But have all the symptoms of a tear.
Damn Sfla I hope it's not too bad for you to work around(lightly or like Viking mentioned!

I hate to hear that Sfla80. My wife tore hers. Do you hear a clicking sound when you bend your knee? If you do, that's the sound of the portion of your meniscus that's torn rolling up on your kneecap. If it is torn, you need to have it scoped or that sob will give you fits from now on! Not much of any blood flow to the meniscus. But if it's a small tear he might be able to just trim that part off, you will be alright with what's left. If he has to sow it. Healing takes a about 6-8 weeks. With plenty of rehab. Good luck man.

I've removed all the meniscus on my right knee with arthroscopy in 2011 after an injury i had in 2000.Now I've no pain or any kind of problem, but if i do squats or if i have to jump, then i have weird feeling on my knee, discomfort,it looks like my knee will break!
In few years, probably arthritis will be formed in that knee, cuz meniscus is a shock absorber! So if you have to go through surgery, arthroscopy is piece of cake,i could walk after 2 days, and run after 3-4 weeks!

Mr freshmaker....thanks. walking after two days sounds better then what I thought it would be.

Strongblood. I don't necessarily hear a clicking..I was gonna ask the doc this question but he was in and out. Honestly didn't even explain anything to me put on a short video explaining it. Which I had all symptoms

What I do get, it's like "knuckle cracking" but in the knee and happens quiet often....samething??

I use 2 lacrosse balls for my back. Excellent choice.

When I went in for my MRI it was completely unrelated to the meniscus, actually both times it was. I got the added surprise of partial tears in both, but both were on the outer part of the horn that does receive blood flow so that healing could take place.

Read this link, it will help you understand the meniscus and how blood flows, and doesn't flow like kel said, to parts of the potential injured area.

    10 min warmup elliptical

    45 sec plank hold
Tricep pull down. (I intended to do arms but gym crawling with ppl so I switched to legs)
    Seated calf raises
    Ab and ad ductor
    Gluteus machine
    High step low lunge (killer)
    Standing leg press
Squats (could not get in earlier. Chest in squat rack )
    Sumo squats
    Seated leg curls
Hip thrusts on ball 40 lbs. killer.
    20 minutes of yoga

All 3 sets 12 reps except squats and sumo for 4 sets. Weights are low but expected.

My assessment is muscle loss in quads, hamstrings, biceps, back, tri, shoulder, chest and stomach. Calves are good. LoL.

    I have work to do.

    Cardio tomorrow!

Sounds like you had a great session... Plus getting back into it hard always tightens me up more! Lol - hope those stretches loosen ya up good!

Stretching has been hurting but I think I'm making progress, need to add in PT/lengthening/ART - and to break up anything posdible...

Gonna crash out guys gals see Ya in the Mornin'
