No doubt it does. But the main thing, imho, is that you're still cutting your range of motion in half. How much stronger would you be on a half-squat as opposed to a full squat? Know what I mean?

    Yes makes perfect sense.

I skipped declines altogether today. Started with hammer strength, incline db, incline fly, then triceps: hammer strength dip machine, skulls, push downs, db extensions. 30 mins cardio.

Felt so good to be back in there after 5 days.

Gym was crowded as hell but mostly in the cardio.

So did back today really killed it from the yates vids on the youtube

Started with bb rows yates style aka really pull elbows in and pull elbows above the back for the sqeeze. Then into heavy weighted rows really hammered them. Back was pumping after it

Then t bars same as above one heavy set then double drop back was on fire really wide.

Then tensioned deads back was feeling strong so got a pb only one rep but was happy 180kg so theres a target to strive for.

I did pull ups just fatigue my back, then db single rows love these.

Finish with hypers to strech out my lower back

    And cardio

I've been sick as hell the last few days. Threw up in my sleep and when I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth it turned into a photo finish to the toilet lol. Then I pulled something in my neck so I can't turn my damn head. Icy hot helps it but when. It wears off the pain is back.

On top of all this - I woke up this morning and I feel like I'm bloated and full of water. Every joint is stiff.....

    :-(

I'm actually quite liking the hoodie, you may need to introduce me to your tailor. Provided he does normal sizes of course.

When are you starting your cycle?

I find it hard to buy clothes because I hate things tight around my legs and neck. That hoody clings to me but not bad for training in

.....and I'm putting this afterrnoon's lift off until the morning. The wife messed up her knee. Had it drained and corticosteroid shots. I've been trying to get her to be diligent about icing it....it's a maddening process with her. Anyway, think I'm going to help her with her stretches and icing until time to go to work.
....ought to be a cold lift in the morning. Supposed to be down in the teens tonight.....brrr.

My knees have been bothering me lately so I skipped legs, sort of. I didn't skip completely just did.high rep low weight stuff. Giving my knees a break.

Since my leg work wasn't 100% I threw a.good tricep session in afterwards.

    Close grip bench on smith
    Incline skulls with curly bar
    Dumbbell tricep extension, seated
    V bar pushdown

They are sore today++. Even my quads are a bit sore but they don't get much higher volume work so maybe that's why. Knees don't hurt though.

Sorry to hear some of you guys are sick. Get better and try not to lose weight.

Marcus, I've seen you post up snippets here and there of your daily diet. I know you're busy with all you contribute....and a big "Thank you for all you do"!
When you get an opportunity, would you post up an example meal or two of your prime diet and your on cycle diet?

Marcus, what stretching and/or other techniques do you use during training if any?

Ive started to incorporate more stretching but also frequent use of the foam roller for SMR. It is really loosening up my tight hamstrings, calves etc...

Probably shouldn't have but I trained back today. Just light, felt good to be doing the movements without pain, just a little discomfort. See the physio again Tuesday and hopefully do some delt work then too. Need to train properly, need to get BIGGERRRRRRRRRRR

At least there was no pain, and you were able to get the movements in. Probably a good thing. Good luck ok Tuesday.

You're doing the smart thing chad.. You'll bounce back easily. Can you do any stretches or band movements in the interim?
