Spoke to a bodybuilder today at the gym what ive not seen for around 15years, he said I was looking great but I had lost a lot of size from 10 years ago. He said I was a monster back in the day and the biggest guy he had ever seen. I feel deflated and pissed off

I was 245lbs at 6% so I was lighter but looked a lot bigger. I know I can get to those levels again but I just cant and wont use the drug use what I need to reach that super human size again. The thing is this guy is a BIG fuker but I am still far bigger and a lot stronger and he is ten years younger. He will never be my size now or the size I use to be but the guy is a good guy, there is no harm in him at all and is a true hardcore Bodybuilder.

I do have fire in my eyes now though

Marcus, at 270lbs can you still wipe your own arse? Or do you have a little Phillipino boy to help?

Edit - this is what you use Euro for isn't it, I seem to recall you referring to him as an 'arsewipe'.

Fvck that dude...... We all age and change as time goes on. You've been there already...... You know what it takes. He'll never reach that level so at the end of the day..... What he says doesnt matter. Lets see where he's at in another 10 years.

People will always try to hold you back...... If its not the guy telling you that you're obsessed and "too big" - it'll be the guy telling you that you've been bigger. You've got more discipline than anyone here..... All that matters is how you feel you look.

    Carry on big guy!

Thanks Haz, I know deep in my heart he will never be my size now let alone when I was at my best. The guy is a huge guy and I like him he is a good guy but he wont train with me which tells you something

Some guys just don't have enough drive to achieve ur size man. It takes A LOT of work. It's a hell of a lot more than eying and getting to the gym everyday...... If I don't absolutely love it you won't make it.

Just to get to where I was took a lot..... By my standards.... And that's not even holding a candle to heavyweight competitor. Hard and heavy lifting..... Lots of food..... I know to push beyond that I have to make some changes and focus more. I admire those that put 100% in..... Not just the big guys but all the guys in this thread that give it all they've got to attain their goal.

it sounds a little like Trigger finger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

like most types of inflammation/injury, my fav treatment is oral NSAIDs, and maybe even add in some prednisolone. try to massage the painful area to decrease the tendon swelling. this should improve the range of movement.

last resort, cortisone/lignocaine injection. (dont get worried by the pic in the wiki page. its scary, but surgery is usually not required.)

Leg press-2 w/u, Work-7-2-3. Still slowly working up the weight on this one.
    Power thrust-1 w/u, Work-10-4-4 .May nudge.this one up.
Hack Squat-2 w/u, Work-7-5-2. May bump this one up also...?...
    Calf raises-2 w/u, Work1-7-4-4-drop weight-Work2-13-drop-failure.

Took about 50 minutes to lift, strip plates off of my leg sled and tidy up. I'm pretty sure that when the temps hit 80°-85°F that I will have to slow down a tad to keep my heart from working too hard, but for now I seem to be holding together reasonably well.

Arms are next in rotation. Right elbow still has a small nagging ache. Might wear a compression sleeve or brace next time. Will see how I do with press downs, I guess??

Been using the 70/30 DMSO that Kel posted up. It definitely provides some relief. Lol, I bought another salve from the same vendor. I believe it is more for joint pain. Anyway, it is called Penetrex. I was opening up the jar and the wife asked what it was. I replied "sex lube", stood up, walked over and stood in front of her, and began applying it to my elbow while looking her straight in the eye.....think she is still struggling to comprehend.

Penetrex sounds like sex lube. haha I'm thinking about starting to leg press again. I've just been trying to get my lower back and hammys limber enough again.

Today was a rest day. I still did 30 minutes of cardio and was tempted to blast my arms again after seeing everyone else working arms today, but resisted and kept my overtrained ass on the stairmill

Props on the dedication to cardio!! I really have grown to prefer my leg sled vs. squats on a weekly basis. I seem to have a knack for tweaking my spinal erectors...When I use the leg press, I try to keep my back glued to the pad and it has cut down on injury a good bit.

Thinking about taking a yoga class for flexibility. And for the fact that there are a lot of milfs in there with tight pants on

My problem with leg press is its hard to get my lower back to stay flat on the pad for the whole rep. when my knees get too close to my chest my lower back wants to come off

I had a little bit of trouble with that but was able to eliminate a good bit of it by messing around with the position of the plate that the feet press against?????

The yoga class could be of.benefit.on many levels.
