With this schedule I get off 1 week a month and a few days here and there, but the commute really screws it up. 12 hours+3 hours to/from gets old. One day out of the week off is pretty much dedicated to maximum sleep

Congrats on getting done with your course. I'm sure you'll nail it!

4 weeks on lots of training since then.

I have started for an experiment once or twice a week doing an early session and then hitting the bed and then a night session it is working for sure. I've packed on some good size with some fat but nothing that can't be gotten rid of with some cardio and minor adjustment of cals.

    Eww.....

I did see a meme the other day that I thought was hysterical. Something to the effect of: "Start your day with a run because it can't get any worse after that"!

    Oops! Maybe I must edit!

Cardiovascular setting in infrared sauna! longest preset program at 45 minutes and runs hotter than others - anti-aging, relaxation, detoxifying are less time with different far, mid and near infrared frequencies.

If YOU 🩷 it HOT and SWEATY Kel, CARDIO is a MUST!

I definitely want one now. That ought to really push out the toxins, flush out the system/ be good for a system detox/ flush.

There are very few things I miss from a commercial gym, but a good steam room and a good sauna are definitely missed.

Posted this elsewhere but wanted to post it here with my family. . Lab results and commentary is below. I'll be dropping from 200mg of test/week back to 120- 130-ish now.

Just had labs earlier.eGFR continues to improve. In 2021 I was CKD stage 3b (32} I'm sticking with the astragalus as a maintenance med for a while.

I can't say it's a cure-all, that would be a lie. But something sure eliminated the cysts on my kidneys without surgical procedure or intervention. My eGFR increased, creatinine is holding steady at top of the range.

I honestly was thinking PKD was going to end up wrecking my kidneys. Maybe astragalus is beneficial depending on the cause of poor kidney performance? eGFR is now 65.5 ml/m/1.73.

I didn't fast for these panels in the pic below, so glucose was a tad high. .Even though lipids are in range, I want to lower Total and LDL just because they used to be out-f-in standing. Also test wasn't pulled on a trough day.

Going to setup my 45į press for hacks, reverse hacks, calve raises, and then switch to leg presses. See if that improves the lipids a tad more.....I don't usually play on leg exercises; I tend to give it hell and go with multiple working sets and really work the old ticker, and leave a puddle of sweat in the floor.
I miss my 20 reps sets of breathing squats, but it will be a little while yet.

I'm cleared by the neurosurgeon for back squats, but I don't want to have too much action on too many things at once right now. I would like to get in some front squats, but the shoulder doesn't like that movement. A friend of mine that coaches at the local high school has an old rusty safety squat bar that he used to use for front squats, he's had shoulder and neck surgeries similar to mine. He just flips the bar around backwards. I may try it.

I have the potential for some hand surgery in a few months so if can't do an exercise, legs will be the victim.

Surgery will likely be carpal tunnel ( confirmed by NVC study when they rebuilt my neck), Dequervain's tenosynovitis and DePuytren's contracture (not confirmed by any imaging yet) but they said they're confident. Of course, they'll do imaging prior to surgery

This is a National/Pro Qualifier so if your boy takes the overall Iíll earn a pro card. Training to win!!

Havenít been to a BB contest since a Mr. O in the 80ís. Thinking 40 years is long enough and might give it a go. You young fellas might make me feel a touch ancient though.

Hopefully the show wonít run too late into the night, I generally hit the sack by 9:00 ish. Can you talk with the promoters about that? Appreciate it!
