Leg press didn't bother me. So I'll stick to that and try rack pulls on back day. I'm not having surgery.
I had one fixed years ago Laparascopically (think small holes, no cut.) Put a screen in and I was good to go. Squatting again in about 5-6 weeks. It was not fun though. I probably has the hernia for 20 years and it never bothered me I just did not like seeing the lump/bulge any longer. I tried to talk the doc into just putting a screen on the other side while there but he wouldn't do it. Probably wants repeat business in the future. Fvcker.

So, did legs Wednesday after taking a week off to let my hamstring heal up. Quad work went great! Actually trying to cut the depth down a bit and keep a shorter range of motion. Not getting any younger and just don't need to go as deep, imho. Anyway, got to hamstrings and wasn't even thinking about the "pull" as they felt good. All warm ups went great. Got to my first working set and on rep one felt the pull / tug again. DAMMIT.

That ended the workout for me (skipped calves....I'll live)

So, may try a couple weeks off hams now. Did back yesterday and had to do more supported exercises to minimize stress to it. You don't realize how much hams are involved in back work until you injure one.

    Shoulders before work today.

Db press 85x6 drop 2 sets
Bent over lateral raise (pinkies and db head facing up) 35x6 drop 2 sets
Standing lat raises 35x5 with 2 half reps drop 2 sets
    Cable reverse flys
Smith machine shrugs 2 sets front and back.

Maybe 35 mins total...so had a few to spare and knocked out some abs/core.

Now ready for my 13 hr shift :/

Kel, my boss just had a double hernia done. Said the pain has lessened but it's still there. Dr told him it always will be but there's no danger. I don't like the idea of that. .

The one thing that makes me think it's not a hernia, there's no bulge. Granted I'm not extremely lean, but I've heard you can see the bulge even in obese cases. I'm just not sure what else it could be.

The pain almost feels like it's on the skin. Like maybe my shorts are chaffing? But I've tried them pulled up above the area, down below the area (at home, before I joined the gym.. Don't think I could pull that off now) and it doesn't subside.

I get the same burning sensation on heavy deads and I don't have a hernia. I think what happens to me is a ab strain. Afterwards it will feel like it is burning but not really painful. It goes away after a few minutes. Only happens when I go really heavy. Same thing?

what's up chef man? Hope all is good and married life is treating you well. Are you happy with the decision you made to stay with your current gig? I can't say I'm 100% happy with the choice I made to make a change, but making the best out of it. I don't think my wife likes me too much right now thought.. lol.

I think you'll be okay skipping calves.. lol. Sorry about the pull man.. I know how frustrating it is. I don't remember the last time my rotator cuffs were throbbing, which is nice but I know I could be working a lot harder.

I've spent a good bit of time reading through this entire thing over the last few days, and just wow...

There's better stuff in here than any training article I've ever read. This thread might be the single most useful bodybuilding "thing" on the internet.

Well right now I'm trying to cut down some body fat. I figure my TDEE is around 3200 calories. So I've been trying to eat around about 300-600 calories under that everyday. This is where I'm at today. I'll probably pound a shake before bed and that'll put me up another 50 grams of protein for the day, and about 2,700 calories total for the day.

I have no doubt you're kicking @ss, Igi...you've got the perfect combo.. intensity tempered w/ class and a generous dab of respect for others. Got a feeling you'll be @ the top of the food chain @ the new gig very soon ( if you aren't already)..
Keep those 2x/ week sessions going, buddy!!! If you can squeak in 1 more session/week...Blammo!!!!......you'll be on an EOD lifting schedule. The whole thing about your wife not being thrilled w/ the work schedule, well, I think most wives are like that. I know mine is. That's one of the many mysteries of women
They'll fuss about our workload, but on the other hand, they go all out to help us maintain our schedule. Best wishes to you and the Igi clan.

Been resting up myself, DCI. Didn't get my 3 day weekend, but I just got in a huge rest period. Woke up, ate, rested, lathered, rinsed, and repeated. Going to eat here in a little while and then get going.

Time to see a doc hawk. I've had zero pain with it once healed. I don't understand why the pain would always be there like your friends doc said. Makes no sense to me.

Ah brutha.. thanks for the kind words. She is definitely supportive, but I can see it in her eyes that she's disappointed when I'm working through nights and weekends..budget season is about to start to that's not going to change at all. Gotta work hard now to keep opportunities at the forefront. You are right though.. I think about getting up at 4-5am to get a session in, but those thoughts are often deferred when I realize its 2-3am and my face is still in the laptop working. lol.. We're all alive and healthy thought, so f*ck it.. I'll figure it out

Me Irish clover DCI what's up bro? Good hearing from you and glad you're staying conscious of the care needed for the body on the path to growth. Rest is huge and nothing wrong with taking a few days off to 're-boot'.

Well sadly im gonna have to stop the tren . Mainly for what I think is prolactin issues. I have been using adex at .5 eod. Unless its bunk my e2 should be in control. Yesterday my left nipple only I noticed very tender and some pain. Swollen gland I can feel. Ive read a long time and still cant be for sure whats wrong. Hopefully im not developing breast tissue..fck. also im very snappy on this stuff. I cant control it it happens to fast and its iver and then I realize what ive said or done. So im in a pickle. I need blood work badly. My arimidex im using is pharmaceutical but its expired in April has it lost potency? Anyone got any advice. Stop the tren and continue testosterone until I get my blood and some caber and/or possibly a new AI? Might use aromasin this time

Expired pharm grade adex is still good. Stopping tren for now is a good choice, imho.
