Exactly. The weighted bar stabilizes you. Find the position that works so tweak it to suit. You'll like this addition to your repertoire.

    Kel,

Have you ever used the smith for seated French curls w/the long bar... At first I was thinkin that's what you were doing but I see it's much more like an overhead ext... Just curious to see what else you've come up with down in your Dungeon!

Arms got it good yesterday! Thinkin of doing legs a lil later - every 5 days... See if that'll help gettin these to grow more

No I have not tried that. But I'm always thinking between sets how to improvise something. Keeps me from getting to bored.

That ex was always one of my favorites for tris(either seated French curls or w/a DB) but my shoulder prevents me from doing them - but I can get the ROM lying down - just loved them in the seated position

Small band but kind of cool.
Stoner rock is just fcking class. Opeth is a bit heavy for me used be big into the death metal but got bored of the high speed bpm haha.

Yeh Clutch are getting up there with Pantera as one of my fav bands nothing that I have listened to em has been bad tbh.

Hes amazing all right. Have his greatest hits and never get bored of listening to it.

ZZ Top played a Rory Gallagher song when they where in my town. Which was brilliant.

    Ok back from surgeon.

Good news...I do not "yet" meet the requirements for surgery.

Bad news is a few things...he added another medicine to my regimen. Told me I will have open heart surgery sometime in my life. :/

Surgeon actually spoke of this issue as an "aneurism" and not just an enlarged aorta.

I have to get a CAT scan done next week to confirm they measured the aorta right during the ECO. and also a CAt scan done in 3 months, 6 months, 9months, 1 year and will see if we continue yearly or every 2 years.

He confirmed that its from heavy lifting and gave me a study on how much the blood pressure rises during heavy lifting. I will try to find a link or just take a pic of the study he gave me.

Study said your BP hits 480/350 at time of heavy liftin.

So now my plan is to cut back...basically like a pull back maybe? And im not sure how to do this....obviously cut weight back drastically but should I still go beyond failure???

He said I can still work out and be "buff" (his words) just don't go heavy.

Well thought I would give u guys an update.

And ZZtop used to be one of my top bands as a kid.....cousin used to bodyguard for them lol

Sorry about the heart surgery in the future, Sfla! At least you can lift -

I think you can make great gains on a pullback!! For me I use straight sets(1-2w - and if I can pre exhaust I usually wil) and go to true positive failure but not beyond failure protocols on my pull backs... That's all I can say about it as each person seems to have a lil tweak to what they like and can handle - I need that time to help w/my shoulder so pre exhausting makes most sense for me as it exhausts my pressing b4 I get there!

That's some wicked high BP if that's what it rises to - I think I can actually feel it(especially on leg day) lmao

GL brother looks like it went better than it could have

You can train me any day! I think u would be great not that typical trainer who doesn't care and only wants to train ppl who are already in shape, can't offer any nutritional advice, blah blah.

You r gonna fall in love....and marry one of your clients. U heard it here first.

    Congrats!

So my daughter returns home tomorrow for on her month long vacation with her grandparents. It'll be the first time I see my father in quite a bit - he'll be on the plane with her and then staying with me for a few weeks. Boy is he in for a shock lol.

Anyways..... My daughter is just an angel. She never gives me a hard time and I couldn't ask for anything more. She was great while with her grandparents and they told me I really did a great job with her.

Soooooo..... I wanted to surprise her with a new bed, mattress, and bed set. I sweat my ass off building it today but got it done :-)

Omg. This is sooooo sweet. Wow. She's gonna be thrilled.

Are u preparing her for the "dethroning" when the second baby princess arrives. It could be uncomfortable for Cinderella....just sayin. Little girls are so moody according to my gf. Lol

Well that's sweet. Never mind Kelkel.

I have never had a trainer other then the help I get virtually here. I've thought about hiring a trainer once. He was really good. His clients, mostly females, adored his abuse. He made these women workout unconventionally. Some stuff was gimmicky but most hard core basic movements. HIIT. When the gym folded, he found himself a better paying job at a high end gym.
