Doing well. Hot here - kills my appetite, but that's a good thing. Keeping up with cardio, weights, sleep, etc.

We have about 2 weeks left in the competition and I'm wracked with anxiety and feeling pretty sh!tty. I need to learn to pose and take pics, and I really should do the pre-contest tricks (and I dont even know what they are- you know, like water, carbs, salt intake stuff). Is anyone else feeling overwhelmed or just not up to it? I don't wanna spend the time practicing posing and figuring out how to take a good pic

Summer it's been mild here so far, windy these days so it gets cool by evening/night. Appetite and the rest are good. Scarfed down 1.1 lbs turkey 1.1 lbs potatoes both as dry weight last night no prob. Well in fact I feel in trouble if not getting to eat timely.

Will work back tonight while watching everything else doing chest, I'll do that tomorrow with more peace. I can't focus if doing chest on Monday with so many people doing the same around me, always minding them if f.ex I'm doing flies any wrong step from them and I'll torn my shoulders or something, so back be it.

Keeping it basic, avoiding too many exercises/sets/reps and focusing on intensity instead, want to add some shin deads at the end.

Im terrible at posing also. Feel like it would be cheating to improve now lol

Im not going to change much from what im doing now in the final week. Going 100ish grams of carbs per day up till the day before photos then hit the carbs that day. Im not going to do anything different with water i dont think. But generally its drink alot of water then slowly cut down then drink alot before photos. Im not sure of the ins and outs of it.

Wouldn't worry about it. Youre doing great

I'm not worried one bit about the comp, I only do it for motivation. I'm on a long journey that I started little over a year ago.

I'll be avoiding any sugar load the weekend I'm going to take final pics, maybe a bit of AI a couple days earlier, that's all.

In for back in an hr, wish me cramping and vomiting from the intensity.

If you drink a lot of water before the pics you will ruin the definition .

Session was not my best, couldn't focus on intensity. Took me a while to properly warm up and skewed the pulldowns movements, went better with the rest

    Pullovers (wu)

    V-grip pulldown
    Wide grip pulldown
    Seated row
    Seated high/rears row

    hypers
    deads, Romanian style
    lying leg curs

Oh deadlift, my old friend. Back felt much more solid than last time I did them (April), so whatever I've done in the meanwhile has been good in that department already. Grip was ok till 80kg, 100kg and on need straps, didn't bring them cause didn't plan to go any heavier today, one step at a time.

Feeling in good mood atm, time for (lot of) food. Breast, ehm, chest tomorrow.

Today I've been told I lift like a powerlifter, not even sure what that means, just trying to apply what I've learned from the vets here.

And oh, this guy that I was small talking whit couldn't believe I've been training for as short as three months. He was flabbergasted. Felt bad cause myself I know I'm a bit, well, "enhanced". But he seems to have got some cycles under his belt as well...

Really posing is 75% of it. You hide your weaknesses and highlight your strengths. I bend over too far and my loose skin shows. I do not do the conventional most muscular for that same reason. I need to lean back to stretch the skin or place an arm in front of my abs. Little things like that make a big difference. I do not think that I have used the same exact pose twice. I am by no means an expert. Cape knows his shit!

Aww man you forgot the trick I mentioned earlier in the thread. When this happens, you stumble and fall face in her butt, and accidently grab her hips for support...

You got anything to advise in the straps department? I mean lifting straps not straps on. The ones I got feel weird, so thick I can't manage to tighten them around the bar, and there's been reports of breakage under load from users.

I don't like straps they take away grip training. But for barbell rows I need them because the bar rotates so much the movement sucks without them. I use eleiko pulling straps, the leather ones. They won't break and they form an excellent grip.

I'm basically training grip only on back day. I swear I only managed to get my lats sore only once, it's just about those last reps where grip takes the toll and fails first. Even with the pulldowns it's a problem, and can't use straps on that kind of bar or parallel grip.

Actually my grip is pretty strong already but something is not functioning alright atm (you know what kind of issues I have), it's different every day.

I was thinking leather straps indeed. No idea where to get eleiko but found this EU store of rogue brand stuff - https://www.rogueeurope.eu/lifting-s...lifting-straps

What about those loop straps? Easy and fast to apply might use them on the pulldowns.

I had a bodybuilder once tell me that those are the best straps because they lock on and you do not need to worry about the grip.
I have never used them myself because I use wimpy weights. LOL

It's mostly the easiness of applying them that intrigues me wrapping the regular straps bothers me big time, and I can also use those looped ones on the pulldowns, I could get back day on another level.

Eddie Hall apparently use that brand 600kg rating lol
