Came close to losing the thumb today! Checking a hose on the forklift and actually got it into the radiator fan. Luckily I had gloves on and it barely broke skin, but it beat the knuckle up pretty good. Thankfully tomorrow is back day and I don't use my thumbs much on pulling movements.

Weird. Sounds like you broke down some sticky/scarred tissue and got it sliding again??? Definitely glad to hear that it's causing you no grief.

Headed to lift now and then get ready for work.

Something like this happened to my father. He ha surgery on his shoulder and had half the ball replaced. His range of motion went to shit which was actually supposed to improve.

About 8 months later he was on a scissor lift and was between two I-beams. Someone accidentally sent the lift forward and he only had a foot between the railing on the scissor lift and the I-beam. His reaction was to fall backwards - the railing held him up and he turned his head to the side so it wouldn't get ripped off. His arm on his bad shoulder side went up and behind the I-beam. As the lift went forward his arm went back. He heard a loud pop in his shoulder and before he knew it - the pain was gone and his range of motion was almost 100%

The doc says it was a blessing in disguise. Everything is okay

    Chest and arms today.

The entire interior walls are mirrors, kinda weird at first but getting used to it. Actually looked at myself during sets on biceps, jeez I wish my arms were that big and veiny all the time.

    One day. .

I get cold chills. Be careful, Dpyle. Our hands are our money. Years ago I saw a friend wire brushing the OD of a worm gear with gloves on. Brush grabbed the glove and took a finger with it.

Didn't mean to sidetrack the thread, but you guys in fabrication/mechanical trades know what I mean about being careful.

    Biceps stretch
    Seated d'bell curls-2 w/u, Work-1.5, drop, 1.5, drop, 3
    Incline d'bell curls-1 w/u, Work-2,drop, 2.5-3-2-1 partial rep
    Bent over concentration curl-Work-4,drop, 2, -3 cheats w/slow neg.
    Seated hammer curl-1 w/u, Work-1.5,drop, 2.5-1.5-1.5-fail
    Triceps press down w/rope- 2 w/u, Work-3,drop,3,drop, 3-2.5
    D'bell skullcrushers- 1 w/u, Work-4, drop, 5-1.5
    Close grip Smith press-1 w/u, Work-4-2

I can tell strength is down, but that's my fault due to the back thing/ being inconsistent. Back seems fine. Only felt a slight twinge during the CCs. Arms have a decent pump according to the wife. No peaks, but they're hanging nicely. I'll get those peaks one day. There's just so much that I want to improve.
Dr. appointment tomorrow. I think she'll be pleased with my progress....sure hope she is.

This morning still no pain just muscular soreness from the workout. I do have restricted range since my RC injury and I haven't tried to see if that's any better yet but will do when I go to the gym to do chest. I'm not sure what it was but when I think back I was in a position were my range is restricted so you never know.

Like the workout a lot If your peak is suffering try and hold the hanging concentration curl at contraction for a count of 2 and squeeze as hard as you can, you may not be able to do as many reps so the weight may have to be adjusted but give it a try, also if you have a low pulley try them bent over so the tension is constant and when you start to fail help yourself with your other hand but hold the contrcatio0n for a count of 2. Welcome to the burn and more pain lol let me know how it feels

Good job you had your gloves on otherwise could be a different story.

Thanks, Marcus! I've gotten some excellent help/input on laying out my lifts. I'm going to add these to my notebook for next arm session. I do have a low pulley and a decent handle for concentration curls. Just have to get my arse inside the Smith machine and find my postition.
    Yes....more burn and more pain.

Ok guys...been awhile since I've posted here. I'm always reading the thread. Just stepped back for a while to read and learn more.

Finished a cycle and pct recently. Actually about coming to about 8 weeks off pct. And the thing is I'm getting stronger still. I have gained some unwanted fat. PCT did take a toll on me and diet went down some. But the training has been intense and adding weight every day/week to my lifts.

Been asking for spots more recently and getting looks..."like r u sure" lol. Had a guy tell me when I just wanted a spot for a lift off for db shoulder press. Had 90s just wanted to make sure I got them up...so I asked him to spot. He told me too much weight and am I sure I wanna do this. I laughed and said yeah...u don't need to stand there whole time. So he tapped my elbows for.me...I got them up and banged out 5...then dropped two more sets after. When I was done he nodded at me. "Kinda like damn kid" lol.

Hitting 300+ on squats now for 6+ reps. And had 16 plates yesterday on press for 10. 260 on bench for same. Today hit 280 on decline for 8.

I owe it all to this training style. I'm 5-9 and about 192 any given day. Bf has risen like I said diet fell off a bit. Here is a pic from yesterday. My back has blown up but from the added bf I do not have the separation yet. But I will get there.

Just wanted to update....and as many have done in this thread...say thank you to everyone on here.

Had the Dr. appointment today. Everything went well. She was pleased and impressed with the weight loss and commented that I look thinner, but much broader. I won't go into my TRT. It is poor, but due to a couple of health issues, it is the best I can do for now. I will say the Dr. improved it.
Gave her a brief rundown of my diet and lifting routine... she said it was nice to see people still knew how to work hard, lose weight, and build strength properly.
She asked about any aches and pains. I mentioned about "flossing" my elbow and she knew exactly what I meant. Thought it was great and said to reserve the Nsaids for use whenever the flossing didn't provide sufficient relief and limit them.to 10-14 days use if possible.
Also, I bought up the lower back issue. Told her I used the Flexerils and Nsaids when necessary and the wife had been rolling my back with a baseball. She felt of my lower back and I asked her if she thought some deep tissue work would be useful. She said "Definitely" and gave me the name/contact info of a girl she recommends. She did warn me that the girl is pretty tough, so I believe I'll setup an appointment in the near future.
Overall, the Dr. was impressed! On my way out, I overheard one of the nurses talking to another nurse. It seems that were impressed with my appearance on some level. H-ll, I'll be 50 next month...I'm happy.

Smashed chest and Tri's tonight, Great pump!

Yesterday marked 5 weeks with Test cyp, strength coming in nice.

Waist is about .5", more of the smaller veins showing when I'm getting super lean and weight up about 5lbs from day 1.

My flat DB Bench is up 5 reps which brings me to 11 in a working set with max DBs at my gym.

More pre-exhaust in my future or find a gym with heavier DBs which I'm stoked about.

    Back tomorrow!

What are you all hitting on Friday?

Planning to get in shoulders tomorrow, Drew. Got to swing by the Dr. office when I get off of work, then get new tires put on the truck, and haul off garbage. REALLY hoping that this will be a 3 day weekend, but still have my doubts.
    Congrats on outgrowing the d'bells.

Was going to do shoulders today guy's but i don't know i've no pain now so kinda don't want to fvck it up. I was thinking light weight high reps just for the now

I'd go by how you feel as your session progresses, Clarky. Hit some lighter high rep sets and if all feels well, maybe drop it into a lower gear for a little more weight w/ less reps???Main thing is it sounds like your shoulder is easing up on the pain. Glad to hear it. Try to keep it heading in that direction.

No problem, Clarky...just hope your shoulder gets right for you. Some of the other guys may have a better solution.

Clarky - mind posting that chest routine? Just curious. What was your method to target upper chest.

Diet does take some getting used to amd by far the most disciplined task ahead of you.

    Leg day.

    Legs today.

I'm afraid I may have a hernia. I never have problems except in the squats and deadlifts.i get a burning pain in my lower left abdominal area. Only deep in the squat or right off the ground with deads.

Leg press didn't bother me. So I'll stick to that and try rack pulls on back day. I'm not having surgery.

Thats sh*t hawk you defo sure it's a hernia ? and not some sort of muscle strain. I don't know much about these hawk the guys will chip in for sure.

On a side note delts for me today in about half hour going to do light weight high rep then as AG said if all's ok up the weight a little still no pain from it so thats good.

Ok guys did delts went great did some stretching & RC ex and side cable raises to warm them up. I did 5 sets 20-25 rep each side light weight and i kid you not the last two sets the burm was mad never had it this bad before it was great so then i did

Db side raises 1 working 1 drop

    Front raises 1 working DD

Rear delts Cable reverse fly 1 working 1 drop

Shrugs i did a few sets to warn them up then

    Smith shrugs 1 working DD

Db side raises were lighter than i usually do but i got a great burn i suppose you could say it was more of a pre ex than a warm up. Every ex was down to half reps no pain at all so very happy.
I never did shoulder press because it was going good so i did not want to fvck it up.
