Do you bulk on a carb cycling approach?
Is your normal diet a carb cycle maintenance?
How long have you ran a maintenance diet before you start bulking?
8 weeks into test only cycle
Carbs: potatoes, rice, oats, plain Greek yogurt, milk, tortilla.
    Increased cals over 3-4 weeks.
No refeeds during bulk, just used that as an example.
I normally carb cycle for maintenance and cutting.(high, mid, low, high, mid, low)
I slowly cut for 8 months and then maintained for 8 months before this bulk.

My bulk process has always been just add calories and adjust every few weeks, then maintain it for several months. However this is my first bulk with supraphysiological test, been on TRT for a few years.

I carb cycled for a few weeks near the beginning of this bulk, but couldn't decide if I liked it or not. So I've just been at about a 500-700 surplus. I am normally a big fan of cycling carbs, just not much experience with it bulking.

    Legs tonight

    Leg press

    Leg extensions

    Leg curls

Each set was to failure from set one with pause reps. Legs are so tight almost can't walk the treadmill and was on the verge of getting sick. I made it though and liked it

    Legs tonight as well!

Warmed up super setting leg extensions and leg curls
Moved over and did some heavy squats
Finished up the legs with some heavy leg press
Hit calves afterwards - seated selectorize & seated plate loaded.
Walking 'normal' will be a challenge the next few days.

Did my first true workout using the principles of HIT. Did shoulders and Triceps today

shoulder machine press 2 feel sets 1 work set to failure
Lateral Press 2 feel sets 1 work set to failure
Front Raises 1 work set to failure

SHrugs 2 feel sets 1 work set to failure

pressdowns 2 feel sets 1 work set to failure
close grip barbell 2 work sets to failure

The workout was tough but I did not leave the gym with the same pump I have had from using higher reps. Obviously I didn't do something right so I guess it's back to the drawing board. Got Back tomorrow

Bailed on cardio today, I felt I needed the rest more, my rc and chest muscles are destroyed, will be fun trying to work today. Legs tomorrow, going to hit it hard, starting to see some quad separation, now to make them thicker.

I adjusted my adex down, will do .25mg at bed time every night. I am just so worried about going too low and the gyno flaring up again. Still on 40mg/day of nolva so the nips should be protected. I went to the doc for a scipt of cialis, fuk that shit is expensive and not covered, $77 for 4 pills. No thanks, too rich for my blood, I will be looking into some underground shit to compare the cost to.

Traps and rear delta are so sore from 2 days ago, even though it was a pull back session . Finishing off with d'bell shrugs from the sides after the b'bell shrugs really seems to work well right now. Got some chores to address before the snow gets to us this evening but am planning to hit back tonight.

If you have been carb cycling for maintenance and then go into a bulk and your carb sensitive you will need to bulk off a carb cycling approach which I've described in the reply above with my repost. Also if this your first time cycling make sure your taking an AI and if you are make sure its the correct dose and pharm grade IMHO, alot of the research sites are complete garbage except AR-R . You have the answers so listen and watch your body if your putting on bf then slow down the cals and don't go over 300-500 over maintenance until your body starts responding and then adjust accordingly. If its water weight you need to make sure your E is in control and watch your sodium intake. You also need to work off a maintenance diet what's been established for at least 8 weeks the longer they better, that means your weight doesn't increase or decrease. Please read my repost above

So big turn around today. I did back today, second session of HIT.

Lat Pull-down 3 feel set 2 work with 2 drops

Close grip pull down 1 feel 2 work with 2 drops
Barbell Rows 3 sets of 6 to 8 reps to failure
One arm Hammer strength rows 1 feel set 2 work 2 drops
Rows 2 feel 2 work with 2 drop

Today I felt it. My back had a huge pump today. It's like Marcus said, you have to experiment with different ranges to find the one yet fits you with HIT. I saw that adding another work set was just what I needed.

Tonight was back serious session was on my own so hammered through it faster than normal.

Started with yates style rows warms ups etc. Hit a heavy 2 set push one drop inbetween sets streching too. Felt great blood was flowing into the muscles hard.

Hammerstrength plate loaded pull downs did single arm for each set heavy and controlled. Felt great again blood was pumping hard.

Seated hammer strength rows same reps and pushed through the pain hard too.

Then onto close grip yates style lat pull downs these were serious felt great.

Hypers to finish was on fire and home to refeed and chill

Decided to move back to strength training, on the bench anyways.

Got my 30 th birthday coming in October. I've decided I want to bench 300lb before that day.

Following 5/3/1 (the original), implementing drop sets after the scheduled lifts.

We'll see. I've got quite a ways to go

On another note, had my annual Dr visit earlier this week.

Nurse took my weight and vitals, walked me into the Dr. First thing, doc says "you look great, you've lost some weight! "
I had a slightly confused look, he took a glance at my chart and noticed I'd actually gained 8 lbs. He then complimented my gains (and losses).

That was a pretty cool feeling

    Legs today, hit it hard.

Extensions to warm up the knees: 3 sets, tight squeeze at the top, hit the stack on the final set trying to pound in some separation.

Squats: 2 warm, 1 feel, 1 working 1 drop. Keeping the weight down trying to get deeper and really feel the quads contract. Went to 365 but couldn't go as deep as I did on my feel set at 315. Low back has been a tad tight and sore lately.

Press: 3 feel, 1 working. Stopped at 10 a side trying to get deep and feel the muscles work. My knee has been a bit sore so just trying to work it in slowly.

Curl: 3 working sets for reps and burn, these aggravate my knee as well so I don't go heavy.

Stand calf: 4 working sets with deep stretch and hard contraction, calves were on fire.

Flexed arm hang leg raises: 3 sets

Dip rack side knee raises: 3 sets

Bike for 10 min to cool down and flush the legs.

Workout was good, really felt good on my 315 set of squats, got to parallel as far as I could tell and my back felt good there. Leg press felt good, my knee didn't act up and I could feel that hot tingly feeling in my quads, love that feeling. Got a nice calf pump too, starting to get some nice shape and split in there, will look awesome once I bring the bf down.

Weight was up a bit to 273, mostly water but I did try to eat a bit more yesterday, and will again today. Shoulders tomorrow, going to pound them hard, try to do more of the hit style. Been adapting it into my routine in a modified way, I will slowly convert to it in a more true sense eventually.

I will probably watch it online. I been watching his videos lately before going to the gym. I used some of his lifts on my lady shoulder day and my shoulder pump was insane
