (never make it to 8), rp to finish the set then drop set to 155 usually and pull 8.

I just woke up yesterday feeling froggy. I wanted to pull 300. I squatted 305 last year before my back got down, so I knew I should be able to.

Side note that makes my completely irrelevant and totally not official 3 lift total 840lbs at 181. (235/305/300)

Speaking of powerlifting (where I gained my initial interest in lifting) there's a push pull contest in my city august 9th. I'm definitely going to watch, as I've never been to one.

Any reason I should sign up? I've benched 235 but not with a pause, probably only be able to push about 215, and maybe able to pull 315. Definitely won't win any trophies but it may be a worth while experience?

Sitting here having my morning coffee, fueling up, and getting my head right for leg day. It's still several hours away, but this is my Sunday ritual. Some go to church, others sleep in, but beneath a stack of iron is where I've come to find real peace.

sounds great. Just remember its key that when you have a bad back and your going to dead heavy keep perfect form. Its very easy to sacrifice form when single repping and that's when it's easiest to re-injure your self. Good luck

Just finished legs and they are fried! Did my normal leg extension pre exhaust, felt really good today so weight was up here and finished with one big working set with triple drop. Hobbled over to the leg press and made it through a light warmup set before a mountain of a man asked to work in. He turned out to be a trainer/ prep coach, and masters competitor. Having him there for forced reps and verbal support helped me blast out the reps with a lot more intensity than normal. That's where we parted ways, but I was pumped! Moved over to hack squats and blasted out my working set with an extra plate per side for 5 solid reps and 5 hands on knees forced reps. Had to take a short break before moving on to hamstrings. Tried some stiff leg deads but after a couple sets to feel it out the lower back said no go. Hit lying leg curls for 1 warm up, 2 working with double drop on the first and triple on the second, then 3 heavy straight sets of seated curls.

Great advice ^^. Another tip is do start your back workouts with a little abdominal work. It's a tremendous way to warm up and stabilize your core. I'd also suggest deadlifting at the end of your back work. Yes, your weight may be a bit lighter but you're warmed up which decreases chances for injury.

I should've been doing it since I started training, but in my early days, I neglected warming up properly. It makes such a big difference. I see guys in the gym all the time start with one quick set of bench press with the bar and then throw on 225 for 4-6 reps or so for the next set, then 275 for a 1RM for their last set.

Question: I've been doing 20 min hiit on my stationary bike 3 days/week. Do you guys see a problem when I do it after my workout? Am I sacrificing any gains? I eat about 30 later. Should I just do it on non-workout days? Thanks

    Tonight was back

Was fcking motivated today so went hard at it.

Started with close grip pull ups for warm up

Then into bb bent over rows hit a pb on that was in the fcking mood to move heavy ass iron. Then double drop by the second drop was goosed pathetic amount of reps lol was great back was pumping.

Then bb rack pulls did two feeler sets as I wanted to hit a heavier weight for me. Was great though had motivation from the idiot in the gym that thinks he is massive staring so helped me move the weight. I also ripped a calus clean off my hand which was epic lol

Then db rows, was really going hard by this stage swaet pouring outta me and was pushing hard through the pain.

Then close grip lat pull down, had leroy from yates blood and guts screaming in my mind to squeeze and ****ing squeeze some more.

Then cardio was a savage session tonight. Feeding at the mo

Thanks clarky. I know this info is all over the web. Just wanted opinions of ppl I trust!
And if there's any chance of minimizing my small gains I'll just do it on non-workout days. No problem with that.

I always do 40 minutes low to moderate intensity cardio post-workout. This doesn't make me lose gains or sacrifice any muscle. The whole "30 minute windows" thing is retarded IMO.
