It did a job. Probably ran it for 6 weeks or so. It let me continue doing a HIT style without burning out. If I explain how I lifted more weight - normally my flat chest work comes after incline. If I train flat work on its own day I move 10% more weight! for more reps, if I did it on its own day. Same for other bodyparts too.
I know we aren't 'weightlifters' per se and, I never felt the full fatigue that comes with blasting a whole bodypart in one session, but yes I felt it effective. I feel I can cycle it with my normal routine for the greater good.NO SOURCES GIVEN

Could be. When your immune system is fighting hard, you need rest anyways. Adding our kind of muscle destruction to that already taxed system is probably just going to over tax your body and make the immune response and the muscle building both less effective. I'd take a week off. You won't shrink. It takes a lot longer than a week for conditioning to be affected. You could probably use the recuperation time.
One of the things I used to do when I was younger that I wish I hadn't was get obsessed about gym time. Like 'omg I haven't been to the gym in 2 days! I'm shrinking! I'm going to need to work twice as hard next week to gain back the shrinkage!' And it would stress me out big time. That is obsessed thinking. It's absolutely false. A few days off is beneficial and necessary imo now. It took about 4 to 5 years for my strength to fade when I took that decade long break that I took. The size went within a year but not the strength. It took nearly 10 years for fit to turn into fat. Point is, a week off can be beneficial and certainly won't send a person backwards.
I don't know if you have the same obsession that I mentioned above or not, I'm just throwing it out there because its a universal disease all hardcore bodybuilders seen to have at some point in their lives.
December 8th marks 90 days since my last shot. I'm just now starting to get the fire back. I think I'm further along natty road than you if I remember correctly? I have only been training 3 days per week on average. Every other-other day lol. I'm still seeing changes so listening to my inner voice is correct. I'm sure yours is correct for you as well. don't let your conscious mind fvck with you. If you feel you need another day of rest to recuperate, take it.

Nobody in here would call bs on you. I've seen some skinny dudes put up incredible weight, and youre not skinny. It would not surprise me if you said you work with 900 for reps on squats. Well, maybe, but I would take you at your word. Lol. And I'd ask when I can come watch.

Sometimes I'll go in just to get a pump. Spend a half hour or less doing high rep, r1 set IE squats, lunges, bench, shoulder press, curls, dips, then call it a day. Sort of an all over stimulation. Feels good and it shuts that nagging mindfvk up telling you 'must not skip, must not skip!' Because you trained. My endurance comes back a bit when I've been off for a few months but recovery time will always be longer off cycle. I hate it too but its necessary. Just think about how much more you'll get out of the next one due to this down time. Being on full time is not only unhealthy, it plateaus and you have to keep increasing the dose to continue growing. Even fighters get time in the corner. They wouldn't last 10 minutes without that periodic break.

225 and skinny lol, what a feeling. Goes to show you that weight isn't as important as we may think sometimes its the appearance. Ive seen guys that went 210-215 that look 270. not in person but in pics. Look at Anth Bailes. guy is insane.Attachment 146954

If juice made us taller I'd easily be over seven feet lol. I don't know why being called skinny or thin should bother anyone really. Consider the source. In a world where the majority of people in developed nations are obese it should come as no surprise. Lean and skinny are not synonymous but they don't know that.
Edit: sorry about the typos. Fixed. My phone butchered this post.Last edited by Java Man; 12-14-2013 at 06:51 PM.

Absolutely. Another big mistake I used to make. Not giving myself enough time to repair. I have been training 1 on, 2 off. Still getting good results. I think it all depends on how much damage we do on that on day.
If he's thinking what I was thinking, he's referring to the word 'easily'.

Ugh I'm sorry to see that post immortalized. It was full of typos and mis-matched words. Android Swype needs a new programmer. Its almost useless.
I have an ongoing series of short term goals. If you've ever been in sales then you know what a pipeline is. Well, that's how I approach everything in life. I do not have a finish line. To set and cross that line would be setting myself up for eventual complacency which in turn causes loss of prior progress. Right now my goal is to reach 12% bf while not losing any lean mass. When I reach that goal, I'll set a new one that requires me to work harder.
I won't sacrifice health to reach my goals though. I used to in my younger days when I didn't yet comprehend mortality.
What about you?Last edited by Java Man; 12-14-2013 at 07:18 PM.
