10 weeks out. 3rd consecutive low carb day in this shot so a little flat but I think we can take care of that with some carb manipulation. Feel/look a bit fuller on my refeed day and the day after (only getting one high carb day now along with 3 medium and 3 low). Energy still decent but not getting great sleep. Lots of work to do still

**Marcus's HIT Dungeon**
6 weeks out. It’s getting real now and about to get a little intense. Get my first cheat meal in 9 weeks (since prep began) on Saturday so pretty pumped for that
*sorry no legs in this shot and lighting isn’t the best. I’ll get more up soon

Shit just got real for me this week. 75 mins cardio 6x/wk. We likely won’t sustain this through showtime but definitely trying to get ahead of the game now. Hit my first wall yesterday when I got home was so exhausted I fell out on the couch
175.8 lbs on Monday, 171.6 lbs today so here we go
Need to be no more than 165 for the open division so I think we need to get as close to 160 as possible a week or so out to be safe. I haven’t been under 168 in prob 20 years +

Gonna be rough today but my mind is focused. Low carb day today (only 40g all day), 75 mins cardio ahead following a leg session that I know will be brutal. Only carbs pre session will be a cup of veggies, otherwise working off 2 tbsp peanut butter, cold brew, and hopefully some adrenaline for energy.
After this, visiting my posing coach’s house for a 3 hour posing sesh. Will be ready to crash after that and very much looking forward to my only full day off tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great weekend

Oh man.. we’re not waiting for the 30th. Promptly following the comp we’re headed into Little Italy Bmore to our fav post show spot where we typically go with competitors on our team. Been going to this place for a few years and they’re expecting us on the 29th. In fact, the owner agreed to open an hour early just for our group. Super pumped
On the 30th, however, we have a full scale taco party planned and then Halloween chili on Monday with all the fixins.
Will enjoy a few days of being a bit frivolous but will get back to a planned regimen shortly thereafter with maybe one cheat meal per week. Will have to determine what we’re doing going forward and some of that is contingent on how we do in this comp. It is a National qualifier so, if I take a division, I’ll qualify to compete nationally and if that’s the case, I can’t imagine that I’ll be able to resist getting up on a National stage. If anything, just to say I did it. Not trying to get ahead of myself through and just focused on this one. Tough not to think about though.

Very close! If you include some other related expenses, custom posing trunks, hotel rooms for me, the wife, and a separate one for the girls, you’re actually right on the money kel.
Of course, that’s competition expense, only, and does not include coaching for prep and some other relevant needs for the prep process as you can imagine.

Had a nerve ablation today. Not sure if any old school members remember, but I’ve been dealing with back issues most of my life. With further L5/S1 movement, it began impinging upon a nerve which I’ve been living with, and has gotten progressively worse for the last 6 1/2 years. Chiropractic adjustments, decompression therapy, inversion, corticosteroid injections, massage, acupuncture, you name it I’ve tried it, all to no avail.
Went through a couple battles with insurance over the past couple of years trying to get this done, had to test procedures, previously leading up to this. There is apparently a brain/nerve connection that may take 10-14 days to discover the success rate of this procedure, but for all accounts, looks like it went well, and hoping to get at least six months of relief from this procedure, at which time the nerve will likely reconnect.
Good news is I can do this procedure over and over again as long as it’s effective, which I would like to do before shifting to any orthopedic solutions, which are much more invasive and lengthy recovery time
It was hard not to be emotional following the procedure even though I’m not even certain it worked yet. Having lived with this for so long, and the idea of there being some relief, being able to take hikes with my wife again, walk around with my friends any sort of distance, regular life activities that revolve around, standing and walking, is something that I’ll never take for granted again

167.7 this morning and got 2 low days ahead of me with 75 mins cardio. Might be hovering around 165 by Monday morn (165 max stage weight for my open class). 3 weeks out from today
Feel surprisingly good after the procedure yesterday. Minimal pain although a little tender. Otherwise I haven't felt ANY nerve pain it's amazing so far
All businesses this weekend. Training/cardio today/tomorrow, posing class, and some self care things as well. HAW left town this morning and the kids are squared away so I'm tunnel visioned in on the mission

Just wait until you get color! Difference is amazing.
Seems like you have a good coach!
Agree with all the comments. Really look on point.
Remember with your side shots to push the front leg against the back leg and slide it forward to help pull out the ham.
You're going to nail this! Hope I can make it down.
