Ever try snatch grip deadlifts - they’re awesome for pulling your form back into place just start with a plate aside b/c your very wide - if you were to pull it it has to be where your dick is - seriously - if too low than go wider

Try it when feeling better and use straps even light it’s not about going heavy it’s about your form

I see we got jokes today.

The funny part is that I have like 6 of these tanks and the they all have quotes printed on them, here are a couple of them.

"Yes I have a bad back but I don't whine about it"

"I am old but I can still do a full length workout"

"No I don't do yoga I am into bodybuilding"

    "Go fuck yourself"

There are two in there, I hit them with lots of reps. Glutes get hit with everything else basically.

So you do not isolate the glutes or hams? Can you expound on this? You got me turned on to Dr McGill and he spends a lot of time on the glutes in one of his books..:.:: plus my kinesiologist has me on a glute 2x week routine for my back issues. He also has me doing bent knee deadlifts 2x week.
You know 3X as much as me on this subject so I would like to learn more.

I do not remember seeing that big a chest in your original pics. You are covered but your chest looks much bigger (from what I remember) in the bottom pic.

same here as gluten are my work areas. i know strengthening them will help my lower back. i feel crooked and my left hip 'pops'. i think the popping noise i hear is a tendon moving over a joint as it does not hurt or anything. i have been using a glute isolation machine at the gym and feel it is helping some.

Same with. Your abdominals... abs/core are key to a low back injury it takes the pressure off of the low back

I will be honest I haven't did deads or squats in 6 years.
I go through a mini menopause every few months and know exactly what you are going through. I look at most of my fat ass out of shape friends and that pulls me out of it quickly.

I have friends ask the same thing all the time "who are you trying to impress" I tell them the same thing I do it for me not for anyone else. There is nothing more satisfying than looking in the mirror and thinking "FUCK YEAH that's why".
Do rack pulls bigger yiur back? You can always go a little higher than below the knees too just a suggestion

Heavy Stiffs are the goldmine for hammies and flutes(as that’s the finishing movement / squeezing your ass cheeks together hits the glutes greatly... 2. Leg curls in a slow and controlled - 2working sets cmx- w10-12 reps then drop set 3-5x IMO

Heavy stiffs=squeeze your butt cheeks, sounds like a move you would do in prison.

Glutes get hit with squats, leg press, back hypers, dead lifts, straight legged dead’s, Romanian dead’s and so on. That’s a lot of stimulation. I could see doing isolations if I had problems but I’m fortunate I don’t. Plus I have a huge ass anyway.

Well I must have done some damage yesterday. I was in a bit of pain this morning so I decided to go to the doctor. I got

    anti inflammatory / steroid shot.
    Prednisone 20 mg
    Mathocarbamol 750 mg
    Ibuprofen 600 mg
    Tramadol 50 ml
And a referral to an ortho.

Not going to lie I feel pretty good right now. I’ll rest till Monday.

Yes, glutes and core are what I am working on differently after my back issues. Specific glute exercises 2x week. I almost got slapped by the kinesiologist when I referred to the glutes as a small muscle. He has me trying to crack a walnut with my cheeks and holding it for a minute. Not there yet.

Yes Instead of deads I do rack pulls starting right at the bottom of my knee caps. Doesn't seem to bother my back at all but I will admit I do not go extremely heavy like most people do. The max weight I will go is around 350-400 after that my back will let me know it was too heavy.

I have 2 fucking surgeries on Monday but I am still in it. Lymphadenectomy and a bone graft. Never count us old fuckers out. We all had to walk to school both ways in the winter with no shoes.

Yeah, just a fancy trademarked name (among many) for rehabilitative body work. Every 10-15 years someone comes along and creates their own trademarked therapy system. They market it to practitioners and the public and make them go to expensive classes and cert programs. So Ak, PNF, ART etc are all the same thing just different names and who is getting money to allow someone to put that on their business card.

Any of it works cause it’s based on the same physiological principals.
