Well a don't really know kel. I was hoping you and prox or the fellas could come up with something as am a bit stuck. When i spoke to the surgeon after the scan he said it would be best not to do surgery. I am going to see the doc again, so i can get referred back to the surgeon kel. To be honest though kel i really can't get surgery if it has got worse, I can't stay off work full stop.

Clarky, sorry buddy doing wife stuff today after the gym, just got to the forum.
The ACL shouldn't be an issue with leg press, really shouldn't, it's gotta be the quad tendon tear affecting your quads, basically shutting the quads down a bit without your control unfortunately. Tell me more if you can. I'll get on-line a little later o.k.?

He, fella. We all have a life mate, I really appreciate your time prox. I don't know if it makes a difference, but the press is the one that is incline. The pain is from under the knee cap, the day it came from the bottom left side if the knee if felt like the bone. very sore popping snapping sound ect.

With the patellar tendon issues, and the fact that you aren't young anymore, plus very active with work and lifting, the joint surfaces between your patella and the portion of the end of your thigh bone (femur)that it runs upon is likely starting to wear. It's referred to as the patellofemoral joint.
The movement of a leg press shouldn't mess with your ACL .
A tear of the meniscus could cause popping and a ton of pain, but that too shouldn't happen like this.
Between the tendon tear, work and lifting, your quads just might be shutting down on you, putting a lot of pressure on the patellofemoral joint. Didn't you have another issue earlier this week, or was it last week?

Why didn't the surgeon want to repair the ACL? Calling it a night, will check back in about 12 hours Clarky.

Do you wear anything for heat or support when working legs, Clarky? That wouldn't be an cure, but if you can get this somewhat sorted via surgery of maybe PT depending on the root cause, it might be worth trying if you don't?
Just a thought.Last edited by almostgone; 10-30-2016 at 01:18 AM.

BTW, fvcking beautiful country, Clarky! Iceland, Scotland, Ireland, and UK are on my list of places to go if I ever hit the lottery. Been to plenty of places I didn't really have the urge to see when I was younger. Would like to actually visit some places that I've admired via the Internet and Google Sky view/Maps.
