Rest day today, feeling a bit run down so I opted out of cardio for today. Going to eat, then eat some more, ah hell, I might even eat some more after that. I have to make up for the weekend where I missed a few meals, my weight was 271 this morning so I need to get those few pounds back.

I'm cheap entertainment if nothing else. It's one of the best lines from one of my favorite movies, "She's Out of My League." I looked for the clip to insert it but couldn't find it, dammit.

Not trained for 3 days now due to my shoulder and also work schedule. I really don't feel good mentally i have this fire inside of me which i cant turn off. When i train i do not waste one minute in the gym its all about recruiting every fuking fiber possible with as much force and intensity as i can but my aging body just isn't allowing me to do this. One of us is going to have to break!!

Is it the end of my sheer size and structure, should i except losing a few lbs and training different for a while see if that help. The only way i can hold onto my size is through my diet and the way i train, as soon as one of these reduces my size compensates. I'm rolling fuk out of my shoulder which is painful but nice but i am sure the problem with it not repairing like i want it to is how i sleep but i find it hard sleeping on my back, i snore like a bear with a cold and its not good for my little lady next to me.

Not touched gear since last year i think its a few months back thinking i may get some deca to help things along but when i go on gear my strength is insane and with my training mentality that's not good for my RC.

    Mrs Marcus session last night

All done with a Kettle bell 10kg

4 sets of 15 rep - kettle bell swings
4 sets of 15 reps wide stance kettle bell squats to the floor
3 sets of 10 reps backward lunges with kettle bell
3 sets of 10 reps stiff leg dead lifts with KB against the wall
2 sets of one legged KB squats 8 reps - this nearly killed her

Rest period in between sets was around 30 seconds

Muscle groups targeted - glutes, hams, quads, core and lower back...oh and was also an excellent cardio session.

Nice post. Thx Marcus!!! I haven't worked out with kettle balls.

Still sick. The sinus crap came back. I had 5 decent days in the last 6 weeks. Tired of not feeling 100%. Haven't had a decent workout in over a month. Feeling loose and hate that!

What builds the muscle keeps the muscle thats something that always rings in my mind when someone mentions a different way of training to me in the gym.

From studying pics of Mentzer and Yates they really are beasts the density of their muscle is insane and the thickness and muscle bellies are other worldly its insane.

My point being Marcus what kind of training would you do instead hiit hasn't left you down over these many years of training maybe use pre exhaust more to help your shoulder recover or supersetting to help with using lighter weight.

I could be compeltely missing the point but they are just my ideas from when you helped me from the begining and what you told me.

For example I am the lightest Ive been in 3 years if not more at 15st 2lbs or 96ish kg but I look and feel better than I ever have done in well ever and its all down to diet and hiit imo

Dammit! This weather is killing me. Rest days over the weekend with plans of hitting the gym on Monday, but then an ice storm hit and shut the county down. Now it's snowing again which it probably gonna end the week for me.

I am pre exhausting delts and shoulders with supersets sometimes. Don't worry i am just moaning because I'm pissed off with it. You got me there by the saying i always say lol lol.....what my next plan is to reduce weight but do more time under tension training pre exhaust and see if i can keep the intensity high but reduce the weight with compromising the intensity. I may even stop shoulder pressing for a bit and just do laterals and bent overs and just db press for chest see how things go from that but my shoulder issues come on from sleeping for long periods of time with my arm up, my bicep acts as my pillow and its something what ive done for yrs so its hard to get out of this routine but will have to try hard.

LEgs today, missed them lst week so I killed them today.

weighed myself today also first time in awhile 194.5#....not bad

Free weight squats 2 warms, 2 feels, ( 2nd feel was suppose to be working bu felt I could do more) working got 305# x 4 (no spot so stopped there) 2 drops. Saw stars and felt dizzy after I was done. Sat for a minute before continuing.

    Stiff Deads 2 working

    Elevated smith lunges 2 working

Extensions 1 feel, 2 working 2 drops (quads were on fire....very painful after this.)

Lying curls 2 working was done after this, Didn't have calves left in me.

But went to do some stretches after and banged out some abs.

Question, when doing abs (usually any type of crunch...never on hanging legs raise) my lower ab where the v ends always cramps. And I can actually feel a not....almost lie hernia. Is this just a muscle cramp or what?

Every night, and I mean every night, I sleep on my right arm and when I wake up it's numb from the shoulder down. No residual issues from it but damn, it's annoying. Funny too as when my alarm goes off it's like a comedy show trying to get up and shut it off.

Ouch that must be a right pain.

Now you mention it. I was the same when I woke up went to push myself off the bed got about an inch off the bed then smack into the bed you know that half awake half asleep daze you are in when you wake up I was like that before realising my arms where dead was a bit strange.

That's pretty much what I done for a long time now.

Yep started deca on 3rd of this month and already my joints feel heaps better, great drug!.

Giving myself 8 more weeks of putting on size, ive not been lean since start of 2013, except for my mini cut for my holiday last year where i dropped 10-11kg. I will be glad when this gaining size period is over tbh. Its a lot of effort, cooking and cleaning all the time, eating constantly, the bloat and lerthagy etc, i prefer dieting down honestly as i use stims that suppress my appetite and make me feel good haha! Anyways up to about 109kg atm.
