Feel sets are just to get you warm and help determine what your working weight will be. You don't need one working then one heavy. They should be one and the same..The goal is to expend all your energy and effort on your most important set. It's where you get your bang for your buck. To me, anything other than a balls to the wall set is either a warm up or feel set on my way to my working/heavy set. Don't let the terminology get ya.

Amount of sets. On compounds I never do more than two. Just depends how I feel. Review my workout posted a little while ago and fire back with any questions.

I have been training like this just after I ran across this thread. I don't think I have the whole mind set down 100% yet, the reference you made to cape about getting slapped in the face right before a set really put it into perspective! The results I'm getting are great compared to how I used to train. I also haven't been able to work out as much as I would have liked to for the past few months and amazingly I haven't lost much size or strength. I attribute that to the hit style training. Thanks again guys !

    $12 bought me:

    - 1/2 chicken
    - 1/2 rack pork ribs
    - 3 cups of yellow rice
    - 3 cups of fries

I ate about 2 cups of rice all but 2 ribs and almost all of the half chicken. Had to pick on the fries lmao

Has anyone ever gone to a Korean BBQ ? The center of the table has hot coals they cook over. You order all kinds of things like short ribs chicken steak squid. Ahh and the Kim Chi. Fantastic. With a a little unfiltered cold Sake.

It was a great night in the gym, and Marcus said to share occasionally.
Thanks to my increased intensity and focus, as you're teaching me, I was finally able to make progress! It was a crappy day at work, and I took it all out on the iron.
I know how you feel about 1RM's, but please remember that I am trying to get back my strength AND size, so I've been starting with powerlifting sets before moving on to true bodybuilding.

Finally got back to 125 on bench for 3 sets of singles, (I've been missing the 125 for several weeks straight - so this was a big improvement) then settled in for 5 sets of 4 with 105. This IS going to go up! No laughing....

Incline hammer press; 2 warm ups, then 2 all-out sets, the last one being a triple drop set. Really went for a big stretch at the bottom, and a hard squeeze at the top of all reps. Of the whole night, this drop set really fatigued me the most.

Flat DB; 2 feel sets, then one straight set to failure, then RP where I got another 3 reps

Decline BB press; it didn't take much weight on this one to fry my chest, 2 sets to failure. True failure - where they had to take the bar at the end.

Honest - I thank you all for your guidance! I sort of "hear" your advice when I'm in the gym. I train alone, so at least your words are with me. And right now it's still hard to hold my cell phone to my ear, so it must have been done right!
    Have a good night y'all.

Should be starting to kick in now. That's a pretty big dose of test. Have you noticed a lot of strength with it yet? Newb with deca so I have no clue what it does besides lube your joints up. Week 8 for me on test E and I noticed size this week. I gained 5lbs this week, sadly I believe some of it was in my belly. Lot of comments on my arms this week though, even had one lady touch em lmao. Interested in following your progress with it.

By the way I know you know all this stuff just making conversation buddy

    Awesome to read this.

On another note, it's amazing what a week off can do to your body....well 5 days, but close enough. Chest/tris stronger than ever. PRs for every exercise. In/out in 45 mins.

1.5g of test is a nice dosage for the experienced guy IMO. I loved it..... I didn't run anything else with it tho. I'm not goin crazy yet..... Just gettin back into the swing of things. Test is at 800 mg right now...... Can't complain. I feel good, I'm making progress, and my body is getting back to where it was.

I plan to up it in the new year. Probably 1600 (doses 200mg/ml) and run the anadrol /dbol combo 4 weeks on, 4 off, 4 on

For me it depends on how long I've been on. I'm back after over a year with no aas so 800mgs may have been a bit high to come back on. But I got back in the gym before starting - got passed the pains from working out again and then went for it.

I probably won't drop below 800 unless I'm running Trt dosages.

Don't fool yourself tho..... You can make progress on those dosages. No sense in jumping into a higher dose than you need unnecessarily.

That seems to be the consensus. It's my first run and pre scares me a little.
    Timing is everything with that.

Funny you say that, because I do the same thing. I'll be prepping my mind for what I'm going to do next and thinking about all of the posts I've read that day here. Once in awhile (odten actually), I'll change something or add some new twist or try something new all together - because of something I read here.
